[Kimiko Taiyou]

Curious eyes poured over the holodisplay as multiple indicators showed different locations across the outer rim. A lot of these locations, planets specifically, she had visited personally, mostly due to military actions. Ki sighed, today's briefing had thoroughly exhausted her. Movements from other organizations. The "hunt" for the now renegade Emerald Squadron. Her own forces on regular patrols. Most of the time she sat at the display and listened to the others drone on, a lot of time missing any questions directed at her.

She was curious when a locator caught her eye, transmitting from a planet she had not been involved in, Barkhesh. Her recent companion, the young Mirialan, @Vouvy, was showing as on the planet. She quickly brought up a briefing of the planet and a short history. Not the most hospitable of locations. Ki let loose a soft chuckle, he probably had a good reason for it, but she allowed herself to daydream of fanciful survival training or resource gathering.

With a push of a key, she initiated a call. just wanting to see how her new friend was doing.

Harvest season.

For most farmers, this was the busiest time of the year - but not for Vouvry's parents. They focused much more on selling the crop than actually tending to it themselves. Still, when Vouvry had showed interest in how it was all done, they were happy to let him follow one of their more seasoned employees and learn the ropes by actually doing it in practice. While Barkhesh was very different from Telos, agriculture didn't change that much and when he had offered to help as a farmhand, the elderly couple had been quick to accept. It was a win-win situation as he could earn some extra credits and the owners of the farm could spare their backs from another season of hard work.

Still young and quite literally full of energy, Vouvry didn't stop after toiling in the fields for a day. Soon after, he continued training, honing his body and sharpening his mind - at least that was how he liked to think of it. While the description was rather accurate, he also spent some time in the stables, relaxing with the family's Nerfs and the wounded Kath pup they had taken in.

Having just recently ended the day's work, the young Mirialan found himself covered in sweat when the familiar wound of his comm went off. Breaking from his workout prematurely, he sat back up from the bench and pulled up his bag from the ground. Putting it next to him on the bench, Vouvry dug around for both one and two seconds before finally finding the device. He responded before even checking who the caller was, seeing as he had already let them wait for longer than he was comfortable with.

Surprise could be seen on his face as he saw the figure on the other end. "Hi!" he blurted out in a voice filled with genuine happiness and surprise. "Empress Kimiko" he said with a smile forming on his lips as he bowed his head slightly in respect. Holding the comm with his right hand, the green alien brought a towel to wipe away sweat from his forehead and face "What brings you-... eh" he begun before noticing the blunder he was about to make - of course, nothing was actually 'bringing her here' since she was obviously not there with him. Shaking his head, Vouvry tried again, this time with more composure "What can I do for you?"

A loud snorting noise could be heard in the background, causing him to look away. Chuckling, Vouvry stood up and walked a few steps, gently petting a Nerf who was too far away for the comm holoprojector to pick up. "Not now" he said before picking up some fodder and handing it to it. Walking away out onto the field, his attention soon returned to her again, curious about what she had on her mind.

She chuckled before blushing after realizing what he had been attending to prior to her interruption. She admired the attention he gave to his physical training, though still stubborn and not wanting to break out into utilizing his Force abilities again,"I apologize if I interrupted Vouv."

Ki had taken to doting on the young Mirialan, her motherly instincts kicking in after their first interaction. Her interest in him piqued upon discovering his Force sensitivity and what sort of past he had been suppressing.

"I was just curious as to what you could possibly doing on a planet like Barkhesh. It seems rather out of the way, especially given your recent exploits further north in the Galaxy." she shot him an accusatory/motherly look along with a playful laugh.

"No, no" he said, smiling whilst waving away her apology with his free hand "I am glad you called" he admitted before taking a deep breath to stop the heavier breathing from continuing. Slowly, the young Mirialan walked down the field he had been working on about an hour ago, getting further and further away from the stables where he had been working out.

It would soon become abundantly obvious that he was capable of recovering from the rather heavy workout very quickly as his posture and demeanour returned to the normal state which he was usually in. His old master - who's passing was one of the more prominent reasons for why the young Mirialan had left the Sith Empire in the first place - had trained him well and helped him enjoy the process. It allowed him to let go of worldly problems for a while, making it a good distraction from pondering over more serious topics, or worse; remembering things from his past.

The young Mirialan's lips curled inwards, making his mouth form a thin line as she noted that he had been up in the North. Letting out a short and slight chuckle, he shrugged innocently "It is calmer here and I heard that their farming season had begun, so I thought I could find some work" he said, speaking of his job with fondness. Knowing that she had discretely pushed on the topic of what he might have been doing up north, Vouvry quickly continued "Oh, right!" and started jogging.

Making his way back to the stables, he dug around in the bag at the bench until he finally produced a bottle from which he drank. Displaying a remarkable capacity to hold the comms unit steady whilst running, the young Mirialan made sure that the photo receptors wouldn't shake too much to avoid messing with the holoimage. Upon being back out in the field, he sighed before admitting "I was on Abridon to deliver a shipment" he said, before raising his arm as his eyebrows shot up "Fully legal! It was just some message and a few gift baskets" he said, hoping that she wouldn't think of him as a criminal this early on. Continuing, he mentioned a few more details "But I got trapped when some Sith whackos attacked the government" Trying to maintain his innocence, he shrugged a little whilst mumbling "And you know... we had to, uh, you know..." he said, becoming less and less intelligible until he trailed off completely.

