Chillin'

Cirque Glacier, Hoth

Cameron's silver-green gaze remained focused ahead of him as he entered the common area on board the Nemesis. Having only arrived the evening prior, he'd spent the night inside with the two men and one woman that had accompanied him. The woman happened to be his ex-wife from...centuries ago. Fortunately the journey from Exocron to Hoth had been a rather brief, uneventful one. The Sith Lord hadn't really expected anything else. They were both completely different people than they had once been. In fact, it had actually been good to catch up.

The week prior, Cameron had instructed one of his students to meet him at these specific coordinates. The last time they'd interacted, Cameron had taught Zoey the finer points of movement and using her surroundings to her best advantage. Outside of that, he'd also worked on honing her tracking and hunting skills - critical elements to being a well-rounded warrior. At the same time, he'd taught her to endure the humid environment of the jungle.

Now...she would see the other side of the coin. Hoth itself was just barely tolerable during the daylight hours, and the temperature out here by the glaciers and ice flows never actually rose above freezing. Fall into the water and you were almost certain to die if not immediately treated. It was true that most force users could regulate their body temperature to stave off the negative effects of feeling the cold. However, that did not prevent the damage freezing weather could do to skin and nerves...especially when you couldn't feel it happening.

As a result of these factors, Cameron was dressed in a medium-weight thermal uniform fitted to his build. He'd wear an overcoat with a large, fur-lined hood overtop when he stepped outside, but he did not presently have it on. A pair of snow goggles hung loosely around his neck as he went about grabbing something to drink while he awaited Crystal rising from her room and Zoey's arrival.

Crystal had been working with [member="Zoey Marix"] during hyperspace trips to several recent missions. So they had touched the basics, starting with a training saber so that neither of them lost their heads or limbs. It was more to get her used to holding and using the saber, to get comfortable with it. There would always be time for that.

The Sith Princess emerged from her room dressed for the weather and with a smile. She entered the common room and helped herself to a drink and a snack. Crystal hadn't had an appetite like this in a very long time. With a nod to [member="Cameron Centurion"], she sat down with her snack and drink.

"So, we're off to freeze to death. Won't that be fun?" She smirked.

(Sorry guys been busy with life)

Taking a hold of the Training saber, a simple cylinder with a white blade that I almost never used, Clipped to my belt. I allowed the thermal suit to slide over my body and would be covered with various furs from animals. The jacket fit on my body nicely for this rather cold environment. Alright, "rather cold" was the incorrect term. Lets say that it was so cold that my ships heating systems were being over burdened. I attached my Echani Dueling shield to my left arm, still loving the use of it's protective nature.

Walking out of the ship, A YJX-1200 freighter, And into the blowing of winds and snow. I had landed the larger sized freighter away from the meeting place where My Master who had suddenly left now told me to meet here. I also believed that Crystal was showing up as well. Probably to help with my training. Either way, I was happy to have two people willing to teach me of the art of lightsaber combat.

Returing to the present time. I walked on, towards the meeting spot where I saw two personages. At first it was hard to tell who was who. Mostly because of the clothing that they wore, but as I got closer it was easy to see the man's superior height over the woman. Moving up I nodded to both of them. Each willing to teach.

"I am here, and willing to learn."

Cameron took a long sip of his bottled water as Crystal entered the common room. It might have seemed like an odd choice on a planet such as Hoth, but the Sith Lord knew that dehydration was just as much a concern in cool weather as it was in warm. Crystal's comment was only met with a half-hearted smile. The Sith Lord hadn't really ever been big on teaching. It wasn't because he did not care about the development of others. It was, simply, that most young people these days were impossible to teach. They wanted the 100% solution in 25% of the time.

Fortunately, Zoey did not appear to fall into that category. It wasn't but a moment longer before an individual dressed in the colors of Aatrox entered the room. "Disciple Marix approaches, Lord Centurion."

"Very well." Cameron watched as the man departed and Zoey entered. For a moment, the Sith Lord was silent as he evaluated the woman's appearance. "Ms. Marix." Finishing off his bottle of water, Cameron stood and grabbed his coat. As he pulled it on, the Aatrox follower made his way towards the exit. "Let's get started then."

