Catch Up and Conquest [All Sith Open]

The mechanical gears inside Darth Hauntruss' mediation capsule wheezed and groaned as the dome ascended to reveal the Sith Lord in her central chair. Turning the chair she revealed her complete form to a Imperial officer who had come to disturb her. Dressed in the standard black high collar tunic the officer saluted his superior and proceeded to explain his intrusion.

"My Lady, the captain informs me that we are about to exit hyperspace and should be arriving at Coruscant shortly." he said.

Hauntruss, dressed in her own high collared black tunic with a set of dark Sith robes beneath a long sleeved cloak addressed the officer with a wave of her hand. The officer proceeded.

"There is also a message from the Imperial Headquarters." he began, "[member="Reverance"] has assembled the Sith Lords to discuss further operations against the Republic and the campaigns in the Outer Rim."

The officer, trying is hardest to suppress his anxiousness fidgeted with his words as he awaited the relief of being dismissed. Hauntruss had no further points to raise so she gave him the satisfaction. "Understood lieutenant. You are dismissed." she replied. The officer saluted once more and departed through the doors at the far end of her chamber.

Hauntruss once again changed position and came face to face with a monitor embed on her chamber wall outside of the meditation capsule. The feed was opened and the hazy materialization of her star destroyer's captain visage was activated.

"Captain Anderson." Hauntruss hissed, "Have my transport ready once we arrive in orbit. I shall be accompanied by attendants. Afterwards you may continue with your rendezvous with the rest of the Inquisition Fleet at Leviathan Service Station at Metellos. You will brief the other Captains on what we have discussed earlier."

Captain Anderson, a slender boney cheeked man in his late fifties bowed his head and responded with a Coruscant accent that betrayed his highborn status, "As you command My Lady."

The feed was cut and Hauntruss closed her eyes momentarily too draw upon the dark side, centring herself.

She had spent sometime after the conquests of the Core and the Inquisition campaigns against Jedi Core remnants to watch the galaxy. It had changed. Factions have come and gone, and allies have grown into new phases of power. Must interestingly her former Second-in-Command [member="Tmoxin Temi"], who had bloomed into a promising knight of the dark side. This was news indeed. Hauntruss smiled and opened her eyes. Bright sith gold orbs gazed into the walls of her mediation capsule.

"There is still work to be down." she hissed.

[Thinking for a catch-up we have a psuedo-dark council meeting. Just to have IC catch up and general RP for all Sith characters. I'd like to have Hiss Hiss return from her break from Inquisition campaigning to discuss new orders and operations. Also this just so I can meet the new Sith RPers who joined since my absence.]

The former officer clutched at his restricting throat while his feet made repeated failed attempts to find the floor from underneath him that was mere inches below his levitated body. The veins in his forehead began to strain and become more defined with every passing second, while his eyes stared into the eyes of his executioner; desperately pleading for mercy.
"Admiral Thoren," the Sith witch began holding his life in her hands via the Force. "You have been found guilty of treason against both the Dark Lord and the One Sith Empire. Your traitorous actions have led to countless deaths of the Dark Lord's children....and thus you have brought shame upon yourself, your rank, and your family. Your poor decision to aid the enemies of the Dark Lord has put you in line for a just and swift execution."
Anger and hatred that coursed through the Sith Lady's very existence began to filter into the Force, aiding to the destructive nature of the Force ability in which she held the traitor. Her black and red-flecked eyes began to shimmer and glow, while a cold smile slowly began to take shape on her Darkside corrupted face. With a small flick of her wrist, she sent the swelling emotions deeper into the Force, crushing the former Admiral's throat with a sickening snap. Her eyes closed at the moment of his death, while siphoning his life force and adding it to hers.
With distaste and disdain cascading into her mind for being in the presence of such a traitor, she violently threw the corpse to the side; watching the body smash and break upon the warship's cold, metal wall. Without speaking a word to the other officers gathered to bear witness to the execution, she strolled out of the prison section of the warship heading toward the bridge.
Moving through the corridors like a ghostly apparition whose sole purpose was to haunt these corridors, Darth Venefica found she was most pleased with how the trial went and the following execution that ensued. Normally, she would dictate such a judgment to be carried out by another officer or death squad, but in this case, she felt obliged to personally handle it herself.
"Lady Venefica," a computerized voice said through her wrist com link, "We will be coming out of hyperspace in ten minutes around the planet of Courscant."

