SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Force-Imbued for enhanced durability and cutting power
  • Versatile, multi-purpose design
  • Definitely real, historically verified legacy of bloodshed and conquest
STRENGTHS
  • Force Imbued - Like the Force-Imbued Blades used by the precursors of the Jedi, The "Black Blade of Chandrila" has enhanced cutting power and durability as compared to a plain old steel sword; it can hold up to repeated strikes from a lightsaber, and cut through plasteel stormtrooper armor like a particularly sturdy jacket.
  • Versatile - It's not just good for chopping! Use the hook to dismount enemies on speeders (or mounts, if your victims are particularly old school), use the point like a war-pick to crack through enemy armor, use the pommel to dislodge a few teeth! The cruelties you can inflict with this weapon are limited only by your imagination and the laws of physics.
  • Echo Fighter - Why hit someone once when you can hit them twice? Why settle for killing just one poor schmuck at a time? When you swing, stab, chop, or slice with the Black Blade of Chandrila, the Blade channels your murderous intent into the creation of a gale of telekinetic wind that mimics your initial strike, not unlike a version of the Darkshear. Kill two nerfherders with one swing! Kill one nerfherder twice as brutally!
WEAKNESSES
  • Void Sensitivity - Anomalous Antiquities reminds its buyers that Force Artefacts are subject to disruption by Voidstone, Ysalamir Force Negation Bubbles, and other anti-Force materials. Continued function of Force-based features while in such environments is not guaranteed, and is in fact likely impossible.
  • Darkling - Jedi, or others strong in the Light Side of the Force, are documented to occasionally nullify the effects of strongly Dark-Affiliated Force Artefacts. Sustained exposure to Force Light, Oneness, and other such manifestations of the Light are also known to destroy Force Artefacts, and such risk-taking voids the Antiquities Anomalous return policy. You have been warned.
  • Destructive Tendencies - Anomalous Antiquities is not liable for any mood swings, personality changes, or phantom memories experienced by the purchaser of this item. Continued use of the Black Blade of Chandrila may lead to paranoia, loss of patience, decreased empathy for others, sadism, risk-taking behavior, or delusions that you are a Great Schism-Era Boganite warrior. Please consult your local Jedi temple if you experience symptoms, but don't tell them where you bought it!
DESCRIPTION
Tens of thousands of years ago, Chandrila was home to one of the most vicious Dark Side armies ever amassed. It's not a history Chandrila or its Jedi will share - it's been erased, hidden, out of foolish shame and useless guilt. But those tens of thousands of years ago, a great and nameless general waged an insurgent war against the Jedi of the Valley-pocked planet. So great was his power, those who know the truth say, that he was able to fell thirty foes with one stroke of his blade - that his pure killing intent was so overwhelming, that his blade cleaved space and time to slay whole battalions at once. When the Jedi finally killed him (it took, they say, a total of fifteen Masters of the Force to bring him down) they locked his blade and his corpse away, deep in a forbidden valley on his homeworld. They were not as versed in the destruction of Dark artifacts at that time, you see, and this blade was so infused with its wielder's hatred and rage that it was impossible to destroy by mere physical force. Recently, though, this vault has been breached. The body of the nameless general is long-since dust, but the Blade remains, as sharp and deadly as ever. It passes from owner to owner, leaving tragedy in its wake, as it searches for one worthy to wield it true...

...Or so goes the sales pitch, anyway. In reality, Anomalous Antiquities owner, chief salesperson, and historiographer Vestra Tane discovered the So-Called "Black Blade of Chandrila" whilst robbing a mass grave at the site of an unremembered massacre in an unoccupied Chandrilan valley. Although it functions as advertised, the claims made by Tane about the Blade's history are...suspect, to say the least. There is no record, in any history, no matter how Sith-Apologist, of this so-called "Nameless General," nor of the Legion of Lettow's presence on Chandrila, or any of the claims made above, in fact. But when has the truth ever mattered in sales?
