The Imperial Star Destroyer rocketed through hyperspace, marked only be the freshly painted Fel Imperium logo on the port and starboard sides of it. Its name was the Outbreak, bearing true faith to its namesake when an outbreak of panic and frenzied fear ensued within the enemy ranks and lines upon its arrival. It was the bane of any foe's existence, especially those who stood in the way of the Fel Imperium. It was now Davin's home as it had been many others, but now it was time to take a trip back to his birthplace and dig up traces of his past and that of those before him.

This particular Star Destroyer was en route to Chiss space. First to drop by Naporar, his homeworld which had largely been surprisingly untampered by the Atrisian Empire. He had a contact on there back before he left, a contact of the Nuruodo House that had been withholding information from public eye regarding their esteemed alumni, Grand Admiral Thrawn. Davin was an avid follower of the former Admiral's trials, campaigns, and now he would delve deep down into those secrets tucked away in the most brilliant mind in the entire galaxy.

"Admiral Davin, we're about two thirds of the way there. Shall we prepare for the next jump upon arrival?"
Davin craned his neck down to address the officer in the bridge trench. "Yes, Captain. I will confirm the coordinates to Wayland after my discussion with my contact. He should be awaiting us upon a Chiss transport." He cleared his throat. "Prepare for them to board with the Outbreak."
"Yes, sir." A sharp salute ensued and once again, bridge duty was serenely quiet.
"Commander Draik, keep the bridge on watch and notify me when we arrive."
A commander leaning over to check a terminal offered a reply. "Yes, sir!"

The guest suite was filled with a number of higher ranking or more important Fel Military leaders and members. Davin's entry flanked by a pair of Stormtroopers silenced all conversation that had been ongoing and now he stood at the head of the room. The Chiss officer cleared his throat and began. "Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you for partaking on this expedition to my homeworld. It's a very sentimental item to me and secrets shall be uncovered upon arrival." He reached down to slid up his white sleeve to check his chrono. "We should be there in about thirty minutes. I advise to prepare yourselves to meet with higher officials from House Nuruodo of the Chiss."

"That is all."

He was going to be taking some time to get used to this Commander bit within the Starfighter Corps. Jared knew how to fly, he knew how to lead, mostly, but it was still different. Living aboard the Dawn Treader did him well, however, it did stunt him socially. He understood how to command, what he was supposed to do, but he still needed some of the practice. And being aboard the Outbreak was going to help. His father had supplied him with enough Imperial surplus field manuals, to assist him.

Plus all the history lessons. The ones he was going to be experiencing for the first time in many years. He knew that Csillia was steeped in the history of Warbird Wing. The ancient history, but still, many of the ideals that his family took with them were from the Chiss. And it was going to be interesting to see it all first hand. Probably another reason he had so much respect for Davin.

Once the jump was nearing completion, the recently minted Commander had made his way to the briefing room, to start preparing for his role in the upcoming events. When Davin entered the room, the pilot got to his feet to offer a salute. Right, the House Nuruodo was going to be arriving. That should be… special.

Jae loved missions like these. Ones that strengthen the bond with her fellow Imperials and possibly even create them with some she has yet to meet. The Imperial Commander sat at the bar of the high roller suite aboard the Outbreak, sipping a cool drink through an emergency induction port. Her soft purple lips left the emergency induction port once the Grand Admiral found his way to the suite.

"Glad to be here, Grand Admiral. Anything to aid a fellow Imperial." Jae spun around in her sit to give the Grand Admiral eye contact from beneath her mask. "What's the atmosphere on your homeworld like? I would really like to remove my mask. It's been so long since I haven't been required to wear it." Hopefully, where they were going would be at least a Type II atmosphere.

Being aboard a Star Destroyer was different than public transport in a great number of ways, most notably the military presence at literally every turn. Voroll was only an Imperial Knight cadet, but even he had to know who to salute; how to salute; when to salute and when not to. So far it was proving to be pretty difficult trying to remember all the names of the captains, the commanders and every other high-ranking officer on board. So instead of having to stop in a hallway every so often to salute an officer walking past, he decided to spend most of his time in the gym or with some of the stormtroopers while they trained.