Stepping out into the frozen tundra, Cameron pulled the goggles down over his eyes and awaited the two females.

Cameron smiled a little, which was enough for Crystal. She plowed down her snack when one of Cameron's followers announced that Zoey was nearly there. She guzzled the rest of her drink and stood up next to Cameron.

She greeted Zoey with a nod and let Cameron lead the way to whatever hell he'd planned for fun. The Sith pulled her goggles down and pulled the hood up on her head before stepping out after Cameron. It was colder than she remembered. That was annoying. Easily rectified, but still annoying.

She followed her ex-husband and would continue to do so to their final destination on the ice world.

As Crystal nodded to me in a welcome, I looked to see that the Crusader had already began to leave. Grabbing my own goggles, I placed them over my head, and moved the hood to cover my head. I remembered that as a child that my father would always tell me that the most of your body heat left through the head, pits, and groin. As so, I let the fur lined hood cover my head.

Following the two, I could say that something was between them. But decided to let what happened, happen and focus on my teaching.

Cameron walked the pair of females no more than a handful of feet from his vessel which immediately retracted the loading ramp. The sound of the auxiliary power units could barely be heard over the heavy wind cutting through the area. Silent for several moments, the Sith Lord looked between the two women with a smile. Stepping close to both of them, he spoke in a slightly elevated tone. "First. We get the blood flowing. Follow me."

No sooner had the words left his lips than Cameron darted off towards the edge of the Glacier. As he neared the edge as a precipitous drop into the freezing waters below, the Sith Lord drew heavily on the Force. In an instant, he'd vaulted so high into the sky that his physical presence became lost to the reduced visibility of a thick haze settling over the area.

Some eighty to a hundred feet away from the glacier, Cameron landed gently on a large piece of free-floating ice. The ice, part of one of many treacherous ice flows, was no more than twenty square meters in size. It was small...but big enough for the three of them.

Crystal concentrated on listening to [member="Cameron Centurion"] when he got closer. She didn't like the sounds of getting their blood flowing. That usually meant something extreme. And before she could even open her mouth to inquire, he was leaping off a cliff.

She sighed, though probably not audibly to [member="Zoey Marix"] because of the wind. For a moment she considered making a comment, but thought better of wasting her energy. She ran off in the same direction that Cameron had, and jumped. The Force carried her to the floating ice cube where she landed a little less softly than she would have liked. Crystal staggered for a moment before getting her balance.

The Sith Princess brushed it off, as if nothing had happened.

[member="Cameron Centurion"] was already jumping as I knew what, well more of a general idea on what we were going to be doing. As the other two Masters of the force jumped off the edge and onto the ice berg, I followed them without hesitation. using the force to aid my run and jump. I knew that I was not going to simply land softly on the iceberg that they had landed on. But I had to try.

In the midair jump, I used telekinesis to pull myself up and back to slow myself down and to land softer than what [member="Crystal"], had. I had limited prowess in Telekinesis but just enough to get by. I knew that I would have to work on that later on. because right now, I was jumping from place to place, for a seemingly unknown reason. However, I had to trust these two. If they were to do something, I would follow. if they say jump, it was my job to ask, "How high?" should they say to run, I was to ask, "How Far?" and truly I would accomplish anything for this.

Cameron had watched [member="Zoey Marix"]'s almost laborious descent. Were this a combat situation, she would har forfeited whatever surprise a rapid decent through the haze might have given her. The Sith Lord was rather sure he'd emphasized the need to be constantly aware of your surroundings regardless of the situation.

Without making a sound, the Aatrox Priest unleashed two powerful blasts of Kinetite directly at Zoey's feet. His goal was to disintegrate the ice around the woman, not obliterate her existence. Silently, his silver-green gaze darted briefly to [member="Crystal"] before settling back in Zoey, watching for her reaction.

Crystal had no reaction to his methods, as she'd witnessed them first hand many times before. She merely stood there and let him teach his lesson. Soon they'd move on. Hopefully Zoey would be able to handle herself. Otherwise she'd be in a world of pain.

