SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Covalent (molecular) bonding is notable for its superior durability, tensile and shear strength, flexibility, and elasticity.
  • Covalent (molecular) bonding is highly resistant to dissolution or bond failure due to environmental issues, perspiration, or moisture, being particularly hydrophilic to allow it to be used on moistened or damp skin.
  • Covalent (molecular) bonding is not, however, permanent and will reverse over time through absorption, and is distinguished by its minimal toxicity and hypo-allergenic qualities, minimal inflammatory response during degradation, and colorless, odorless, and non-residual nature.
STRENGTHS:
  • Powerful adhesive is resistant to infection and medically safe to use, making a viable option for closing wounds, assisting wound care and recovery, and even bonding internal organs, cartilage, and muscular tissues to repair damage.
  • Absorbs and dissolves naturally in 20-24 standard hours, or sooner with deactivation by ultrasound waves.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Offers no protection against Force abilities, kinetic damage via projectiles, lightsabers or blaster-type weapons.
  • Offers only average to moderate protection against concussive damage, sonic, or EMP/Ion threats.
  • Extreme area damage or trauma can reopen wounds, requiring further reapplication and / or other techniques of care plans.
DESCRIPTION
Able to temporarily adhere items to skin, or else to bind soft tissues together, closing wounds, fending off infection, even prevent further injury through movement, etc. Dermi-Seal is a terrific advantage to combat medics, as it requires no application substances or equipment and will hold, baring serious trauma, for up to 24-hours before being safely absorbed and dissolved within the patient’s body. It can also be used to hold stints and ports in place without bandages, or hold other medical monitor gear to the victim’s skin securely. Ideal for keeping wounded soldiers and trauma victims alive until they can receive proper treatment, the Dermi-Seal can be dissolved when bombarded with ultrasonic waves, such as those produced by a hand-held unltrasound wand, to enable physicians and surgeons to treat a patient even before the natural dissolution process begins.