Setzi Lunelle

Searching for Eleos's Altar
Setzi was not a Sith Lord and not even a Knight. She was an Acolyte, and a recently fallen Jedi which made her even more of a high flight risk from the One Sith. But her actions against the Rebel Terrorists and the Coruscanti Resistance group that was causing minor havoc across the ecumenopolis, had not gone unnoticed.

Her piloting skills caught the attention of her Squadron Leader, Arch, when she volunteered for CAP at the Galactic City garrison in Coruscant, the day the Rebels attacked, and she was asked to go on some test runs to be evaluated. For the most part, Setzi was self-taught, but being at the controls of complex machinery came naturally to her, having been raised on an Aduba-3 maze stalk farm.

The Sith Navy was rife with traitors and continuing investigations and executions which made leadership consistency a problem. She and Arch discussed the need for an elite squadron to combat this growing terrorist threat to Coruscant, which didn’t appear to be abating.

“Perhaps Warmaster Hauntruss will grant us an audience and as well as the material resources to begin building the ships and recruiting pilots. Our methods may be unorthodox so it’s better that we go outside of normal Navy protocol,” he said.

Setzi agreed, and selfishly, she was hoping a military contact could be secured to build new starfighters on Glee Anselm, which would bring jobs to the Nautolan population, but would also benefit both her and [member="Darth Pyrrhus"] in their bid to lock down a new type of export for the planet.

Before arriving Setzi, put a call out on a pilot frequency, looking for interested parties, any Force Users or even Non-Force Users interested in joining up an elite squadron.

First mission? Take out the Coruscanti Resistance.

But right this moment? Arrive in the secure meeting place where [member="Darth Hauntruss"] would hold court.

Vengeance sat in the temple meditating and trying to find a moment to himself between fighting, conquering, learning, and teaching. Time had become a valuable commodity recently and something he didn't have nearly enough of. It was a mix of fear, excitement, apprehension, and a myriad of other emotions rampaging through the force that broke Vengeance from his meditations.

Stepping out into one of the common rooms Vengeance stopped one of the Academy instructors to find out what was going on. The answer made him curious. A prominent Sith Lord who had been away some time had returned and even better all of the Lords of the Sith were meeting in the same place. Part of Vengeance knew that was the last place anyone wanting to be but the part he normally listened to told him the worst that could happen was a slow painful death. He shrugged knowing he had done more dumber things than crash a meeting of the most powerful people in the known galaxy. He stopped with a laugh realizing he in fact hadn't done anything dumber.

"Oh well time to set a new mile stone of stupidity."

Vengeance made his way towards the rumored meeting place of Sith Lords where he would quietly slip in the back and try not to get killed.

Vibrating echoes of the transport's engines cascaded down the deep reveenes between the towering strata of central Coruscant. The white metallic ship touched down on a tower top landing pad. A mechanical wheeze and spitting air vents accompanied the hatch ramp's deployment. Striding out of the transport Darth Hauntruss's black robes were animated into dancing life as the high winds of the upper levels embraced her entrance. Bordering her were her attendants, a pair of red robed women with cowls the concealed their faces. They each carried Sith blades hidden on their person.

Meeting the cohort was a Sith official, dressed in muted grey tunic she bowed and outstretched an arm guiding the Sith Lady to a lobby that had a elevator at the far end. "Your ladyship is early to proceedings." the official attempted at some pleasantries, "The other Lords are yet to arrive. But, their servants and subordinates ave arrived ahead of their masters." Hauntruss cracked a grin, "The new legion of Knights I presume." The official nodded, continuing, "Reports indicate they have served well for the Empire and have proven themselves in the field."

"We shall see about that." Hauntruss hissed in amusement. "My main concern is the Imperial Fleet. It has decayed to its previous state since my absence conducting other affairs." The Sith official gave Hauntruss a quick glance. The Sith Lady was pensive and suddenly strict in her gaze. "The Sith Military proves more political and factional than the Lords themselves. IF we are to enforce order and maintain control an unified and coherent Navy is key."