As I had landed I only looked up to see the reactions of my twin Masters, when white balls of solidified energy were thrown at me by the Priest. I had to act fast. Indistinctly moved to the left. with a twist of my body. The toes of my boots hung on the edge of the ice as I moved. I knew that I would be falling over if I did not move again. Swinging my right foot around to my left, I twisted my form once again moving to be closer to Crystal and where she was standing.

I only wondered why the man was destroying the ice below our feet. If we were going to stand here longer. Then there was another motive to this man. And this was literally keeping me on my toes.

[member="Crystal"], [member="Cameron Centurion"]

Cameron's only reaction to [member="Zoey Marix"]'s balancing act was to casually draw his Sith Sword. The crimson blade of the weapon glowed a dull, blood red briefly as it was released from the worn scabbard. Maintaining his silver-green gaze on Zoey, Cameron touched the tip of the weapon to the ice in front of him. "You have sparred enough. I can't speak to the skill level of all your opponents..." Cameron's voice hung in the air as a thin smile touched his lips. "...but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. So the question remains, has your connection to the Force strengthened to the point of defending against a foe that uses not a blade?"

There were some that might wonder when Cameron was actually going to teach Zoey a bunch of mundane, myopic lightsaber forms. The answer was...never. The fact that the Jedi Order had yet to evolve beyond the paradigm of restricted, regulated lightsaber forms was their own business. Even an acolyte with minimal exposure could recognize when an opponent used a specific form and thus...could identify that opponent's weaknesses and exploit them. If you varied your methods, became a creature of improvisation and an extension of the Force, you were all the more deadly. That was the level of instruction Zoey was receiving.

"Attack." For now, the tip of Cameron's weapon remained pointed at the ice, making only light contact. Through the Force, he communicated to [member="Crystal"]. ~Attack her with your lightsaber once she initiates her attack against me. She will learn to expect the unexpected...if she has not already.~

Cameron drew his sword. Things were about to get interesting. She reached behind her to the small of her back where her lightsaber hilt rested. With it in hand, she waited. His voice came in her mind right on time. With what she expected to hear. Inwardly, she was smirking.

Outwardly, she was expressionless as the familiar snap hiss cut through the wind. Her magenta blade brightened the immediate area just a little. She stepped closer into Zoey's personal space as she brought her blade toward Zoey's mid-section.

As the Crimson Sithsword was drawn from the Sith master, I kept my eyes on him. as well as Crystal. Even as the man spoke, saying that I had fought many a men that could have killed me. However, the darker skinned man asked me a question of if I was prepared to fight against those who did not wield a blade. I had heard stories of people fighting entire wars with their minds and the force. not even using a sword or any kind of melee weapon, or ranged weapons such as a Blaster rifle. Still I didn't know if I should answer or not. However, I did with a simple nod of my head as I drew my beskad.

I knew that if someone were to attack with their mind against my own, I was to cut them off from touching me. Blocking them with images or even words that they would see, and limit how much the could get, before I could get into their mind. I knew HOW to but had not actually done it.

However, my mind came back to the present at the single word of fight. With a sudden blur with the aid of the force, I launched at the man, only to see the sudden flash of a lightsaber coming for my midsection. My body resorted to muscle memory forgetting about all the training that I had received. Sending the beskad down away from the man, and instead to block the lightsaber as I twisted my body to face the Blonde woman. it was sudden and unexpected, as such, The back side of my beskad was pushed up against my stomach and chest in the attempt of the block. Almost slipping past my grasp.

With a quick twist I smacked the saber away from my body and into the open as I send a light force push at the woman. Should I miss, it was a signal to back up. if I hit, well then she might be flung off of the iceberg that we were floating on, or even knocked back.

it looked to be, that I was not learning any normal combat form. No, this was about reaction to someone, and the ability to adapt to the situation.

((OOC: If you have anything other than your lightsaber, clothing, and echani dueling shield, can you make mention of it prior to a combat situation please :p))

Cameron's silver-green gaze never left Zoey as she immediately rushed into action. The Sith Lord was impressed by her speed and lack of hesitation. Hesitation, quite simply, killed. Just as Cameron was about to unleash a brutal force attack upon Zoey's mind, he watched her withdraw her freaking Beskad which had, apparently, been concealed from view. For the briefest of moments, Cameron paused. The Beskad was, of course, an excellent weapon - especially if one was adept at getting inside the guard of their oppponent. The short nature and lightsaber resistant nature of the weapon made it rather ideal for going up against those wielding lightsabers.

