Yes, well we don't always get our intentions realised.
"We really, really want to help you people...so let's use crucifixions, human shields and stormtrooper invasions to show it!"
If you're going to try and blame GA for bringing down a Star Destroyer in a war zone the question really is...why do benevolent humanitarians need a Star Destroyer?
Besides, the area around there is either the city (filled with FO troops and few civilians) or mountains filled with nothing but ice and Jesters.
Since you have chosen to enter this conversation by publicly ditching staff impartiality, I assume that means I get a right of reply

No salt or drama here, but I don't want people to think they need to accept your version of the truth by virtue of you being the head admin, particularly when it does not reflect reality. I think it bears clarification so that people understand that there are (at least) two sides to the story.
Here are some facts:
1. Crucifixions were not used by
any First Order personnel as far as I'm aware. They were used by an independent Sith Lord against people who, by the way, are criminals and terrorists, not "just folks". And lastly, they began
after the Galactic Alliance and friends intervened in a non-violent humanitarian mission.
2. Benevolent humanitarians need a Star Destroyer when their actions are interfered with by the Galactic Alliance (who, by the way, started the hostility).
2a. The
actual question is, if the Firemane and the GA and the other white knights in this thread are so concerned for the health and well-being of the natives, why would they violently intervene with what was an
entirely nonviolent and peaceful mission designed to provide assistance and study the ecological effects of the planetary disaster? The default (if unoriginal) position of "kill the stormtroopers" is
fine but nobody can say with credibility they are liberating a conquered populace because we haven't conquered anyone

3. We're not going to blame the GA for bringing down a Star Destroyer until we know whether the GA has done something to do so. I pride myself on avoiding metagaming. We only know that a Star Destroyer was downed; we don't know how or by whom. I don't think it's a lot to ask to read our response before denouncing it as garbage, do you?
So far I think this thread is going great, and I'm enjoying myself immensely reading and pondering it. It's my first time doing this type of thing, so it's all new and terrifying to me. It has brought out a lot of creativity on the part of my faction's writers and I couldn't prouder of their performance so far. Likewise, [member="Zark"] and the members of the Galactic Alliance are acquitting themselves ably. Well done friends!
