It has nothing to do with posts. Some people have more experience with this server, others are still learning it. You eventually get the hang of it, even if you have way less posts than someone else. Some people love the spam so yes, don't let that little number fool you, lol.

People can freely see what other characters folk have merely by clicking the characters tab in their profile. It's all very open.