Seeing as they were on a less formal note, a playful glint could be seen in his eyes as he scrambled to shift the topic "Hold on!" he said before pointing at her projected image "How do you know where I've been anyways?" he said, playfully accusatory, letting it show that he was still, after all, still a teenager. As it happened, one who was trying to escape further scrutiny.

She giggled at the self defense of his actions, not upset in the slightest, but happy he came out unscathed, more or less. He was still finding his way and she was proud of him so to say for joining them in their corner of the Galaxy. It just gave her another target for affection. She did make a mental not however, of the Sith group he mentioned, planning on running by her intelligence agency.

"Oh no worries! I am just happy to hear your trip was successful for you and your friends." an all-knowing glint shined in her eyes, but quickly disappeared when she began to feign innocence herself,"I have my ways of just knowing. Call it, a mother's instinct." a wink to add dramatic effect.

Her secrets would never be revealed.

She calmed, looking at her chronometer,"I do have some time until my next arranged meeting. Walk with me for a bit? I need some sun and fresh air." she transferred the holocall to her handheld, and moved to exit the briefing room she had begun in and made her way towards a courtyard.

Letting out a sigh in relief, Vouvry felt content in the knowledge that she showed some sort of approval of what he had done. While they had not known each other for long, he did care for her thoughts and opinions as he viewed her as a wise and caring person.

The young Mirialan's eyebrows furrowed as he threw a playful glance at her. How she could keep track of him was beyond his understanding but calling it a mother's instinct was not something he would believe at first mention. "Right" he replied sarcastically whilst flashing a smile and shaking his head. Stopping his slow walk across the field, Vouvry stomped a foot in the soft dirty ground, producing a suppressed and low thud "Come on, tell me" he continued, maintaining a lighthearted demeanour as he continued pressing whilst hoping to learn something new.

Her secrets would never be revealed - Vouvry wouldn't keep pushing forever and the conversation shifted. Chuckling, Vouvry gave her a nod "Sure!" he replied, figuring that he was already - or almost walking - anyways. With that, he started taking slow yet long strides, synchronising his pace with hers. The differences between them were stark, not to mention the environments they found themselves in. Her being in a Sakuran palace whilst he was out in the fields after a days worth of physical labour.

In all honesty, Vouvry had no idea what she wanted or why she had taken an interest in him. And with that, he simply went back to his previous question - this time with a hint of concern as she had refrained from giving a direct answer a few minutes ago and had now started moving in a more secluded area "Can I do something for you? I can be discrete and all" he said, hoping that she was not in trouble.

She let an amused giggle slip as her path continued through the darker halls of the military installation on the palace grounds. As she added more distance, the environment lightened, bright walls and other colors brightened not only the aesthetic but her mood. She had been stuck in meeting after meeting in the more subterranean areas. Sayimg she needed a break would be an understatement.

She grinned at his offer to take up some job or odd end,"No, nothing currently of that nature. Though, next time you find yourself near the system, I have been attempting to hunt down a group of raiders who have taken several of my people captive, and vanished with no trace."

Though serious, the situation was out of our hands and her people were currently on the case.

Her path finally brought her to the main courtyard of the palace, the grand concourse was the first thing many saw as they visited the grounds. The sun was shining and the blossoms of the sakura trees were in full bloom. It was a beautiful day out.

She found a comfortable place beneath one of the trees, placing her handheld on the ground before sitting against the stump,"So what sort of work took you to the planet?" she asked lightheartedly, noticing her current guard cadre stationing nearby with disdain.

The air was fresh, the soft breeze helped him cool down after the workout and the sun was just starting to set, still having a few more hours left before disappearing behind the horizon. Glad to be talking to the person who had saved him on Terminus, a soft smile was almost fixed on the Mirialan's lips as they spoke. Eyeing her curiously, the young Spacer was glad to hear that she didn't have anything of pressing concern as he slowly strolled down the field, letting his free hand brush through the tall straws that were yet to be reaped. Slowing down to a halt, his green visage formed a serious frown with brows pressing up together and tight jaws. Nodding as soon as she finished, he spoke "I'll come" He cut himself off and looked up toward the farmhouse where the elderly couple he worked for lived "I'll come as soon as I'm done here"

They walked for a few more moments until she came to a halt, taking a seat and bringing the bench into the view of his comms' holoprojector. A playful glint flashed by his eyes as she asked what work he had taken up. With a few more steps, Vouvry soon found a good spot to sit down at. Seated promptly on the ground between two lines of wheat, the long straws could be seen blowing in and out of what the photoreceptor could record, giving anyone a pretty good idea of what environment he was in "I'm a hedge fund manager" he joked, spitting out the most unlikely idea he could think of. Still glad, he assumed a somewhat more serious tone which was still marked by a sense of lightheartedness "I took up a job as a farmhand for this sweet old human couple" he said, producing a fond smile as he mentioned them. Bringing up a finger to his mouth he whispered "But don't let her hear that. She wouldn't like the 'old' part" Almost mischievously, he sent the question back to her "What about you then? I think I'll be done in a week or so over here. You finishing up anytime toon?"