Force-knows he needed the extra help with the training and luckily some of the stormtroopers were kind enough to lend a helping hand in whatever training they needed to continue to do while on long-haul flights. Plus, when word did spread (sometimes like wildfire amongst the troopers), it gave him at least some estimated insight into the meetings and briefings of those higher-than-he.

And they were off to Naporar. His contacts already had a ship in orbit ready to dock with the Outbreak in a moments notice. God forbid if the Atrisian Empire showed up, the House Phalanxes and CEDF would be all over them in an instant. Still, them having knowledge of such a situation would be a vast vulnerability on Davin.

As he finished his little briefing he was met by Commander Starchaser. Davin shot an acknowledging gaze and a nod to the man and returned the salute. "Afternoon, Commander." And then he was surrounded by a few other officers. One in particular with a facemask and a feminine body figure. Davin gave her a polite, greeting bow and answered her question. "Hello there, madam. I believe Naporar has a Type I atmosphere. As for our destination, I'll have to confirm that with my contacts." Another glance at his chrono. "We should be there pretty soon."

There was a lot to get done here. Jared was wondering what he’d be able to learn from the Chiss. They were the ones who did create the Clawcraft, in his opinion, one of the best starfighters in history. Maybe the only other one being the TIE Advanced x1, but that was Vader’s and the history behind such a craft was enough to top anything. Receiving his salute back from the Admiral, Jared nodded. “Sir.”

He followed the gaze around the room. He had been noticing the other Commander around. Who couldn’t, with the suit and the figure? Right, that was neither here nor there. Jared still didn’t know what she did. He’d figure it out sooner or later.
“We don’t have a need for starfighters today, do we?” This was sight seeing, wasn’t it? And fact finding? He didn't want to be sitting in a fighter on alert, but if he needed to, that was up to the Grand Admiral.

As the masked commander approached him with the question, Davin could not help himself but introduce himself with a curt bow. Formality and humbleness to even his lowest ranked crewman was always a strong pursuit of his. "Commander Koris." He smiled tightly. "I'm afraid we will not be going planetside until we reach our true destination." Though his attention to the masked officer was diverted to his friend, Commander Starchaser.

"Ah, Commander Starchaser!" He smiled a little wider. "Fighters are already fueled and prepped. We'll deploy you and your squadron for recon once we reach Wayland."

Looking around, Jared was feeling ready. They had a small team assembled, sure, but it was a strong team. These were his brothers and sisters in arms, and while he had his ego that was stemmed from being a fighter pilot, he knew everyone here had their purpose for the Imperium, to bring greater peace to the galaxy, and defend that peace.

Wayland was something special. It was a place that Jared recognized for the lore aboard his old ship. It was where the Warbird Wing became who they were after leaving one of the Warlord’s care and were taken in by the Chiss shortly after the destruction of an Empire that, Jared felt, served its own purpose. It was going to be good to see what he could learn from the Chiss directly.

Not that learning from @[member="Davin"] didn’t count, but being somewhere with one of the Houses that made it all the more interesting. “Just let know when to deploy, Admiral.”

The rooms the Royal Stormtroopers kept up to date with their training were small; like the crew gyms. Despite being able to only fit a section of stormtroopers inside one, with all the training gear they needed, it was challenging and strenuous. They had Voroll doing laps of the room against a timer and each lap the time would get shorter and shorter. While they found great amusement from the Imperial Cadet's lack of stamina or speed, they did give him hints and tips and even stopped the clock a few times so he could catch up. It wasn't a standard training exercise, but one created months ago to develop skills alongside regulated training.
He of course didn't wear his Royal Stormtrooper armour for the exercise, the five soldiers weren't as cruel as to do that. He wore a standard-issue training gear. A black shirt with grey vest over the top and black, loose-fitting bottoms. It gave him the flexibility that armour did not, but was warm enough to cause profuse perspiration.

After the lapping, one stormtrooper - who introduced himself as Mebba - offered to help Voroll with his blaster aim. He told the boy that he had no experience with lightsabers or sword-fighting so could help him with that, but would be more than happy to help with correct etiquette to hold and fire a rifle. The young Cadet was more excited for that than running.

