Intent: To provide protection for the user, along with filtering air in rougher environments.
Development Thread: Not yet, will make one if necessary.
Manufacturer: Kelliak Arms and Armor Company
Model: Caedo. Each different sub-class of the Caedo series has another word added to the title. For example, in this case it's Moeror, or Grief. Other sub-classes in the future could include: Caedo of Caliga (Darkness), Caedo of Vereor (Fear), Caedo of Nex (Death), and etc. This was done so the name of the suit would resemble what the person inside was, or should at least try to be, a Killer of all that is wrong in the galaxy.
Affiliation: Ven'Rain Sekairo, designs will be given to Omega Pyre for continued production if proven useful.
Modularity: Mainly colors/decals to show rank or identity, but the amount of underlay can be changed based off temperature or user preference.
Production: Minor. One for Ven and limited production of others for OP.
Material: The thin under layer is made of mesh and some leather, while the main protection comes from the matrix armor and durasteel layers. To allow the user to see, a V-shaped visor was put into the helmet, made of transparisteel. Straps that held the armor to the user are made of flexisteel.
Description: “Beautiful, isn’t it? The Caedo of Moeror was designed to provide protection to the user while keeping a tough, semi-intimidating appearance. Several design features were added to help eliminate problems that previous armor series had, such as lack of plating around the neck. Every suit in the Caedo line has a raised wrap of durasteel that goes from the back of the shoulders to partway up the helmet, preventing weapons from striking the neck from behind. Meanwhile the helmet’s ‘chin’ goes a bit down before connecting to the mesh underlay, effectively covering the front. This does partially limit some motions of the neck, but the manufacturer decided it was worth it.

Throughout the whole suit a mix of matrix armor (dyed and painted to get rid of the usually ugly colors) and durasteel makes up the armor. Below this is an underlay, ranging from thin mesh to thicker cloth and leather. If you look back above, you’ll see the holo-image displays the latter styling, as the model shown is wearing a heavier material on the legs. This brings up the issue of the back of the legs being less protected then everywhere else. The rear of the thighs relies on thick padding and partial coverage by durasteel to protect it, and is one of the suit’s weaker points. Meanwhile the calves are nearly fully covered by the boots, with flexisteel used to hold it onto the user.

Bends in the armor along with smaller, more flexible plates allow both arms and legs to be bent to some extent; though the further bent the arms are the less protection the elbows have. It would take a lot of force, but one could theoretically pull part of the plating off if they got a good enough grip on the bent elbow guard, allowing an attacker to get to the arms, or even have a better chance of tearing off the shoulder guard.

As with the legs, the back of the upper arms are slightly less protected then the front. There is a gap between plating, making that part of the skin only covered with the underlay (which depending on the thickness could or could not withstand a direct hit from a blaster bolt). Other weak points include the groin, where plating is thinnest for comfort, hands, where gauntlets don’t cover the full fingers and leave mesh exposed, and face shield of the helmet. The visor of the helmet is thinner to allow better vision, but makes it easier to break, giving an attacker access to the eyes and nose of the user.

Other features of the Caedo of Moeror include the helmet’s HUD system (details below) and minor air filtration system. The filtration uses stored gas (held within the back plate, though not much, and only used in environments with bad or poisonous air) and a small series of filters to clean air, or mix it with enough of regular oxygen to keep the user breathing. It can work in type 2 air, and last a short time in type 3 air. Meanwhile the HUD users sensors on the suit to track up to ten different targets at once, project the users voice/alter it instantly, help with targeting, keep track of distance traveled, and depending on location access small maps of nearby areas. The helmet’s systems also involve a built in com, activated with a short voice command. Another voice command automatically disconnects the helmet from the rest of the chest and neck armor, and unlocks the rest of the suit so the user can take it off. Otherwise someone would have to know the suit’s design to find the button on the back of the neck, on part of the helmet that would disconnect the two, and then manually remove the other pieces of armor. Though this would usually only be down if the user required medical attention, as they can take it off themselves it practically every other case.

Energy cells located in the cheeks of the helm power the HUD and filtration, and can be recharged at a charging station. Backup energy cells can be held in one of the pockets of the utility belt that comes with the armor, usually two or three. Two cells are used to keep the power running, though if one dies the other can keep it going for some time, albeit it will be a little slower with reactions to commands. When the cells are fully charged they can last up to 6 hours, long enough to hopefully resolve a combat situation. Replacing the cells takes roughly four or five minutes for one person, and requires the helmet be removed first.

The Caedo of Moeror can withstand repeated blaster fire, some lesser explosions, and some cutting attacks. However it cannot stand up against a lightsaber for long, and is not recommended for use against Jedi, Sith, or other force users.” Manufacturer’s full description.
