A development on ORR’s Nova Cavalier Pulse Cannon, this limited production of a rotary cannon version with enhanced fire rate was requested by Chi Chuchi for a special project. Fit with eight barrels for heat dispersion and a much increased firing rate, the CB-8 was designed to be sunk into the centerline of a fighter Chi was developing without besmirching the elegant lines of the craft. In addition to the multiple barrels, the vardium was enhanced with ostrine to allow additional fire time, while the already robust firing chamber received additional upgrades. The cannon is powered by a pair of dedicated rylith power cells that charge from the ship’s reactor during downtime.
The charged pulse shots are further enhanced by using upgraded galvan circuitry reinforced for the extra power and wear, as well as augmenting the spin barrels and heavy-duty static pulse adaptors for even more armor penetration and damage. The harder Druetium, and cooling metals reduce the wear and help extend the life of the cannon, but it still requires an above average amount of maintenance. All of this gives the CB-8 Pulse a massive boost in power and fire rate, making it the equal of most fighter’s entire armament and capable of engaging capital ship defenses.