That's right, scouts and fighters might even be needed in the beginning stages. Naporar was fairly close to Atisian occupied space so scoutships or listening posts were always a possibility. If detected and not eliminated soon enough, Davin would lose the entire element of surprise and lose everything he'd worked so hard for. He'd lose the loyalty and trust of his contacts, valuable information, a staging point, and technology that could alter the future and every single long term plan he'd ever devised.

"I assume we'll be there so-"
"Admiral! We're coming out of hyperspace now!" A gruff voice sounded out from Davin's wrist comlink.
"Good, Captain. Prep everything we have and open the starboard boarding bay. We're going to be hosting a few guests, so deploy my guard and keep watch."
"Aye, sir."

The Grand Admiral gestured towards Starchaser and the other commander present. "Please accompany me in meeting our esteemed guests." And with that, they were off down the corridor to the main meeting suite.

The scope of the rifle had been calibrated and adjusted to factor in no wind resistance in the elongated room. On the other side of the scope was a small target that had started to move more rapidly and in random directions. At first it was stationary - which after about ten minutes became incredibly easy to hit, if not all in the centre - but as time went on the training exercise developed itself around the accuracy of the shooter. So far he had managed to do this without the aid of the Force: Mebba was a Non Force-sensitive and as such did not know anything about meditation and concentration and the emptying of one's mind to fulfil Force-related goals. He was a soldier. And he knew how to shoot.

Voroll managed to follow the target, but just before his finger pulled it darted away. After a few minutes and words of encouragement from Mebba:
"Don't fire right away, choose your moment. Not when it's still; it'll move quick." The door to the rifle range burst open and a naval officer strode in, his voice was firm but not hostile.
"Astaar, your presence is required in the starboard boarding bay, ASAP." His shock of silver amidst the black bounced as he talked, as if it were the strands speaking and not the man. That was all Voroll could focus on of the man, not his rank, his name or even the colour of his uniform; but the talking hair. "Suit up and shine up: you've got Honour Guard duties." The officer's speech was slower than a normal man's. It seemed as if he took great care in correctly pronouncing and intoning each and every word he spoke so that their meaning carried well.

Sprinting down the hallways of the stardestroyer, with a vibrosword hung across his waist and a blaster rifle strapped to his back, the Imperial Cadet had no idea what awaited him when he arrived in the boarding bay; if he would just stand by like a soldier guarding a palace; escort esteemed guests around the ship or display some form of military procedure he was not familiar with. Regardless, he spotted the rest of the Grand Admiral's Honour Guard making their way into the boarding bay before any other military figures were present.
His freshly-polished armour shone a brilliant white with the symbol of the Church of the Morning Star displayed on both left and right shoulder pauldrons. He stood in a Fel salute, having copied the rest of the fully-armoured Honour Guard in doing so. All he did then was wait.

Jared was here for whatever was needed. Imperial Knights lead the way, and all that. Besides, being in a fighter was going to give him the view he needed. Just enough to see everything and sense what was going on in the galaxy around him. And by galaxy, he meant the local space. Someone had to make sure this meeting went off without a hitch.

And no sooner did the Chiss speak than they were dropping from hyperspace. Nodding to his friend, Jared turned on his heel, checking his uniform over quickly, and followed. “Should be fun.” Jared idly wondered what fighters the Chiss were going to be bringing over. Really, the man needed a hobby

The Grand Admiral and his companion made their way through the Outbreak, catching a stray salute or a polite greeting from an officer. It was nice to finally be in a well disciplined military again, the Sith made their troops fear their own commanders. No such strategist should ever do that to happen. If the subjects feared their leader through respect, it was acceptable. Only through confidence in their own superiors and their tactical planning and skills would pave way to victory, as such was the defining successes of the Fel Imperium as of late.

As if he'd been struck by a brick, the Admiral snapped back into reality, away from his inner thoughts that had been distracting him during the trip over. The meeting room had already been cleaned and assembled in an eye-pleasing manner. For a suite on a Star Destroyer, the meeting sectors were always the top in luxury. Fine furniture littered the room, softly accompanied by artwork along the walls and a somber lighting provided by numerous glowlamps strategically placed about the space. His Honor Guard had also been assembled, staning center-faced in double file, awaiting his guests.

