STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Can resist ion/EMP attacks
  • In standard configuration, can accommodate a wide variety of ordnance
  • In endurance and torpedo configurations, can drop bombs/torpedoes without need for resupply
  • Slim flank profile
  • SLAM allows for either a boost of speed or maneuverability in a pinch
WEAKNESSES
  • Slow hyperdrive
  • In standard configuration, limited ordnance
  • In endurance and torpedo bombing configurations, unstable ordnance launchers can take out the craft in prolonged use (about 5 minutes of continuous operation of the bomblet generator and energy torpedo launcher respectively)
  • Exposed engines
  • Continuous use of the SLAM can cause engines or maneuvering thrusters to overheat
DESCRIPTION
With the doctrines of the main Chiloon-IV users evolving towards a more decentralized deployment of fighters, while nonetheless acknowledging that hyperdrives can be useful, for example if the fighter outlives its mothership, or when retreating from a lost engagement, a slower hyperdrive was deemed acceptable, especially since fighters were used for intra-sector patrolling. That, in turn, allowed better speed and maneuverability, and, combined with the new SLAM, can provide an extra speed or maneuverability boost, at the expense of the other. However, the SLAM should not be used for prolonged periods and prolonged use would likely result in damage to engines or maneuvering thrusters. Nevertheless, the Chiloon-V is expected to remain a fighter of choice for atmospheric operations as well as deep-space operations.

Very nice submission!

My only issue here is that "Extreme" ratings are reserved to unique and semi-unique submissions and this is a mass-produced submission, could you possibly make this correction please? Otherwise, I see no reason not to approve this.
