Public Character of the Month - September 2026

I waited to see if anyone was going to take this over from WelshPsych but alas, it looks to me upon me to take up the mantle.

Looking at the old COTM, I decided to put my own spin on this. Nominations will look different. Once a character is nominated they cannot be nominated again for that month. So if Darth Gulpo nominates Sally Sandstorm, that's it. Nothing more needed as Sally Sandstorm is locked in for voting. The idea is to prevent the flooding of nominations for one person when its really not necessary as it is not the voting portion.

Now Dells, what if I want to ask a question?

Questions you may ask! Using the example above, Sally Sandstorm is already nominated and that might have been the only nomination you had wanted. Awesome. You can then instead merely submit a question only for the chosen winner to answer. Easy peasy.

Example :

Name of Character Being Nominated : Sally Sandstorm

Question : If you were a cheese, what cheese would you be and why?

Or if said character is already nominated :

Question Only : Who is the best ghost on Chaos and why is it Delila Castillon?

I like this. Mind if I use this idea next month? Maybe rotate them out even?

I think that's a better actual appreciation and examination of people's writing than "I like my friends" which COTM turned into.

Next month I shall start that. For this month since I've got the format up top I'll just stick to the "old way" before breaking out the best of in October.

Have had so much fun writing with this person and they have been instrumental in taking Lily on the emotional rollercoaster she's on. As a writer, this person has been a joy to plot with and has been incredibly easy going and willing to roll with what I throw their way and they need more love so here it is
