Public Chillin on New Cov, Temple Edition

I9QwGMv.png

Jonyna needed a break after everything that had happened to her over the past month. Between returning to Cathar, taking on her first mission as a jedi, moving in on Coruscant, and rediscovering her old base, and finally building a new set of sabers along with her new sword, she needed a chance to just...take a breath. Valery Noble Valery Noble had mentioned that the planet she had been sent to on her mission to help Liin had a temple, one that was open for her use. New Cov was much more her speed, jungle terrian, the feeling of the force flowing through nature unimpeded by the concrete maze that had overtaken Coruscant long before she was alive. She needed to commune with somewhere that was much closer to home...

Jonyna wandered around the temple at first, only to find a set of open waterfalls that seemed to flow into the floor. This. This was exactly what she wanted...

She took a seat at the edge of the pool that seemed to form, pulling out her primary saber and setting it down in front of her. It'd been a while since she'd really gotten a chance to commune with her grandmother, and...

She paused as she felt the flow of the Force through the crystal within her blade...

Mom...

A small tear fell from the Cathar's face. She was never alone, not really.

An Arquiten Exited Hyperspace over the planet of New Cov. Dorian was seeking relics and temples that were attuned to the force, this was a hobby of his to gain both power and knowledge in all aspects of the force, both Dark and Light.

A small shuttle would take him and a small escort to the surface of the planet

"Sir a bit of a walk will be required as no suitable LZ can be found near the Temple" His Custom Droid told him
"No matter, I can handle a walk" He seemed unconcerned about the information.

After a short landing into a clear area, All of his escort were told to stay with the ship Minus the droid Which would always stay with him. The Jungle would of course hinder the movement Of Dorian's Advance to the temple, to his goal.

It was around a full hour of walking before he would come to the massive temple. A set of Waterfalls could be seen where he was, and a cathar Women as well. He Emanated a darker presence, But was not a sith despite this darkness. He droids Heavy footsteps would likely alert the women to the presence of the two. His Double-Bladed Lightsaber would be at his hip, and he was well dressed and groomed. He was never the first to speak. If she was alerted to the two the Droid would Stand slightly in front and to the right side of Dorian. He would never want to fight, and if could be avoided he would simply wish to get on with his self appointed task.

Valves Miskor

Bastard, Scoundrel, Self Proclaimed Entrepreneur.
Valves got paid good money to poach exotic life forms and harvest some unique biomolecules from New Cov. So here he found himself sitting in a tree, leaning against the trunk, bored out of his mind. He was supposed to meet some scientist by the Jedi Temple, but they never showed up.

Valves was a lot of things, a drifter, a vagrant, a borderline alcoholic, but he didn't know how to harvest Biomolecules. This was classic Valves Miskor though. Talking his way into a job he was under qualified for, and know having to learn on the fly.
No matter, Valves was a good problem solver inspire his many shortcomings.

So here he sat. He had seem a Cathar woman walk past before, but her appearance didn't really scream biomolecule harvesting scientist, so he paid her no mind. Gazing away from her so as not to interrupt what was clearly a personal moment.
As he did, he saw another pair approaching. A well dressed man with a sabre and a droid. Neither of which looked like Biomolecule scientists. Something about the man just rubbed Valves the wrong way. He wasn't sure why, but this guy gave him a bad feeling. He had dealt with Sith before, and on an instinctual level recognised the darkness. It !ad him nervous. Especially because he was so close to the Jedi Temple, the darkness was starkly contrasted against it.

To say it was a bad time was an understatement for the Cathar. Communing with her mother was one thing, but this was meant to be her time to rest. But the presence approaching the temple was unmistakable. That was the feeling of someone who wanted something, and wasn't going to take no for an answer. Light and Dark regardless, it made her feel uneasy. And anyone approaching the temple with that feeling made her skin crawl.

But for now, she'd keep herself calm. Mother would want that, after all. The jedi were friendly, and she could be to. Mind you, that didn't stop her from putting out a tentative call to Valery Noble Valery Noble just in case. This was her temple, and she didn't want to leave a bad impression by accidently wrecking all her stuff in any scuffle that might happen. Was Jonyna being paranoid? Probably a little, but hey, that was an Imp ship floating above her head now. She'd recognize that anywhere. So she'd prefer to call it being prepared...

As the pair approached, the cathar slowly adjusted her stride, using her new coat to hide her saber hilt, only showing her twin katanas that hung off her right side as she approached.

"...can I help you?"
She asked Damion Dorian Tarkin Damion Dorian Tarkin as he approached with his droid. It only made her miss Sevs and Hep.

