Sorry for the wait on this voting. The invasion posting and then my back deciding to spasm out means that I could not keep on top of this as I wanted to be. However, feeling a little better and wanted to get this voting out!

Good luck to our nominations! Here are the reasons they were nominated:

I nominate Sophelia Ardemark

Why: currently contending for poster of the month, with solid and realistic character development and impactful stories across a variety of threads.

I'd like to nominate R'ayne Asara for both the numerous threads they've participated in and the amazing worldbuilding they've been doing with the character! I'm really looking forward to your duel in A Spicy Situation.

I'd like to nominate Muad Dib for Character of the Month.

Over the last month, writing opposite Muad Dib has helped me develop what was essentially a brand-new character into someone far more fleshed out than I ever expected in such a short time. Between the two of us, I think we've practically written a novel at this point, and I don't think Rin would have developed into the character she is now without everything that has happened between her and Muad.

What I've particularly enjoyed is that the development hasn't come from one specific kind of thread. There has been adventure, danger, humor, quieter character moments, family, history, worldbuilding, and a relationship that neither character really expected when everything started. Muad has given Rin someone she can challenge and be challenged by, while also opening up opportunities to explore parts of her history, personality, family, and connection to Veradune that I hadn't really had the chance to develop before. Their interactions have made me stop and think about who Rin actually is rather than simply what she can do, and that has been incredibly fun to write.

Muad himself has also been fascinating to read throughout all of it. There is an enormous amount of history behind a character who has been written for so many years, but that history doesn't overwhelm what is happening in the present. You can see the weight of the life he's lived in the way he reacts to people and situations, while he can still be ridiculous, funny, frustrating, vulnerable, thoughtful, and surprisingly tender. Getting to slowly uncover those different sides of him through Rin has been one of my favorite parts of writing this past month.

The fact that we've managed to carry their story across several threads without it feeling like we're simply repeating the same interactions is probably the biggest compliment I can give. Every thread has added something new to both characters and their relationship, and somewhere along the way what started as two characters meeting turned into a story I have become genuinely invested in seeing unfold.

I would like to nominate Ronhar Tane .

Not only because he is an absolute blast to chat with, an all around positive guy with an aura like a brilliant golden retriever, but also because in the threads the character is active, he stuns with an equal amount of passion, depth and simplicity that offers an easy to read style and strong immersion. I have no idea how he is pulling so much content while also leading a faction, now even major, but he does and that deserves some well earned respect.

If it is warposting in threads like A Spicy Situation, some over the counter chit-chat, or some amazing worldbuilding he does and has done for Mahporeem - there are many more threads he has been in in the last months that have shown a great variety of his outstanding writing and commitment to Captain Ronhar Tane and how that character can interact with absolutely anyone in almost any environment and not lose any immersion. A well writing Imperial-junkyard-spacer-soldier that deserves more attention.
