PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Age: Late 40’s
Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
Species: Human
Appearance: Saul stands a little over 1.9 meters tall with an athletic build, not uncommon for an active duty soldier in a combat position. He has short greying hair that used to be black in his youth, and is clean shaven to military regulation. The captain once had bright blue eyes but they have dulled across his many years of service. He wears various naval uniforms, including a dress uniform, BDU’s, as well as several coats and blast vests.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Name: Saul Rigg
Rank: Captain | O-6
Loyalties: Free World’s Coalition | Galactic Alliance
Wealth: Middle Class
Notable Possessions: Captain Rigg has a framed painting of his family; father, mother, and wife in his office. He has a few souvenirs from various planets on his desk, but nothing spectacular or noteworthy. Most of his property is standard government issue or mundane.
Skills: Captain Rigg is a trained Officer, capable of using a variety of military weapons and systems if the situation requires it, such as piloting craft, using blasters in various Close Quarters Battle scenarios and participating in light-fights. Though capable of directly participating in combat, Captain Rigg is not exceptional.

Captain Rigg’s primary skills lie in naval combat, commanding and performing maneuvers at the helm of a capital ship or in command of a small task force. In addition he is experienced with diplomatic missions, providing security for government officials, and navigating through space phenomena.
Personality: Captain Saul Rigg possess a confident friendly demeanor, while observant of military regulation and procedure, he attempts to build personal relationships with the members of his crew to an extent, such as chatting with enlisted crewmen in the mess hall or allowing them to speak frankly when prompted on many occasions. He often allows his men to provide him with feedback and their thoughts about situations and scenarios that occur, though in private. The captain can be stubborn, however. Once he has collected evidence or sought council on a subject and provided a decision, that decision is final aboard his vessel and he rarely seeks a second opinion or guidance once he’s announced his resolution, often refusing to speak on the subject more.

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon of Choice: Military Rifles and Pistols
Combat Function: Normally Captain Rigg is at the helm of a ship or commanding a small task force, where he is most useful as a commander, strategist, and diplomat. He is steadfast and confident, using years of experience and tactical acumen to see his ship through a conflict.

However in combat he is not helpless, as a trained and experienced military officer he has the same skills as one would expect a soldier or warrior to possess, such as marksmanship, the skilled usage with various weapons, armed and unarmed melee combat on a level associated with other experienced soldiers but not to the level associated with the various Special Forces and Elite units throughout the galaxy.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Saul Rigg was born on Corellia in 804 ABY, where he was raised by military parents in a strict household. As an only child, Rigg spent much of his youth in relative solitude, moving from post to post around Republic Space in his teenage years and spending most of his time in school. By the time he reached adolescence his decision to join the Armed Forces had already been made, it was just a matter of coming of age to enlist. As a compromise with his parents, Saul agreed to attend a military academy on Corellia and participate in its Officer Training program rather than enlisting in CorSec or the Corellian Defense Force.

Upon his graduation, Saul’s military career began with numerous mundane deployments and assignments as he began the slow rise through the ranks. Rigg proved himself capable, able to adapt and overcome through a combination determination and ingenuity, as well as able to absorb the wisdom of those around him and apply it to his situation. When the Galactic Republic established itself as a major galactic government, Saul began his career with the Omega Protectorate where he was able to travel across the galaxy and assist in the exploration and conflicts that arose. As an ensign, Rigg participated in the war with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and later in several much smaller campaigns during the years following the end of the Gulag Plague.

He participated in the war between the One Sith and Galactic Republic for a time, serving as a Commander during the early stages of the war, including the Protectorate’s attempt to reclaim Corellia, and later as part of a military exchange operation that had him and other serving as crew members aboard Republic ships that were in desperate need of experienced officers as casualties began to pile up. At the outbreak of the Netherworld turmoil, Rigg and the task force he was attached to found itself cut-off from the collapsing Omega Protectorate. They were instead forced to regroup with the 17th Galactic Republic Fleet commanded by Nemo Ven, like so many others. When the Galactic Alliance formed, Saul elected to remain with them due to the One Sith’s occupation of Corellia, finding himself serving as a First Officer and later as a Ship Captain throughout the assault against the One Sith Empire and later the during the Omega War.

After the collapse of the Galactic Republic and the One Sith Empire just prior to the Omega conflicts, Captain Rigg began requesting leave to return home to the broken Corellian system only to find himself unable to break away from his duties for any significant period of time. Following years of constant conflict as part of the Galactic Alliance, Saul resigned and returned to his homeworld of Corellia to assist with its reconstruction. Due to his experience he was commissioned as a Ship Captain within the Corellian Defense Force to assist with the protection of the system and its interests during the long reconstruction efforts being spearheaded by Vanir and Arceneau Trading.