Dorian Looked around the temple as if he could sense another presence, but the contrast of light would cloud him slightly meaning The other in the trees could catch him by surprise if a fight were to break out.

"My name Is Dorian and I have come to this temple seeking relics of the force for study, My home planet wants to regain some of its lost potential" He was straight to the point and his words were...Oddly sweet upon the ears of those that would hear them "I do not wish to fight, In fact I do this I can do with some Aid, I have only begun my journeys after all, Will you kindly help me?" It was unlikely that he was sith due solely on the reason he was kindly asking for help

He did not want a fight to break out as it could risk his beloved droid or himself. His droid stood tall where it was not moving until the potential threat was gone.

“That’s…not my call to make.” Jonyna pouted slightly, her own irritation showing at being disrupted in a tender moment, her grip still on the hilt of her katana. “You’ll have to talk to Master Noble about that. Where’d you get an Imperial Cruiser, by the by?”

Damion Dorian Tarkin Damion Dorian Tarkin

"I am sorry then, but unless this Master in inside the temple I have little time, I will be heading inside now". He would then start to move towards the doors, the door walking to his side, keeping it's sensors on the Cathar women with her hand still on the blade. Dorian was told that there was something her he needed, and he would be dammed if he was stopped in his tracks

It was true that he did not want to fight in the slightest, but Upon being asked the question of where he got his ship he would respond "You are not entitled to what my planets' navy buys or makes, but I am not Imperial I can assure you" He was calm, and walked with a noble stride, his hands clasped behind his back

Jonyna only stepped in his way as he tried to pass her, a pout turning into a frown as she spoke. "I already put out a call for Master Noble to meet you when I saw your ship enter orbit. I'm not going to let you loot her temple on my watch. So either you wait for her to arrive, or I stop you here..."

The Cathar's tail slipped into her coat, prepping for a fight. Her warning was set, and she didn't want to have to fight today, but it seems a fight came to her. She never was gonna catch a break, was she?

"I promise not to loot or deprive your temple, I only wish to take one artifact for study" She kept steeping in his way and his droid would considered entering a combat stance "I do warn you...My droid is far more capable then most jedi nowadays, I would consider your next moves, extremely carefully"

This was both a warning and a threat. Upon this warning that he would give her the droid would pull a small saber hilt from a small compartment in its leg armor, and extend it into a Saber pike, Igniting it only in the defense of its master. The blade was yellow.

He did not want to deal with the jedi on this task, He was scared they might attack him of sight due to where he came from, or the dark presence that he had. He also wanted to get back to his planet as the light side energy of the temple was starting to sour his mood

She held her stance, ready to strike at any moment as her tail gripped the hilt of Claire, ready to ignite her at any moment.

"And I'm telling you, you either ask nicely to the person who owns all this, or if you have somewhere to be so bad, you can arrange a time to meet her. Just because you're in a rush doesn't pardon thievery. I don't care who you are, I'm not letting you take anything from this temple without speaking with the head of it's household. You can come back another time, I'm not budging..."

Dorian Took a deep breath, Sending his droid to fight a jedi would not look good in their eyes, especially if he killed one and possibly looted the temple. She would call his bluff. "Very well I will deal with your master, Cole stand down" Upon his words the droid would de-ignite the saber pike and store it back where it was.

"But I do not have all day, and I do not like my time wasted" He was smart enough to try and de escalate the area, looking for the bigger picture, As much as he loved a good fight, now would not be the time to make any move on the jedi, least not one that would see him as the bad guy "Where shall I wait?" He asked kindly

Jonyna kept her guard up, her tail still wrapped around the hilt of Claire hidden within her jacket. She did at least loosen her grip on her katana. "...the garden is pretty, I guess. We can wait there for Valery Noble Valery Noble "

The Cathar kept a distance from the two, not one to trust someone who just had a droid point a pike at her. "So why are you in such a hurry anyways?"

The Padawan had been on the planet to try and practice his Force Barrier on the dummies. Whilst he might have been able to do it on Coruscant, Shan had wanted to practice somewhere he felt comfortable, and considering this was where he had been taught the ability in the first place, he thought this would have been the perfect place to practice.

Though as he was practicing with various shots towards the dummy, hissing every so often that his barrier felt, the young Mirialan stopped. Something felt off in the air and he wasn't sure how to word it as he felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up. Whilst normally he'd have just focused on his training, Shan decided to head off towards where he felt like something was going on. There was a strange oppressive feeling that Shan couldn't quite put his finger on, since he hadn't come in contact with the dark side before...