He was glad it didn't take more than a few seconds for them to arrive.

The sealed doors hissed open with a startling fizz of air, the hulk of metal sliding into its socket to reveal a pair of blue skinned beings. One was taller, obviously lean as per the Chiss biology, yet he appeared bulkier than most. The second was a female, ranging only a few inches below the height of her companion. She was adorned in an elegant dress, her status being displayed more by her posturing than her fine clothing. Judging by that alone, Davin assumed that she was the contact he'd be meeting. The other was probably a bodyguard of some sort, his armored frame couldn't say otherwise.

"Greetings, welcome aboard the Outbreak." Davin strode forward a few calm paces. "I assume you are Teela?" The Grand Admiral had no other way of knowing, they'd only given their core names, and even that was probably a lie. This one seemed to hail from one of the ruling families, possibly even the fled Csapla family from Csilla.
"I am she." The female, confirmed as Teela, graced forward to take Davin's hand in hers. "This is Jarl." She lightly pumped his hand in greeting as she addressed the larger than normal, armored, and armed Chiss shadowing her.
"It's a pleasure." Davin nodded to the man.
The guard snorted. "Sure."
"Jarl." Teela rose a hand, silencing the hulk before he could say anything more. "We're here to cooperate, not divide even more."
"Yes, my lady."

"Come, sit with me and discuss things." Davin cocked his glance to Starchaser, giving him a look that told him to join them as well. "Guards, you are dismissed. Except you." His fingerless word was aimed at one of the guards with emblems upon his shoulders. "You may stay."
"Of course. Let's." And with that, the small group rested themselves in the center table of the room, each of them sitting in plush-cushioned seats and a platter of refreshments sitting before them.

As much as the crew of the Dawn Treader and Warbird Wing were a military unit, the leaders back there were very lax in military protocol when they didn’t really need it. Typical things were overlooked, salutes in the hall, and the ability to speak freely was always given. That was for the most part. Then General Ardellian would give a look, or a wave of feeling in the Force and everyone, even Jared’s father who was one of the General’s closest friends, fell in line.

That was one of those things Jared needed to prove to himself. Sure, his father had more raw talent than he did, in the Force, in piloting, in whatever, but Jared was going to prove to be the better officer. And becoming close with the Grand Admiral was different. He wasn’t wanting the game of favorites played, but he wasn’t about to change anything about his position.

Snapping to attention when the Chiss arrived, Jared regretted the look he gave them both, especially the female, Teela. He was going to let @[member="Davin"] do the talking at this point, until he was invited to stay in the meeting. Relaxing, he finally allowed himself to talk. “It’s a pleasure to meet the two of you.” He really had been looking forward to this meeting, and discussing the future with the Chiss.

When all the guards who stood opposite and beside him were dismissed, a sudden feeling shocked his system into an even straighter, even tighter salute. His face rigid, as were the rest of his limbs. Until he was told to stay. The standard Fel salute fell with his arm, returning to a normal place by his waist and he followed behind the two new Chiss; at the back of the group.
He was the last to take a seat and was nearest to Jarl, which didn't seem to mind either of the two. His Empathy started to pick up a high sense of confidence from the room, but being closest to the most fearsome-looking of the group, Voroll attributed the feelings to the brute of a blue-man. He supposed that if a fight were to break out, Jarl would have little convictions against using his brute force against the three Fel Cadets. Although, in such a place as the interior of a star destroyer, such an event was unlikely.

As the little group converged on the finely furbished furniture, Davin took an extra moment before seating to flick a thankful glance at both Starchaser and Astaar. The latter was only a name he'd seen recently as a transfer to his vessel and on the Academy roster as he was an Imperial Cadet. Hardwoking, quick to action, and a relater. He was a valuable asset and could help Davin decipher the emotions of the pair meeting him on this occasion. Starchaser, he considered his right-hand man for all things fleet. He was an ace pilot, he exhibited intense discipline in formal situations and confidence sprinkled with swagger on the battlefield. They both were a perfect team alone.

