These yachts are purchased primarily by royalty, nobility, political elite, and wealthy individuals throughout the system. Yachts produced by Chandra Independent Holdings are not equipped with any sort of defense systems, the ships are instead designed to be escorted by security personnel. The primary focus of the company is to produce attractive ships with luxurious interiors. Some of the largest ships produced by the company include ballrooms, dining halls, and several suites.

DESCRIPTION
Chandra Independent Holdings started as a manufacturer of atmospheric starfighters for the Republic under Deepra Chandra I. They were well known as one of the smaller shipyards to produce relatively generic and expendable fighters. However, as the warfaring Republic waned and gradually evolved under the changing hands of proceeding factions, the company began to focus its production efforts toward civilian vessels. By 858 ABY, the company had completely transformed into a manufacturer of luxury yachts with a focus on the ruling elite of the galaxy, operating primarily on private manufacturing requests from prominent monarchs and politicians, without prejudice to the source of said requests within the boundaries of the law.
In 860 ABY the company has limited its sale to the Galactic Alliance and non-enemies of that faction with a strict prohibition on sales to factions that oppose the interests of the republic. As such their de facto loyalty is widely considered to be to the Galactic Alliance.
RATIONALE
Chandra Independent Holdings was founded by Adhira Chandra's great great grandfather. Over the years it passed through the hands of several members of the Chandra family until it was inherited from her father by her eldest brother Wridesh Chandra. Upon her eldest brother's death the company was technically inherited by Adhira Chandra, however, due to her election as Senator of Balmorra the company is held in trust by her younger brother Samesh Chandra. In practice, Adhira has been instrumental in setting the pro-Alliance policy of the company while the day-to-day operation of the company falls to her younger siblings.