The elevators split a part and Hauntruss with the official and her attendants stepped into its threshold. "At this meeting I intend to impose my full control and power over the navy. I will expand my outreach from the Inquisition Fleet and concentrate a united Sith Imperial Fleet. No more time wasted of failed leadership experiments. The Sith Fleet will become fully operational soon enough and when it is...the next phase of our conquests shall be unleashed." The official watched the Sith Lady proselytize. Hauntruss had a reputation for being the most feared war monger in the entire Sith Empire. But up close the official noticed something that sent a cold shiver down her spine.

Hauntruss was no brute, or mad monster. She was far worse - a methodical and cold conqueror, with an infinite taste for power. The official knew that Hauntruss would complete her fleet concept - on schedule. The doors opened once more and Hauntruss stepped out of the elevator to see a crowd of young knights and military personnel [[member="Setzi Lunelle"]] who had gathered in the reception room ahead of the main projection hall that housed the large monitors and holoprojectors.

The official bowed and took her leave. With her attendants hugging her flanks Hauntruss approached the group. Some of the military personnel were her own officers of the Inquisition Fleet who had arrived by their own person. They caught sight of the Inquisitorial Warmaster and broke into a filed saluted. Hauntruss raised her hand gesturing to them that she acknowledged their greeting. She began a short conversation of coming proceedings with her fleet captains as she awaited others to arrive.

Thanith had been doing yet another training flight in one of the fighters when one of the lesser known pilot frequencies came to life requesting pilots to a specific meeting place. Thanith thought about it for a long minute knowing he was still without a squadron assignment that largely kept him grounded. After a minute he sighed turning back to land figuring there was no harm in at least checking things out.

Jumping out of the cockpit he didn't even bother to change out of the flight suit instead heading to the included meeting place. He had slipped in a side door just as [member="Darth Hauntruss"] was making her entrance. His stomach doing flip flops at the notice of the Sith calling this..............well whatever it was. Thanith noticed really quickly there were exponentially more Sith present than military.

None the less he would straighten out the flight suit as best he could and stood tall popping a crisp salute when the others did. When collectively acknowledge Thanith would remain in place waiting to see what happened or at least who had actually called him here.

Meat pulled from the husk, teeth gnawing as the juices flowed freely from the carcass. Wooden spears thrust through the abdomen, through the body, through the very soul...

"You need more spices..."

Gabriel starred quietly at the skewered meat vendor, chomping lowly as the half masticated mystery vermin rolled around in his slightly opened jowls. He paused and bit another piece, ripping it freely from the body. "Herbs I think...did you add cinnamon?"

The vendor nodded his head, Gabriel mimicked the dumbfounded look with his own nod back and forth. "Yeah..." He kept on. "That's what I thought." He tossed the credits onto the counter, more than was needed. "Back off on the cinnamon, stick with what you know. Keep it simple." He threw the cleaned wooden stick into the garbage pale and wiped his mouth with a napkin before walking off.

A meeting, he thought, as he strode through the streets of Coruscant. He wondered, with all the ruckus lately from the peanut gallery rebel alliance, how it would feel to be in the presence of more veteran members of the One Sith once more. The notes were in regard to a naval restructuring, something done before and left to the wayside. What could he say? The Sith wished to bloody their hands in the entrails of the self-aggrandizing and inappropriately righteous. And just now, he was having to prepare a keynote speech for Dave. An innocent civilian killed by the vigilantes, not that he would mind. The image provided would support the cause.

Leaning down, he picked up a piece of debris and flicked it into the drain before pulling up his cowl. He would make his way to this meeting place, if not to just be present during a time when decisions would be made that might require at least a modicum of his input.

It was rare to see Nulgath in the public eye away from his obsessive studies but as it seemed there was a odd sort of gathering. Rumors of a past Sith Lord returning traveled almost instantly about the Sith Temple and Coruscant itself. The epicanthix did not want to miss the sight of a actual Sith in person. He had always admired the species for their culture and that alone made the Sith get respect from him.

