Dear [member="Dresden M'koor"] ,

Greetings, we at Malvern Shipping & Trade are very interested in pursuing a number of contracts and deals with The New Techno Union. As you may know we are a medium-sized Company based out of Serenno that deals in starship production, trade shipping, as well as contract shipping. We understand a business such as yours could easily make use of our resources and would welcome such a deal. We would like to invite you to Serenno for a proposal discussion, we hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely, Count Adron Malvern
CEO of Malvern Shipping and Trade
Archlord of The Dominion
Viscount of the Republic of Greater Serenno

Dresdan's lips curled into a grin as he read the message, a similar concept had been running through his mind but he hadn't known the right way to contact the Count until now. His fingers swiftly ran over the keyboard before him to give a rapid response

Dear Count Adron Malven ,

Greetings, your proposal has been thought over and weighed and has been found incredibly beneficial. I am aboard my corvette now and have set the coordinates to Serenno, expect me within the hour. Your ship manufactoring capability can certainly be beneficial to the N.T.U. and I believe our droid and armor production can both assist you, your personal guard, and the Dominion. I would also like to talk about potentially buying property from you, or one of the other counts on Serenno for a laboratory and droid production center, I hope you find this acceptable. Of course, the details can be sorted upon my arrival. I also ask that you please ignore the escort of five B9 battle droids, a personal guard as well as a way of displaying future opportunities which will blossom from any future agreement we may conceive.

Sincerely, Dresden M'koor
CEO of the New Techno Union
Patriarch of the M'koor Household
And with that, Dresden did indeed tell his B9 droid crew to head towards Serenno. Ariving soon after in his CR-90 Corvette, The Inquisitor.

Returning to his terminal to find that Dresden had not only responded but accepted the idea of a meeting put the young Count in good spirits. "Good." He muttered before tapping his comm device on the side of his ear. "Captain Nuana, we'll be expecting some Company in about an hour. Have the cooks prepare a nice lunch for me."

"As you wish, my lord." The Rodian security Captain replied. Standing to his full height Adron adjusted the cloak he was wearing before making his way out of his office.

The wait for Dresden to arrive was a short one to be sure. Blackgate Manor, the home of House Malvern, was put in a slight rush for the expecting guest. Set on the side of a mountain it was an icy, yet impressive homestead. Adron and a small squad from his security team stood by the landing pads with anticipation. The security officers were not necessarily a precaution as a more ceremonial display of a Count's influence. An age old and undying tradition among his family.

As The Inquisitor came in for a landing Adron awaited with his hands clasped firmly behind his back. He was very excited to see what this afternoon would bring. When Dresden finally presented himself Adron would offer a respectful incline of his head. "Welcome to Blackgate Manor, it is an honor to receive you."

Dresdan grinned as he saw the count, striding down the ramp with his small detachment of B9s and the steady tapping of his cane he thanked him "Yes, and it is an honor to be here in your impressive home, I assure you." He strode forwards to his future businesspartner and thrust his hand out to shake "I must apologize for such short notice as to my arrival, but I have many other meetings to attend to across the galaxy this week and I felt that we should actually have time instead of rushing through the negotiations and making unnecessary mistakes.

[member="Adron Malvern"]

Taking Dresden's hand into his own he gave the man a soft nod as he shook his hand.

"Please, think nothing of it. I have plenty of time today and a better time could not be chosen. But please, let us move inside it's far too cold out her for me to keep a guest waiting." He said, gesturing back to the manor.

With Dresden's B9's and Adron's security team in tow the two made their way to the main villa. It had an almost Gothic look to it but was pleasantly maintained. "I was very excited to hear the Techno Union would be open to talks about a contract, business has been good but I believe a partnership between the two of us could drastically raise profits for the both of us."

Once they made it inside they were escorted to a type of dining hall where the meetings were to take place. The air was filled with the smell of cooking food and each of the men had a glass of Corellian wine poured and waiting for them. "I hope you are hungry, my chefs are some of the finest on Serenno. We can eat after we have concluded business."

Adron took his seat before looking to his guard staff. "Dismissed." He ordered, all but two of the soldiers made their way out of the dining hall and back to their posts. Once Adron took a seat he let out a slight exhale before clearing his throat. "Excuse me for being dry but let us get under way, yes?"

"Now I understand the Techno U- excuse me. The New Techno Union is based out of Coruscant? That alone will be very advantageous for the both of us." The Count stated.