That wasn't going to stop him from trying to stand by Jonyna's side, or at least near it. She was at least slightly familiar as a Jedi Knight to him, so she was the only person out of the current situation he trusted as the Mirialan was trying to take everything in

"I have Political Duty's to my own planet, I grab and study the force and artifacts in my spare time, but I like to make my time quick" He responded to the Cathar's question in kind with his version of the answers. Of course he would not revel everything about him as he was too smart to do that.

"Damion Dorian...Political Envoy and Heir to the Great planet of Zakuul" He Spoke nobly as he introduced himself more properly. He even did a slight bow to the Cathar to show some semblance of respect

"I have Political Duty's to my own planet, I grab and study the force and artifacts in my spare time, but I like to make my time quick"

"You won't be grabbing anything here."

Such a racket. He had come to study and clear his mind, yet here some random individual was demanding artifacts. In the house of his friend no less. New Cov was a special place to Valery. It wouldn't be bothered, not by this stranger.

"Thank you for being civil," Jasper stated, directed at the Cathar, before turning back to the strange man. "Waltzing into someone else's home and demanding things of them is rather uncivilized for a politician. To that end I see no reason why we should humor you."

He hated to have to be the strong voice around here, but Jasper was a leader now. A member of the Council. This matter was his responsibility while Master Noble was away, and he intended to see that nobody at the temple was injured in the slightest.

"Jasper Kai'el, Sentinel of Harmony," he continued, "I sit on the Council. From this point forward, you deal with me. I suggest you make a good case for your poor behavior."

Jonyna took a moment to look to Shan Pavond Shan Pavond that had rushed to her side, smiling softly at him before she looked back to Damion Dorian Tarkin Damion Dorian Tarkin "So you're....a prince? Or something along those lines?" As Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el approached, Jonyna felt much more at ease, though her maternal instinct to protect the padawan that had taken her side held. "Of course Jasper. I was only communing with my mother's spirt when he showed up." A little bit of indignance shined through her voice as the senior knight took over for her.

"Waltzing into someone else's home and demanding things of them is rather uncivilized for a politician.
"This ruin is Someone's home. much less that of a jedi, My master must be right the Jedi are insane" A small chuckle could be heard from him "Less politician then those senators I would admit, but no less important, I am still learning, but you must respect the ambitious People of Zakuul, We are not used to being told NO" His hands kept clasped behind his back, as he spoke back calm and collected, not worried about the number of Jedi not quickly surrounding the area

"No other ruined Temple from long ago did not have this much trouble attached to them"

His oddly friendly words would send chills down the backs and minds of lesser beings

Shan wasn't exactly sure how to take any of this, keeping himself at least slightly stood in the background, and letting the two Knights be in front of him. He didn't want to risk being in the way in case things didn't happen to go down as the Padawan was trying to figure out why exactly someone was trying to steal from the Temple. It didn't even appear to be ruined to him and had always seemed better to him than the Coruscant one...Though that may have been more of his own personal opinion right now.

Either way, he just focused on his own breathing to keep himself steady and calm. There was no point in letting himself get scared since Shan had full faith in both Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el and Jonyna Si Jonyna Si . Instead, it was better for him to keep an eye on his surroundings, in case he needed to protect himself.

"I don't see a 'we' here," Jasper shrugged, "And you'd best get used to no. If you expect to throw around the bluster of an empire that collapsed eons ago, you're no man of wisdom. Zakuul is a planet, no more significant than any other."

Jasper wasn't worried. He had fought Imperial troopers far more intimidating, and he was a well seasoned combatant at this point. What he was worried about was the 'ruins,' as the stranger seemed to call them. They were still in use, and of sentimental value to many in the Order. The least he could do is see them protected.

And just in case, the Dawnbreaker would be prepared to provide backup.

"You won't be causing my people any more problems," the man stated. "Depart this place, save your people the trouble of their 'representative' winding up before a Galactic Alliance court. Whatever it is you think you'll learn here, I can assure you it isn't worth it."

Jasper turned for a moment, facing Shan specifically.

"Padawan, I suggest you depart now," Jasper said in a calm voice, giving a reassuring smile. "I'd rather there be no injuries if our guest chooses to be childish."

With that, his attention was back onDamion.

Jonyna once again gripped her katana lightly, ready for something to finally go down, taking a step between Damion and Shan, ready to take any damage the stranger might do to the padawan. Her tail loosed Claire from her back, keeping it hidden behind her oversized coat that she was ready to drop at a moment's notice.

Jasper had made a declaration, and she was ready to back him up no matter what happened...