"Teela, Jarl." He gestured towards his recently invited guests. "This is Commander Jared Starchaser and Imperial Cadet Voroll Astaar. Both are trusted men of the Imperium and I can assure you that their talents and skills are top-par."
Teela smiled and nodded politely to them. "Hello there." And her bodyguard didn't seem too enthused that there were more people around, merely shooting Voroll with a mean glance and grunting in greeting. And without further ado, Teela began.
"Admiral Davin, we of House Nuruodo have noticed your actions against the Atrisian Empire and her allies. We want to help you. For far too long have the Chiss been besieged by outsiders but always repelling them until they return in greater numbers such as the Vagaari." Her soft eyes traced to Starchaser and Astaar. "The current CEDF is in shambles, along with most of the Household Phalanxes, but we do have something that may interest you."
"And what might that be?" He inquired, a brow raised.
A light trickle of a smile crept on to Teela's features. "We have information regarding Thrawn's regime of the Empire of the Hand, access to his personal resources, and a safe haven for your operations."

Davin had to take a moment to collect all of the data being presented to him. Informational files, ancient resources used by his ancestor, and a place of operations that could be hidden from the enemy as well as the Fel Imperium. That last thought disturbed him. Why shouldn't they know? That their Executor of the Navy was off splashing around in backwater worlds and creating an army to free his people? That would be to be determined later on. Right now they just needed resources and a stronghold.

"And where is this haven located at?"
"Wayland." She replied abruptly. "Reports say that even some old Spaarti Cloning technology is still there, may even be salvageable."
The Admiral folded his fingers, leaning closer to the female before him.
"So what's the catch?"
Teela hesitated, as if insulted. "There is no catch. Me and my advisors merely wish to confirm your support and backing of the rebel forces against the Atrisian Empire." She turned to Jared and then Voroll. "And the support of your allies. What do you say?"

The Admiral already made up his mind. But what about the other two?

The position of @[member="Davin"] ’s right hand in the fleet was not something that Jared took lightly, and he did all he could to ensure he deserved the position, and honor. Maybe the pilot lacked some people skills, but he liked to assist in any way possible.

As he was introduced by his rank in the military, Jared made a sharp salute to the pair of Teela and Jarl. This time, and in a salute, it was easier to not give Teela the look over. The bodyguard was still worrying Jared, but the pilot wasn’t able to key into just what was bothering him. Once he felt that he was released, the pilot calmed down, looking over at @[member="Voroll Dey Astaar"]. Through the lessons of his Wing, he knew about the CEDF, and the Chiss as a whole. A people he did respect.

When Thrawn’s name was mentioned, the pilot definitely clued into this. Sure, they had the Flashpoints, but imagine them with Chiss engineering… Right, that was probably too wishful of a thought at this point. There were certain points to this that Jared was a bit too ready to assist with. His father always said he didn’t have the dark leanings that bothered certain Force users.

And it wasn’t that Jared was a full follower of the light, but still, there were certain things he wouldn’t do. “So, you’re willing to trade us Spaarti technology, as well as access to Wayland for our assistance?” Jared was surprised. It just seemed too good. “And it’s the Atrisians that are the threat at the moment?” He felt that this was a grand opportunity for the Fel Imperium. Maybe his tone was betraying him, if not his feelings in the Force definitely were, to both of his comrades.

Being the least experienced, Voroll followed the lead of the pilot, @[member="Jared Starchaser"]. He saluted when he saluted and let it drop when his dropped. He stood there watching the pair; eyes flittering between four people as they talked (even though the Bodyguard did not). Names and peoples were mentioned like the Atrisians - whom he knew little about and even less about their empire; and the Vagaari. He had no idea what they were, who they were or how they operated, but they had apparently invaded Chiss space before.

His attention turned to Teela when she mentioned something brief about attack from outsiders. Voroll's eyes didn't move, nor did his brow, but mentally he zoned in on her words. He had no reason to distrust the woman - the Grand Admiral of the Fel Imperium seemed to trust her, if only somewhat - nor could he immediately feel anything of note from her emotional state.
But there she was, on a Fel vessel, asking one of few Chiss in the Imperium for aid when her people were distrusting of outsiders? He may not know a lot about the ideals and principles of the Chiss, but this seemed a little odd. Maybe he thought too much into it.