A moment passed and one of the security officers laid a smile file of papers in front of the Count, which he took into his hands and gave a quick look. "You specialize in Droids, Armor, and Weapons, good ratings this year but not the best history..."

"So let us start with what I can offer you. First of all your merchandise needs to be shipped does it not? And with that shipping it needs guaranteed protection from pirates, bounty hunters, mercenaries, rival companies or whatever else can come out of the woodwork. My company can guarantee shipping for all products. You will have the full use of our shipping fleet as well as our trade defense fleet when it comes to such things. We will pay for fuel, refitting, and even product insurance out of our pocket. We only ask for twenty-five percent of each shipments gross income. Meaning if we ship a battalion of droids that you sold for a million credits, we pocket two-hundred and fifty thousand of those credits." Adron stated.

"Now, let's say you want to do the shipping yourself because our fee is considerable. We can either sell you ships or you can rent them as you need. To sell a ship we will give you a thirty percent discount on all merchandise, provided you do the same. However, the crew, fuel, and fitting will be left to you and will not be supplied of course." He continued.

"If you find yourself in a tight spot and are in need of renting a ship or fleet, and this is the least desirable option. It will be similar to holding a fleet contract with us except the cost is no longer twenty-five percent of the income but thirty as well as you paying for fuel and fitting. We will only provide the ships, crew, and cover product insurance."

The Count took his wine glass into his hand, taking a shallow sip before letting off a soft exhale. "So let the negotiations begin." He said with a smile.

"Ah, 'tis good I didn't catch you during any of Serenno's famous count negotiations then!" He says jovially as he follows the count into the manor with the tapping of his cane in rythim with the marching of his droids.

"I must admit Count Malvern, that I was wholy planning on coming to you for a trade deal sooner rather than later, but business and what I assumed to be your busy schedule prevented me from attempting to set up negotiations, I was quite pleased when you reached out." Dresden remarked as they entered the dining hall, he takes a deep breath in through the nose and a satisified grin follows, pleased by the pleasant auroma, it had been a long time since he had actually eaten a proper meal, his blitzkrieg method of business, dashing to and fro across the galaxy to buyers before competitors had a chance was tiring, and kept him away form home and hearth. Although he was a bit saddened to hear that food would wait until afterwards, he supposed it only logical and simply gave a brief nod and grunt.

As the Count's security removed itself form their presence, he gave a lazy wave of his hand signaling his droids to leave, all of which do other than one. This one's purpose was unclear until after Dresden was given a seat, in which case he took off his coat and slung it about the shoulders of the droid, and handed it his cane for safe keeping before taking his seat. "Yes, the sooner we get to business, the sooner we can both make a profit. And that by far is something to feast over." He jokes, chuckling at his humor.

He then sat and watched quietly through the man's several proposals, a small amused smile crossing his face the entire time and by the end, Dresden knew two things for certain, he was going to enjoy this, and he felt the count and he were going to be fine friends.

"You've certainly put a lot of thought into this haven't you?" He once more jokes, business was important, but humor never hurt to ease over the initial awkwardness of negotiations. "First I'd like to say, that the N.T.U. is in need of purchasing a large transport fleet of customized vessels for it's droid armies and security forces. I was hoping that Malvern Shipping and Trade could be persuaded to construct such a fleet for us in exchange for a twenty percent discount on all future purchases of the B series battle droids, for both you personally, and your company. We of course will pay for these ships as well, but I was hoping we could pay only fifty percent the price instead of full retail value." He paused, letting the proposition sink in as he knew the numbers were a little over the top, but should he accept it, he could view it as a gracious sign of good will, and if he haggled, than he would accomplish something either way. After the brief pause he nodded, continuing "As for the shipping of our products and the defense of these shipments, I see only gain for both of us if I were to use you as a contractor to do so, but I'm afraid that 25% of the sale is a bit too much and my family may have my head." He once more chuckled, this whole arangement of good fortunes having put him in a good mood. "Lower it to 15% and I assure you, that we have a deal."

@Adron Malvern

Listening to Dresden speak he took a moment to inhale a scent of the wine they were drinking. It had a sweet aroma to it that only continued in brightening the Count's day.

The initial deal to be listed by the man was one that Adron could not help but smile at. "Fifty percent is a sizable discount. Now considering you'd be buying in bulk I am more inclined to agree but...." He trailed off, taking a look at the paperwork below him. "I am afraid fifty percent is too high of a cut, but I will meet you at forty percent. In all honesty I wouldn't agree to such a thing unless I didn't already have an interest in your droids. I assume the offer is for weaponry and armor as well?"

