Chasing the path

More and more as the dark side was encroaching on the galaxy were the Jedi needed. In all of their orders. What was needed were people to safeguard the Light Side, and its tenants, lest the Sith, and other dark side orders move to wipe them from the galaxy. Following clues was one thing that had to be done, as there were so many orders that have been shattered by the dark side. And that was just what the team was doing. In the main chamber of the Champion-class Light Corvette known as the Vanguard, Coren Starchaser was focusing on his words.

He was finishing up another entry into the holocron in front of him. It was a mixture of Starchaser history and Sentinel history. He was knowing it was going to be useful to someone, at some time, in the Jedi Academy Network. He knew that more Sentinels would arise, and keeping the teachings of another space faring family would hopefully teach others who find themselves between the stars.

Looking up, though, Coren stepped to the map. There was a list of items that he was hunting down. Holocrons, and other items of lore for the light side. Things that should be kept safe, and hidden from the dark siders. The map was putting the ship on a course for the legendary world of the Eclipse Station. He wasn’t sure what he would find there, but word was that it was a good start of getting his team to the get on the path of some relics, and to see where their next step was to be.

"We've done a lot of crazy things," Veino said as he strode into the main area. "But this? Might be one of the craziest." He gave a small smile. "Chasing after ancient treasures. It's fun."

He rested his elbows on the holoprojector, watching the map as the ship began to change course. Eclipse and Eclipse Station, an ancient refuge of the Jedi from the first Vong War, and also one for the Jensaarai. They had been part of Skywalker's Order for some time, before the galaxy seemed to be crushed beneath risen threats. Who knew what they would find there?

Old records, dusty clothes, barely expired foodstuffs. The usual things that people found in abandoned places. But perhaps they would find something more. Only the Force could tell.

In a burst of rather anti-climactic nothing, a long and sleek ship popped into being. There would be little to detect the micro-jump, and Coren would recognize the odd ripples in the Force, the touch of the Aing-Tii techniques, and the lines of the ship would be even more so recognizable from one who had studied in the Rift. ODd, electronic music could be heard over the comms, and sudden cursing. An open channel had been established to Coren upon reversion to real space. Suddenly rustling, clanging and creaking could be heard. Oddly enough like someone flopping into a leather backed command chair on board a ship. The voice that came across the channel was bright, but slightly grumbly, as if sick maybe.

"Hey, fly-boy... Heard you had some leads... Shall we go treasure hunting? This is Sedaire, by the way."

Coren couldn’t help but grin. He was an explorer by calling. The fact that he took to smuggling was just a result of that. The pilot was ready for nearly anything, and a ship full of Force users with a call to others out there, he knew things were going to go pretty well. He looked at the Jensaarai comrade of his. How long had they known each other? A long time.

“The Eclipse Station is one that had covered the Jedi during the Vong wars. Your tradition was there too. Its nice to see things coming around again. Skywalker’s Jedi Order to this one, working with groups on the fringes.” Coren smiled. “Not sure what we’ll find here, but it’s a start.”

Better than going to Tython. Frak that place.

Looking up as Porter had tweeted the arrival of another ship, Coren checked the incoming transmission. “Good to see you, Sedaire. Yeah, got a list from a mutual friend of ours. Some places for the Jedi to hit up. I guess he’s wanting me to fall into the Jedi mindset. Calm him down from the war at hand. “You have the star charts to get to Eclipse?” Asteroids.

Maybe Merrill was right

Shuffling sounds on the still open comm. He could fly, but the finer points of being a pilot were lost on him. Like how to mute comms while you took a sip of caff, and rifled through chart listings. Most pilots didn't even need to scrawl them out by hand, but he did. Was easier to think. His rumpled shirt, un-tied boots, and compression shorts from sleeping were not going to win any competitions either, if that visual ever came across. Thankfully it wouldn't, as the visual bit was a toggle switch. Which he had put tape over before he left. Reorganizing Corellia, again, was going to be a bear.

"Eclipse... Eclipse... Corran's horn where is that damn.. Oh, here... Yeah. Mine are a bit outdated... But fresh enough. Should get us there. We taking your boat or mine? If you have a friend sending you a list, I can guess who it is, and i'll make sure to bring my full gear.'

From aboard the Vanguard Savannah was working with her Master. Well, sort of. He was off doing the pilot thing and had left her with a half finished holocron and her toolkit. That meant it was tinker time. Coren was trying to make it so she understood the fine art of… she didn’t know. Tech specialist? She knew he was a shipwright but she wasn’t about that. Small things? She could play with. And pulling the Force while she did? Yeah, she was going to get a bit more power out of this blaster, that was for certain.

The Jal Shey knew how to do a few things. And this, it was something else. Something she had pulled from her book. A bit of the Force here, to place something and concentrate… She was using the tools and almost feeling like she wasn’t knowing why she was doing what she was. But she knew. It was the Force.

Wasn’t like she was making some compass to find all the Jedi temples. But it would definitely cause a bit more of a high powered shot. That was good to have. In case, y’know, something showed up. Still, she’d make her way over to her teacher and his conversation soon.
She wanted to finish this.

So Julius was here too. That was always good. He was a good man and went way back with Veino. Farther almost than he could almost remember. So the old guard was getting back together for this mission, which he appreciated. Plus Coren's new apprentice was here as well, so it wasn't entirely old folks.

"Yeah," Veino mused, staring out to the starfield ahead of them. "We don't have any records of what we might have left behind in the station. All got lost during the plague." He turned behind him as he heard footsteps on the deck. Sav was coming up to join them, from the looks of it. Veino gave her a nod.

"Any sense of threat from the station?"

He wasn't sensing anything, but it was always good to get word from others, and a chance for Sav to get some practice training in.

Coren Starchaser was the type who was really good at getting a group of people together. And for artifacts such as this? It was easy. But he was also bringing as many Jedi out to a historic site as possible. From the apprentice he was bringing along to the Jensaarai representative, Starchaser knew a lot of people and had sent out calls to a whole lot more. Silvers, Remnant you name it, there was Jedi artifacts out there and they needed to get them before the Sith or First Order did. Was just smart business.

“We can take the Vanguard in. I’ve already set the navcomp with a few locations, Eclipse and a few others.” He nodded. Looking around, Coren grinned. This was going to be some trip, showing his apprentice how the Masters did it, would be smart.

But then he looked at Veino. “Nah, not me. But maybe Julius might, he’s always been better at that than me.” Coren knew here his limits were
