  • Blaster Actuating Module - A simple upgraded blaster actuating module with custom firmware and a stronger electromagnetic accelerator that provides a more powerful blaster shot that often penetrates further into a target than weapons without this module.

  • Stopping Power - The C-14's strength comes in the form of its stopping power due in part to its Blaster Actuating Module.

  • Unwieldy - The C-14 Heavy Blaster Pistol is an unwieldy weapon even in the best circumstances. Its size, being nearly comparable to the smallest of Blaster Carbines - means that its most effective when fired in both hands.

  • Oversized - The C-14 is too large to be truly considered a blaster pistol, though also too small to be a true Blaster Carbine. Its size requires a special holster just for the weapon; and even then its been noted that it was easy for these holsters to become snagged on objects or otherwise hinder the movement of an individual.

  • Reliability Issues - Overtime the C-14 begins to develop reliability issues the more frequently it is used. This is due to the strain that is caused on the weapon because of the Blaster Actuating Module.

The C-14 Heavy Blaster Pistol is a design based off of the older C-10 Dragoneye Blaster Pistol; with various changes to further separate it from what is effectively its predecessor weapon. The C-14 is slightly larger, being that while it is too small to be considered a Blaster Carbine, it is also too large to be considered a true Blaster Pistol. Its size isn't its only drawback - as it can be unwieldy to many individuals - often requiring the use of both hands to operate the weapon properly; while also experiencing reliability issues due to the Blaster Actuating Module.

These reliability issues often present themselves in rapid overheating of the weapon, jamming or otherwise failure to fire - a problem that is often compounded when it happens during a heated firefight and not on a firing range. However; even with these problems, the C-14 has gained a following among those that often reach for the heavier weapons that pack a larger punch. Due to that same Blaster Actuating Module that causes it so many problems, the C-14 boasts a high stopping power - often capable of tearing through the lightest of armors and putting a dent in some of the heavier variants.

The C-14 shines most in situations that can quickly turn south or need a show of force to keep things in order - for example, dropping an individual in one shot to cause a larger crowd to think twice; or making a group of individuals believe that a smaller force has access to heavier weapons than their intelligence suggested. It has also become a favored weapon of law enforcement entities on fringe worlds in the Galaxy, providing a sheriff and their deputies a weapon with a heavier punch than the pirates or bandits they often face off against have available.