Arriving on scene Nulgath said nothing and merely observed. This [member="Darth Hauntruss"] seemed strange to him, her motivations were more along the lines of helping One Sith become a greater Empire. Standing there in thought Nulgath crossed his arms against his chest and tilted his head slightly. Galactic domination thats all it ever cam down too. As others began to talk amongst themselves the epicanthix muttered " Politics.." and shook his head some. Politics he understood and knew but the never meant he liked the subject, fact remained that Nulgath knew politics abit too well specifically Sith Politics. Rise above and undermine your opponents... that was the aim but never a interest.

Darth Ayra's seclusion on Kursid had served to keep her out of the loop over the One Sith's campaign against the Galactic Republic. A key component during the Battle of Kashyyyk, where she had faced and successfully defeated a renegade Sith Lord that had threatened to turn the tide of the battle in favour of the Galactic Republic and their Jedi defenders, Ayra's return to the fold would see her join the One Sith as they came together to discuss the next phase of the war.

The dark side of the Force was stronger than it had ever been, after the destruction of Corellia. Akala's attack, which had affected the One Sith in a negative way, as it had the entire galaxy, had also been a benefit to the war effort. Where causalities had been sustained by the Imperial war machine, the Netherworld crisis had also served to further weakened the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order which had already been tried and tested by the Sith themselves. Even now, as Darth Ayra returned to Coruscant to meet with them, the dark side was palpable.

Lowering the cowl of her robe, Darth Ayra entered the scene after Nulgath Zardai's arrival. She only knew of these individuals by reputation alone. It was rare for the Sith Lord to reveal herself. In fact, the last time she had stepped foot on Coruscant, it had been in the Sith Citadel, during a series of events that had culminated in the deaths of a betrayer and one Circe Savan.

Or so we had thought. Fortunately, Darth Ayra had since rectified the situation. Past tense not withstanding.

This was the first time Ferus had ever gone to one of these such meetings. More often than not, he was doing his own work for the One Sith in his own way, away from prying eyes and scrutiny of his fellow Sith. For the most part, he was off the radar. Something one should expect from the more shadowy Hand of the Dark Lord. Yet here he was, coming to play the political game with those he never truly talked to.

Both hands rested at his sides as he wore his own signature armor of the Sith Assassins. He was here to represent them after all. His unassuming form would enter the Sith Temple without slowing his pace. The Sith knew who he was, and that was all that mattered to get in. Especially after the terrorist run on the temple gates.

With a sigh Ferus would look up towards the stairs he needed to take. The meeting would begin soon, so he shouldn't dilly dally.

Setzi Lunelle

Searching for Eleos's Altar
A pilot dressed in an official Sith Navy flight suit approached. Setzi had dressed in her normal Acolyte attire, but Arch, the Squadron Leader, was also wearing a uniform designating him such. This newcomer must have picked up the call for the pilots sorely needed by the One Sith to combat the Coruscanti resistance.

She moved forward to greet him, but suddenly there was a flurry of activity nearby, the sound of heavy footfalls signaling the arrival of many officials and among them [member="Darth Hauntruss"]. The brunette acolyte also stood at attention when the imposing Warmaster approached. She heard [member="Nulgath Zardai"] mutter something about politics, but kept her eye trained on the highest ranking Sith Lord among them. Setzi wasn’t there for a political reason. She was there to lend her skills and support, so that an attack on major Sith landmarks in Coruscant didn’t happen again.

She hoped for the sake of herself and the willing pilot beside her that they would come away from this meeting, having sufficiently convinced Darth Hauntruss that an elite squadron was needed as well as further recruitment activities for more pilots.

She might have not remembered him, but Sage Bane, the youngest Hand of the Dark Lord remembered Darth Hauntruss well. When he was an apprentice of Matsu Xiangu’s the Chiss hybrid was sent to fight alongside Hauntruss' forces along with Darth Venefica on Dorin. That day, Sage released a torment of bloodshed not only only on the Kel'Dor enclave, but also on the Dorin spaceport. Caught up in the spell of the blood rage, brought on from his escape of the Netherworld Blood Wastes, he massacred the entire spaceport without even a second thought. No Kel'Dor civilian was left standing that day, and Sage was not given even a reprimand. The beast had awakened, never to return despite his human skin.