However.

If Zoey never learned how to effectively wield a lightsaber, she would be tragically undermatched in any instance where it might prove...useful. Further more, the greater affinity she had with a lightsaber, the more adept she would be at defeating any foe wielding one regardless of her own weapon. In short, Cameron was pissed, and he did not enjoy having his time wasted by people that could not get over a crutch.

As the Sith Lord's silver-green eyes burned with anger, Cameron raised the hilt of his weapon such that it was level with his face. In one fluid move, he dropped to a knee and brought the tip of the crimson blade crashing down into the ice. A brutal rush of dark side energy erupted from the core of his being as tendrils of purple-white lightning radiated down his arm and into the ice and water surrounding them. A blinding storm of raw power descended upon the three dark siders with an intensity that could only be manifested through emotion bordering on losing control.

Leaving his weapon planted into the now-splitting ice, Cameron came to his feet and approached [member="Zoey Marix"] and [member="Crystal"] as the force lightning storm began to dissipate. Unnaturally strong winds continued to rip through the area, causing a definitive chill to seep into Cameron's very bones. "Give me..." Stopping just in front of the two, Cameron held out his right hand. Despite his anger, his face remained a mask. It was the continuous swelling of his dark presence within the Force that gave indication to his less-than-pleased demeanor. "...the Beskad. Now."

Crystal's swing at Zoey's midsection was blocked by the beskad. She narrowed her eyes. And, Zoey used the Force to try and push her away. Considering that the wind was as rough as it was, the push hardly phased her. She did however take a step back.

She could feel anger radiating from Cameron, and so Crystal braced herself for what was to come and shielded herself. The lightning storm was brief, and not aimed where she thought it might be. Her ex husband approached, and wanted the beskad. She wasn't surprised. It's not like they were out here to test her abilities with the beskad.

She stood ready.

And hell was unleashed.

The priest had become very angry that I had drew my beskad. Well, I could give him the credit, this was for me to train with a lightsaber. But my natural instinct is to draw the beskad. I completely forgot about the lightsaber hilt on my belt. Despite it being a simple training lightsaber. With ease I flipped the beskad around for my hand to grip the hefty blade. And without saying a word. I handed it to the man as he was clearly angry.

A slight smirk was on my face and I had done that to the man. I was so close to rolling my eyes. SO close. But I did not for the fear that I may have to fight him on this small piece of floating ice. I then drew the lightsaber hilt. looking directly at the man, then back to crystal. Not saying a word.

Cameron accepted the weapon from [member="Zoey Marix"] before launching it into a high arc with all of his considerable strength. The Sith Lord's silver-green gaze never left the two as the Beskad sailed through the haze back towards the glacier they had originated from. Was Cameron positive it would reach the location? No, but he also didn't care. "You've heard of the various lightsaber combat forms." It wasn't a question, merely a statement. "Useful when teaching someone that has not fighting instinct or experience, but their usefulness ends there."

Motioning to [member="Crystal"], Cameron returned to his original position. "Now. Try again - remember your strength, speed, and finesse will only reach it's true potential when you stop fighting against the natural current of the Force. Become a conduit, allow it to work through you. Otherwise..." Cameron's statement ended there. He'd had more than one apprentice perish in training because they couldn't quite cut it.

Things were rough all over.

Crystal subtly bit her lip as she watched [member="Cameron Centurion"] hurl the beskad, probably into the sea. No matter. If Zoey continued at the previous pace, then it was likely she'd end up following her beskad. This she had no doubt of. After all, Cameron had killed his heir when he was just a teenager. For being a spoiled, defiant little runt. It wasn't the first and it wasn't the last time it had happened, of that she was sure. The verbal part of the lesson commenced, and she moved into position to begin again.

She watched [member="Zoey Marix"] waiting for her to begin her attack once again.
