SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Rancor-Rifle: The CC-S99 is designed for big-game hunting and will stop just about any soft-target you point it at short of a bull-rancor, and even then a close-range shot to the eye will probably do it.
  • Discreet Darter: The underslung dart rifle can deliver a variety of gas-propelled darts with decent range and velocity, not to mention with as little noise as possible.
  • Rugged and Ready: The CC-S99 is extremely easy to clean and maintain, not that you'll be needing to do that often since the rifle is designed to survive the roughest conditions.
WEAKNESSES
  • Sluggish Shooter: Both the slugthrower and dart rifle aspects of the CC-S99 are extremely slow to fire, the dart rifle in particular is single-shot and has to be manually reloaded every time.
  • Roaring Beast: While the dart rifle may be silent, the slugthrower sounds like a roaring krayt dragon and kicks like an angry nerf, a bipod, howdah, or Wookiee caddie is recommended.
  • Cumbersome: This is not a discreet or portable weapon, it is a massive beast of a gun requiring a heavy bipod or the strength of a wampa to wield effectively.
DESCRIPTION
Officially marketed by Captain's Choice as a two-in-one survival rifle, you'd be hard pressed to find anything that could survive a direct hit from this hefty slugthrower. The CC-S99 is a high-caliber, semi-automatic slug rifle with an undermounted gas-propelled dart launcher designed for bringing in all but the biggest of game, dead or alive. The rifle itself is a large and heavy beast, using its sturdy design and elongated barrel to reliably deliver catastrophic damage at long range, and is compatible with a wide range of slugs such as depleted baradium or deuterium. The underslung dart rifle is even more versatile, while it lacks the punch of the slugthrower it can deliver any number of specialized darts with decent range, speed, and silence. Of course, the trade off is that the slugthrower doesn't kick so much as fight back like an angry gundark when fired, and the dart gun's range is a fraction of its big, booming brother's. A recoil damping stock was integrated into the design, but that mostly just keeps the weapon from doing more damage to the shooter than the target. Although if you need to bring down a Blixus in one shot, there isn't much better on the market.
