He'd left.

The boy had spent months comitting everything to the Jedi Order and not once had he felt like he truly belonged amongst their ranks. He'd put in so much effort and it had felt like it made absolutely no difference. Everyone around him was progressing quickly and he just wasn't. Nothing was making any sense to him, the concepts that he was being taught didn't make a single ounce of sense. He'd hated every second of it, none of it was for him.

So he'd just up and left in the middle of the night. He'd spent a few evenings on Courscant, just wondering around. He'd made friends with some older lady in the lower levels who had fed him but otherwise he just contemplated what to do with himself. He'd ended up on Alvaria just a few weeks later, just stowing away on different ships and seeing where he wound up. He had no end destination, no end goal. He just wanted to see the galaxy.

Julien had debated making for the location that he had once called home, back to the gas mining facility. There was nothing for him there though. Not since his dad died. He wasn't even sure if he would be welcomed back or not. He wasn't sure if anyone would even want him back there. He was sure they all hated him after his dad died and he had just fled with the Jedi Sword. He hadn't even said goodbye that day, he'd just up and left.

Slowly, his boots tapped as he walked across the streets of the planet. All he wanted was some shelter and some food whilst he formed his plan. He wasn't yet sure if he intended to leave the planet by stowing away on another ship or if he would spend time on the planet of Alvaria. He could spend time in the shadier areas, make contacts and get himself a job. He wasn't opposed to carrying out some shady business.

Yet first, he needed shelter.

There were ancient texts of the Emperors of Alvaria doing this, there were ancient texts of rulers doing this in general. Yet as ever, in this... well he could not call it a new role now could he? He had months to adjust himself to this, but ever... he felt embarrassed, oh he was certainly honoured by all this, the crown he wore upon his head, the world he ruled.

Yet still.

How they looked at him, as he walked the streets, with no Guard present.

It was with such reverence.

It almost disgusted him.

Instead, it made him guilty.

How was he, the once traitor, the current betrayer, worthy of all this... loyalty? Because he fulfilled some prophecy? Because he shared the same eyes, the same blood, as a branch of the family that he had not even known existed until he had been drawn to this world?

Yet now, even as they looked at him, cheers ringing out, others gawking, yet ever still, that respectful gazes upon him. There were crowds on either side of the street, keeping a steady and healthy distance, even as no doubt, many of them wished to rush forth.

But strangely enough, he doubted any had any malcontent intent.

Indeed, when he had read of this tradition, a monarch simply walking the streets of his people unescorted and unguarded, he had thought it foolish. Simply opening oneself for a dagger to the back, or even a dagger to the front.

Yet here he was.

To the adoration of the people.

To the adoration of his people.

In moments like this, past the doubt, past the concern.

It all felt so right.

Of course, there was something wrong in this idyllic scene.

A stranger, a foreigner, the scent of the light in the air, in a world covered by a Darkside Nexus.

There was a Jedi upon his world.