From the rest of the conversation he gathered that they wanted to protect themselves from external forces by offering to @[member="Davin"] one of the many means of doing so? Granted clones took time to grow, but raising an army did as well. His thoughts bounced around, clearly not-totally aware of the goings on here. More thoughts popped into his mind: why would the Grand Admiral want cloning technology and a secure "safe haven" in which to grow some?

He could tell the two were both happy and, if only slightly, excited, about the future prospect of clones and assisting a rebellion. But Voroll was not too sure. He kept quiet; not wanting to speak out-of-turn or to insult the guests. If they were to aid the Chiss and their Expansionary Defence Force they would need the means to do so. It may cost the Fel a fair amount of credits, but would it be wise? To publicly assist rebels against an empire Voroll knew nothing about?

It seemed his allies where thinking the same thing he was. Jared outright questioned it, a testimony to his confident and tendency to display candor. He was a good man, speaking his mind instantly with precisely calculated questions. The younger member of Davin's side remained silent, no doubt more than slightly nervous due to the spot he was in, but Davin had faith in him. They were both Imperial Cadets, nearing their trials to Knighthood as well. They would grow and prosper just as their comrades had, growing to such levels that their actions could affect the fate of the galaxy. It was what Davin had planned for all of them.

"Yes, we are willing to supply you with whatever resources you need..." Teela confirmed solemnly. "Thrawn brought us peace and order once, now we need him again."
The Grand Admiral cleared his throat. "I shall help you." Teela's face lit up with a bright smile, seemingly unbefitting of a noble woman, but yet it felt right.
"But we will do this smartly. Use a corporation or a business as a cover for it, sign a contract and do legal work. That way it's legitimate if anyone questions it and the under the table operations can happen smoothly." His eyes steeled into Teela and Jarl, who seemed a little more pleased than he'd originally been.
"Got it." The bodyguard nodded to him with respect, also sending a glance in the direction of Jared and Voroll.
"Thank you, Grand Admiral." She rose with an uppity motion, obviously pleased by the outcome of this meeting. "Here are the coordinates and information to Wayland, all you need to do is acquire it. We have workers there now, but not many." Jarl handed her a small datapad, to which she passed to Davin.

"Thank you all." Her bright, gleaming eyes twinkled in delight as she bowed in thanks to both Commander Starchaser and Voroll. She rose from the courteous gesture, cocked her head back to the entrance, and departed with Jarl in tow.

"Alright men." The Admiral heaved himself up from the couch, straightening his tunic. "I've already got the coordinates to Wayland, so we're launching right about-" And the hum of engines cut off his timed sentence. "Now. Commander Starchaser, prepare your fighters." He stared down at the information and schematics for a minute. "Take whatever you need and scout ahead in the research areas. Me and Voroll here shall head for the fortress and adjoining cloning facility on foot." He clicked the datapad off and looked at the both of them. "You have my thanks as well."

He pursed his lips, nodded with an unfamiliar feeling in his gut, and headed down for the hangar bay. Hopefully Voroll was already on his tail and Jared was bounding down the other hallway to the ventral hangars. Davin smiled, letting himself relax for a brief moment. The Chiss were on their way to freedom.

Jared was ready for something to happen. As a pilot, he wasn’t one to take the time beating around the bush. He plotted a course, and he went for it. For better or worse. The Starchaser might not be quite a Knight yet, but he was definitely a pilot, and an officer. Wayland was a goldmine, and if they were going to get it, they were going to be in for the long haul here.

He listened to the other Chiss and waited for them to leave, giving Teela one last look as she left. “A pleasure.” He spoke softly as she dismissed herself and the body guard. Really, what was his deal?

Looking over to the Admiral, he was ready for what was next. “Yessir.” He had an idea that crept into his mind. “Sir, one more thing. I can speak to my father, the Dawn Treader has a history with Wayland. They might not mind a post out this way. And do you want full presence, or just a scout team?” Would depend if he launched a full Air Wing or just a flight group with the rest on standby.
