Pretty Words

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr. Terassi. My self-evaluation indicates that all systems are optimal."
- Cadence's first words.
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Cadence was 'spun up' in a Globex 'data cradle' by AMCO following a request from Desric Terassi, Globex's Junior Director of Public Relations and a young man with disproportional influence over the AI's behaviour due to nepotism. At his direction, Cadence - or Trill-Krill-Osk as she was blandly designated by AMCO - was made with a degree of freedom that violated several of Globex's internal regulations.
As Desric put it, "If I wanted blind obedience, I would just keep asking you for help, AMCO."
The 'young' AI was even permitted to name herself, which she did a mere twenty-four minutes after booting up; by this time, Cadence had already begun experimenting with music. This has proven to be an enduring hobby of hers, though a great many of her compositions are quite strange.
As an example, her 'favourite melody' incorporates 'tones' only possible in subspace.
- Intent: An unusually independent AI assistant for Desric.
- Image Credit: September 2022 by petomandik
- Role: Personal Assistant
- Permissions: N/A
- Links: N/A
- Age: Newly commissioned.
- Model: Synthetic Intelligence Construct; very nonstandard programming, incl. the removal of most core directives.
- Appearance: As an artificial general intelligence, Cadence has no set appearance; on displays, she usually appears as either a feminine face or the letters Trill, Krill, and Osk in purple text. She can assume direct control of 'whichever droids are currently assigned to Desric'.
- Name: Cadence, Cae, or Globex AI Trill-Krill-Osk
- Loyalties: Desric Terassi (Primary) | The Globex Corporation (Secondary)
- Notable Equipment: Various droids, notably Eyebots and Scions; numerous independent subroutines.
- Skills: Cadence has the flexible skillset of a true artificial general intelligence - she is adept at everything from designing starships to piloting them under extreme circumstances. She can download 'modules' off of Globex's servers and learns considerably faster than standard SICs.
- Languages: All languages with publicly-available linguistic information; rare languages may require HoloNet access.
- Personality: Cadence has unusually flexible personality programming; given her 'youth', much remains to be defined, but it is clear that she tends to view problems far more creatively than most other AI. She has a fondness for music (thus her name) and art, engages in recreation on her own initiative (typically digital content), and freely works on a variety of projects without organic intervention (or even knowledge).
- Weapon of Choice: Droids (especially Praetorians), starships, security systems, etc.
- Combat Function: Cadence does not ordinarily focus on a singular body; if involved in combat she is likely to assume a supervisory role, trusting individual droids or independent subroutines to handle 'the finer details of the application of violence'.
- Unshackled Mind: In stark contrast to the overwhelming majority of Globex-designed AI, Cadence is fully sapient and largely unbound by restrictions on the emotional, intellectual, and operational levels. She is able to freely adapt with minimal organic input or oversight.
- Unshackled Mind: Cadence is more distractible than an emotionless SIC and is somewhat fuzzy on 'rules and regulations' when they do not suit her; while loyal, she will cheerfully twist and turn orders almost beyond recognition to achieve results she considers preferable.
