SETTING INFORMATION
 • Space Station Name: Chiron Space Station
 • Station Model: Modeled after The Golan VIII Space Defense Platform
 • Classification: Trading/Safe Harbor.
 • Location: Being a mobile station, the Chiron Station does not sit in permanency, and is sure to relocate around the galaxy frequently.
 • Affiliation: Ownership currently falls to Alistair Myre.
 • Population: Population fluctuates depending on the station's location, averaging usually at moderately populated.
 • Demographics: Population is very diverse, with a mix of foreign and local people and races. The station also accommodates everyone from any walk of life, be it Sith or Jedi, criminal or hero, the owner does not discriminate.
 • Accessibility: The station is always accessible and visible to whomever is traveling nearby, making sure to advertise its presence and come off as extremely welcoming to everybody.
 • Description: The Chiron Space Station appears to replicate that of the old Golan space platforms, with two large 'body' areas of the station sandwiching a smaller docking platform in the center. The platform is also topped with a circular observation deck. However, its most unique feature, much like the Golan VIII model is the hyperdrives fitted in the station to allow for relocation of the large station throughout the galaxy.

DEFENSES

While Chiron Station has no offensive capabilities, it has the usual defensive implementations such as deflector and ion shields and well as reinforced glass and steel to prevent/subside any major damage that might occur from any miscellaneous objects, sabotage or a very low rate assault. In the case of a serious threat, the station will activate its emergency hyperdrive system, sending out an automated message to the occupants on the station at the time, warning them that the station is about to perform an emergency evacuation of the area, the station will then do just that and attempt to escape via a light speed jump to the closest system.

POINTS OF INTEREST

-The Purple Porg:
The most popular cantina aboard the station is the Purple Porg. Run by an old Trandoshan named Slossk but nicknamed to what he is more commonly known as to those whom are permanent residents aboard the Chiron, 'Cutie,' a name he says is one of the most deplorable things he's heard in his long life. The Porg is famous throughout the station for serving amazing food, however Cutie is not the best barman, and everybody does their best to avoid the drinks.

-The Golden Markets
Centrally located and so large that finding the market from anywhere aboard the station would be simple, the Golden Markets take up the most area on the ship available to the public. Due to its mobile nature, the station has traversed most of the galaxy and collected a diverse range of goods that flow between hands within the market, creating its own micro-economy. In an effort to alleviate some of the substantial costs of running an entire station, a fraction of each transaction that takes place in the markets goes to Alistair Myre, the mysterious owner and carer of the station. The markets are also dotted with various guardsmen to protect the copious stalls and scare off any potential thieves.

-The Public Library
A large library open for public use, the public library contains vast knowledge for anyone dedicated enough to seek it out. The library is a mostly free service, containing old style books, data pads and a few basic holocrons for anyone aboard in the library or people may chose to you the rental system as long as they are aboard the ship and provide proof of their residence on board.

-The Arcanium
Not available to the general public, the Arcanium is Alistair Myre's private collection of artifacts and other pieces of information deemed unfit for public use. Including Myre himself, only a handful of people know of the Arcanium's existence, hidden away near his private chambers aboard the station, only accessible through a security detail and a particular key given only to those whom Alistair trusts personally.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Constantly on the move, Chiron Space Station never remains in the same location for too long. The station was originally constructed as a defense platform around Coruscant, with the ability to travel through hyperspace at will, the station was originally planned for high mobility defense in areas under threat by the One Sith. Renamed by Alistair Myre's grandfather to Chiron Space Station, the platform is now a mobile safe-harbor throughout the galaxy. While the station does not enforce many rules, the enforced law that everybody has followed since it was taken over by the Myre family is the 'no violence zone.'

The station is a neutral zone, accepting of all races, factions and people of all moral ambiguities. Whether they be Jedi, Sith, pirate or city-folk, the Chiron and its current owner, Alistair Myre does not discriminate and welcomes all walks of life to stay for a time so long as they obey the rule of pacifism whilst aboard the ship. Those who disobey said rule are punished based on severity, if the incident was minor, a drunken brawl for example, the perpetrators are marked with a warning and blacklisted for a time, a second incident from a blacklisted person, or a more serious incident will mean that the person in question's privileges upon the ship are removed and they are transported to their ship or to the nearest planet, depending on the circumstances. Only once has anyone exceeding the need for these punishments, a cocky Devaronian pirate who had been staying on the station with his crew, seeking refuge from an Alliance fleet who had been hunting them. They had been causing trouble in one of the smaller cantinas on the station and were blacklisted and given a warning at first. Wanting to test the limits of the station, the Devaronian captain pulled a blaster on a group of merchants in the cantina, ordering his crew to execute them where they sat. He and his crew were quickly apprehended and taken to Myre. After a short while, the crew were jettisoned out into space in a public display of what happens to those who do not heed the rules. The Deveronian, however, was strangely absent from the public execution, and all records of his stay at the station had been erased from the Chiron's records.

The Chiron Space Station continues to wander the galaxy, stopping intermittently in orbit around planets whilst it attracts patrons for a time. People come, enjoy the hospitality of the famed station, trading at the markets and dinning at the cantinas and restaurants, then they leave, having spent their credits and creating memories for themselves. No matter the situation of the galaxy, constant war or uneasy peace, the Chiron will always be there to provide refuge to those in need. Just follow the rules.
