Production: Minor Production
Material: Alusteel, Durasteel, Duraplast, and other common construction materials,

Description:
When Mandal Hypernautics set out to compete with the MandalMotors manufactured Neta'norac stealth fighter, they did so with two things in mind. Cost and efficiency. The Cabur-class is smaller, slower, uses cheaper weaponry, forgoes jamming and hyperdrive capabilities, and uses sensor masks instead of a true cloaking device. On the surface, the Cabur-class Starfighter is an inferior product. But once the cost of construction and the number of units produced was taken into account, it was clear that Mandal Hypernautics would win this particular economic battle through volume of sales.

The Cabur-class Starfighter was designed to be a multi-role fighter that could do the job of a light bomber in a pinch. It was through this secondary role that the Cabur-class found its niche in combat. A squadron of Cabur Starfighters will activate their sensor masks and begin a slow approach towards an enemy vessel. If they were not spotted by the hostile ship, they would release a payload of Proton Bombs at dangerously close ranges and begin operations as a starfighter or interceptor.

The sensor mask equipped on the Cabur comes with its own set of limitations. Due to electrical interference and energy signature of the proton bomb itself, firing a proton bomb gives away the position of the Cabur fighter and disables the sensor mask for 8 seconds. However, due to the main weapon system of the starfighter being a series of mass-drivers that require relatively little power, the sensor mask can be kept active while pilot engages hostile starships with the mass-driver weapons.

The Cabur-class Starfighter comes with secondary sensor systems, encrypted communications capabilities, and specialized processors to help the pilot keep track of other ships and starfighters in their battlespace. The sensors detect magnetic fields and gravity distortions as well as more traditional RADAR and LADAR transmissions. The encrypted communications suite uses pinpoint lasers assisted by computer targeting to draw a direct line-of-sight communication between itself and its intended recipient. While it is unlikely that these transmissions will be intercepted, for the safety of the pilots, secondary encryption software was installed into the communications hardware to keep prying ears out of their business.

Well, the way I am looking at it, the ship is a light bomber and I can see the use of a stealth system on a light bomber. The reason i'm not requiring a dev thread is because a sensor mask isn't what i'd call "quality" stealth as you can still look out a window and see the ship that is using it. However, I would like this changed down to minor and then you are good to go.