Since that brutal purge of Dorin, Sage's star had risen. The illusionist was Knighted by Master Xiangu during a cleansing of light-sided cultists on Ashera, then made Lord and Hand after a second purging of Republic Jedi on Ruusan. A fiend on the battlefield, Sage lead the Yuuzhan Vong of the Legion Yun’Do against the Galactic Republic alongside his fellow Hand and the Dark Lord's Wrath in the canyons of Ord Mirit.

The battlefield ground commander, in attendance with the best and the brightest of the One Sith, was eager to find out what the revered Lady Hauntruss had in mind for total space domination. He had a feeling that he would not be disappointed.

There was someone she recognized. Darth Ferus had helped her become a master of several lightsaber techniques during their time in the New Order. It had been through her and Darth Pandeima that Ferus now walked among the One Sith, having seen to the Sith Lords revival. She suspected that Ferus always had an inclining that she was responsible for his return- Ayra was aware that he already knew about Pandeima- but had never confirmed it. She would be sure to avoid the Sith Assassin. He was dangerous.

Turning her gaze to the various gathered Sith, she found herself impressed. By name and reputation alone, Hauntress had brought out of hiding several prominent faces- including herself, although she was sure that in the eyes of the other Sith, she was no where near prominent- and leaders from the war front back into the heart of the Empire to discover what Hauntress was up too.

Darth Ayra was sure that she was in the right place. Something great was about to transpire here.

Isamu Baelor

Protector of The Iron Realm
Isamu found himself surrounded by the dark lords of the Sith. Their presence exuded an uncomfortable, overbearing aura. For a lowly human such as Isamu, one numb to the touch of the force; he may as well have been standing in the presence of gods.

His eyes scanned the room, fixating on each of the faces of the Sith Lords. He recognized many of them. Some he had fought for, others reputation preceded them, though none he had actually met face-to-face. Being in the same room as some of the most powerful individuals in the galaxy, it was a humbling experience.

A summons to the meeting had reached him, but the reason for eluded him. He was a High Colonel, commanding a force of fifteen thousand soldiers; but it was a mere speck compared to the gargantuan strength of the entire Sith military. He was no General, no star on the galactic stage. He was just a man with an unfettered sense of duty, who poured every fibre of his being into fighting for the Sith.

He respectfully bowed his head, and announced himself to his superiors. “My lords…”

Amongst her captains Hauntruss caught a glimpse of a trio of Sith Military folk, two dressed in pilot uniform with an acolyte between them ([member="Setzi Lunelle"] [member="Thanith Gumara"]). Her golden eyes cut across from the crowd and met those of the group. She smiled and nodded. It was a good sight to see. The Empire would need more loyal soldiers than ever. They were the sword and shield of the Emperor, without them the Sith Empire would be a cloistered cult.

Hauntruss pointed to the group with one of black gloved fingers, "Gentlemen" she questioned her captains, "Either of you can identify the group there." Some of the Captains gave an indifferent answer. Others kept silent, awaiting the chance to return to their topic at hand. Hauntruss' grin grew. She turned to one of her attendants. "Bring them to me." Hauntruss hissed. Lowering her finger she turned away and gestured for her captains to follow. One of the black robed attendants went about completing her master's orders and beckoning the group to follow close behind Hauntruss.

Hauntruss for her part made her way to the doors of the holoprojector hall. It was a great hall, held seats in concentric circles. She removed her cloak, revealing a long cascade of white hair pulled back and held by a black ornamental pin. She wore a red high collared tunic that dangled to her knees cut in a style reminiscent of the moff uniforms. Turning to the crowd Hauntruss raised her hands, "Shall we begin?" She called out.

"Please, My Lords your seats are right by the holoprojector. Captains, Admirals, Generals and members of the Sith Armed Forces, your seats are in the second ring. Have a seat." Hauntruss bewitching tone commanded the group. The Warmaster had called the meeting to open. And brushing the flaps of her tunic aside she sat down in her chair at the edge of the holoprojector clasping her fingers around the arms of teh chair like a hawk.

Suddenly the blue ghostly image of the Sith Empire manifested in the worlds it annexed materialized before them. Hauntruss' burning gold eyes scanned the room. She was keeping her eye out for the military personnel especially the trio she had demanded come sit right behind her. Even though her captains hadn't known a thing, her network within the military (a party of the Imperial Inquisition) always had eyes and ears. She knew who they were and their experiences - especially with the latest Coruscant Rebellion.

Hauntruss' face grew strict and flat in emotion.

"Let's begin with the military folk shall we." Hauntruss demanded, "Core conquered, Subsequent galactic rings invaded and a rebellion here at our capital. Fear me not, nor the lords. Speak your mind. And I shall listen."

Hauntruss finished by glaring down the rings of people sitting, each stare challenging them to speak. ([member="Isamu Baelor"])

When [member="Darth Hauntruss"] called the meeting to order Thanith moved forward taking a seat in the second circle of seats has instructed. His posture a ridged one of all business. He looked onward at the map taking in a few detials of what he could gather. When asked for thoughts Thanith balked for a moment hesitating until he realized he could quite possibily the only Navy Pilot Present.

After a minute he stood at attention and spoke his voice calm but steadfast.

"Ma'am, Flight Sergeant Thanith Gumara." "I am afraid I have no answers to the status on operations." "Since Graduation I have been steadiy waiting for assignment to a Squadron that has not happened." "Inquiries to command have gone unanswered." "I only came today because I was on a training flight and recieved a requests from an unknown source to be here."

Even when he finished speaking Thanith remained standing and unflinching waiting to see what would happen to him.

Darth Invidia found herself part of the meeting in where Siths of all ranks had gathered along with the upper echelons of the One Sith military forces. This was also her first official meeting since she had been knighted by her master [member="Darth Venefica"], and she was excited. Honoured as well, to receive the summons in the first place.

As she entered the large hall where the meeting would take place, she would give out a soft whistle in amazement of the congregation that had gathered here. Invidia knew most, if not all of the people here, and welcomed the company that was present. These were loyal members of the Sith empire, and the loyalist in her would always be delighted in the company of such. She was a little late though, she often was, but it was something she was currently working on to fix.

Invidia was dressed in her newly crafted armour, her hood was drawn down, her honey blonde hair as immaculate as ever, securely tied up in a bun behind her head. Slipping into her an empty seat beside [member="Isamu Baelor"], she would then smile as she tapped him on the arm, as the attention of the day shifted to the young pilot in the crowd who had sought it upon himself to answer the Sith known as [member="Darth Hauntruss"]. Seizing the opportunity in her hands, she would speak to the grizzled looking older man. "I've never seen you before, but you look like a good one. Where are you from?" Narrowing her eyes as she stared at him. "You're a loyalist as well, aren't you?"

Vengeance had taken a seat when Lady Hauntruss called the meeting to order. He sat confidently secure in his presence among the Lords of the Sith. Though not a Lord himself he was familiar with each of them save one for various reasons. Darth Venefica from the Dagobah, Lord Bane from the Alchemy class, Darth Ferus from the Sith Philosophy class, Reverance from fighting the undead and other things in the grave yard. Well Lady Hauntruss was new to him as well but that was to be expected considering.

He looked at the map with a smile taking note of each of the half dozen or so planets he had shed glorious blood on for the Emperor and his allies. He found her choice however to start with the Military a curious move. One he did not understand but after some of the lessons taught by Venefica on Dagobah about the Tin Cans as he had called them he did not question it. Instead he listened as apparently one of the newer pilots spoke up. What the young man had said was troubling but not unheard of. After listenign to the pilot speak Vengeance turned to Hauntruss to see what the response would be.

Darth Ayra strode forward, past the second ring of seats towards the holo projector. She deliberately choose the seat furthest away from the projector, on the edge of the seats where the Sith Lords would gather. The former Chancellor of the New Order folded one leg over the other, before clasping her hands on top of the desk ahead of her. Eyes wandering away from the contingent of Sith, as they moved to take their seats, Ayra found herself watching the captains that Darth Hauntruss had directed her question too.

It had been several years ago- 837 to be exact- that she had met with Solan Charr and several other individuals, she hadn't heard of before. Learning that there was a rebellion on Coruscant, and that it taken off, was surprising to say the least. From her knowledge, that rebellion had died out; and she knew the One Sith had taken extensive precautions to kill any ideas of rebellion, with their efforts to repairing Coruscant and it's infrastructure, which had been damaged during the Battle of Coruscant, that had seen the One Sith reveal themselves to the galaxy. Furthermore, any idea of usurping or betraying the circle of Sith Lords that served the Dark Lord directly was considered suicide. You need only ask Darth Junra or Vilox Pazela as proof.

Silent, Darth Ayra would hear the captains report before activating her intercom to reveal what she knew. If Solan Charr had something to do with the rebellion, then she would find out here. Other than that, the Sith Lord knew little to nothing about it and so this would be a learning curve, upon her return to the galaxy.

Isamu Baelor

Protector of The Iron Realm
Isamu felt a light tap on his arm. He turned his head and was greeted by the smile of a young woman. "I've never seen you before, but you look like a good one. Where are you from?" she asked, adding "You're a loyalist as well, aren't you?" Isamu gave the woman a nod. “High Colonel Isamu Baelor. Sith Military.” He answered. “Coruscant native.” Isamu glanced down, his eyes taking notice of the Lightsaber on her person. “A lightsaber. Acolyte, or Knight?”

Darth Hauntrass had dealt with the pilot that spoke up, and the floor was now clear. Isamu turned to Darth Invidia, and brought a brief pause to their conversation. “Give me a moment. I have business to deal with.” Isamu didn’t intend to be so blunt, or rude. A lifetime of military molded him to speak in a specific way. It’s just the way he was.

Isamu rose to his feet, and addressed the room before him. “Darth Hauntrass. My lords. Alongside my troops, I have fought for the One Sith and helped expand the borders of our empire. While our losses throughout these campaigns have been… acceptable, I do not believe they were necessary. There are issues in the military, which stop the full potential of our might being unleashed on our enemies. Our lack of dedicated siege equipments, units that synergize, and anti-air capabilities.”

“Our siege forces are haphazardly put together. Vong forces mixed with mechanized forces. There is no cohesion. It’s a logistical nightmare, and only serves to weaken us. I believe we need a new siege force, built from the group up for synergy. Anti-Air, artillery, power armor, all working in cohesion.”

“I ask you, what is more powerful?” Isamu raised his left arm, hand extended out, and palm open. “A force comprised of wildly different technologies, pushed together to work in a way never intended?” He then raised his right arm, and balled his hand into a fist. “Or one force, built for one purpose, fighting together as one?” He then softly hit his open palm with his first.

“As for anti-air, I turn your attention to the recent raid on our Temple. Enemy fighters infiltrated our airspace, and were met with minimal resistance. This is unacceptable. Had the necessary Anti-Air units been in place, the enemy fighters would have been shot down, long before they reached the temple. My requests to command to correct this have fallen on deaf ears.”

The words were stopped from leaving Isamu’s mouth, caught on a lingering thread of doubt. He knew the things he said today would undoubtedly reach the ears of command. He would most likely be viewed as a pariah by his peers, but he felt he had to be said. He feared for what could happen if he didn’t.

“...I fear a disease of complacency has taken root, and festered, in the upper ranks of the military. Glaring deficiencies such as this should have been rectified a long time ago, but they have not. I dread the day when a larger, more organized enemy force takes advantage of this fact.”

A thought struck Isamu. Would what he says next be seen as the act of a man loyal to the Sith, and loyal to his soldiers, looking out for the best interests of the empire? Or would be seen as a power-play, the move of a power hungry commander, looking to expand his strength? Ultimately, it didn’t matter. His soldiers, the men and women who put their lives in his hands, were dying. They were dying on the battlefield, alone and scared, and part of it was because of the lazy, content, command at the top. He brushed the thought aside, he didn’t care. They could think whatever they wished, but he had a duty.

“Darth Hauntrass, I seek the authority to meet with our military contractors, and finally fix this. I also request that the Battlegroup under my command be reformed. The first to be armed with these new weapons. Trained to tear apart our enemies. The Sith’s first Mechanized Assault and Siege Battlegroup. The Sith’s Iron Warriors.”