Taking another sip of his wine he offered the man a kind smile as he continued once more. The man's counter to Adron's offer was understandable if not expected. A quarter of your sales for any service was a considerable fee, however the Count was happy to hear the man was interested in forming a contract with his company.

"Twenty." He said in response, a smile still covering his face. "Twenty percent and the first shipment is on the house. A sign of good will." He inclined his head in turn.

Dresden's hand reaches out toward's the glass as he thinks this over, bringing the rim to his lips and taking a sip of the violet liquid before he gives a brief nod

"Sounds reasonable. Of course, any shipment that is lost due to any sort of accident or your inability to secure and protect as promised will be completely reembursed?" He knew that his shipments actually getting destroyed under Malvern Shipping and Trade was probably only going to happen on rare occassions, but he needed assurance that the count would make certain that the cargo got to where it was supposed to go.

"As for the percentage off of your product.. I can agree to fourty percent. And I can add armor and weapons to the list if you don't mind a few exceptions. All my current products the percent off will apply, but future products may be too expensive to give you the full discount, so for said future select items I'll give you a ten percent discount." He takes another sip of wine before grinning at the man.

[member="Adron Malvern"]

Adron offered the man a brief nod in response to his question. "Of course. Paid out of pocket by the Company, our insurance policy is one of the best in the business." He boasted, another smile finding it's way over his face.

"Ten percent seems to be a slight jump from the forty which is so charitable. But it can be managed....if you could be so kind to bring the price up to twenty percent?" He said, his ability to haggle never failing. As they spoke one of the security officer's walked over to Adron, holding his hand out to the man. Adron looked to the papers below before taking a pen into his hand. He wrote over the papers a few times before handing the folder off to the security officer.

"Now. While I give you time to consider that, consider this as well. Your new Techno Union is based out of Coruscant, leaving you with very little access to the outer rim, from my standpoint. Tell me, would your company be interested in an expansion? Perhaps building a factory out in the Outer Rim? Speaking as the Archlord to The Dominion, we would be happy to sponsor such a project." The Count took his wine glass into his hand, sipping it softly with a slight smile. "In fact, we are interested in splitting the cost of creating such a site with you. If you would open your stock to us, which you have already done, and...offer The Dominion a ten percent cut of all New Techno Union Business done East of the Mandalorian system."

"Before you consider your answer think of the Shipping and Trade savings you'll have alone. It is much cheaper to fly a fleet to Vjun or Bimmiel than it is to fly it all the way to Coruscant. Not to mention your operation would be under our protection and we would not even charge you for it. All we ask is ten percent of the business for that sector, a nominal fee really." Adron said, downing the last of his wine before another servant came to refill the glass.

Dresden sits and listens patiently, mulling this over in his head and nodding as he takes another sip of wine

"I can agree to twenty percent.." He wasn't actually expecting Adron to accept 10%, but it was at least worth a try.. but what Malvern had next to say obviously catches him off guard as his eyes widen and a grin spreads over his lips

"I will admit that supplying the outerrim has proven difficult.. And I certainly am looking for an expansion. Do you have a specific planet in mind?"

He finds the terms acceptable, especially since he'll be servicing dozens of planets, and even more when the dominion grows..

[member="Adron Malvern"]

Happy to hear that Dresden agreed with the raise of twenty percent Adron nodded his head acceptably.

"Bimmiel, a dry wasteland perfect for one of your factories. We have several settlements but nothing of note on that planet. Of course you can also create a remote office on Ession, if you so wish it. In the past Ession has proven a problem to us, but under my command it has been reformed into the shining example of modern society that Serenno exudes." The Count stated with pride.

"Like I said we would be more than happy to split the cost of creating such a factory for the fee I mentioned. I believe it would be best for both parties interests, don't you agree?" He questioned.

Dresden mulls this over before giving a brief nod

"I believe we have a deal. I'll have my offices contact yours to decide how much money exactly both of us will be spending on this new factory on Bimmiel. I promise neither you nor the dominion will regret making this decision." He grins at the man, looking at the B9 droid holding his cane and overcoat before back at Adron "And how many droids do you see the dominion purchasing?"

[member="Adron Malvern"]

Adron nodded at Dresden's words, smiling at the thought of a partnership with the man.

To Dresden's question the Count merely sloshed the wine in his glass for a moment before answering. "Around five hundred thousand units." He said, sipping the wine. "The Dominion grows faster than we can train soldiers. While personally I believe in living organisms as troops, order must be maintained and an army must be upheld. So we will bulk our lines with your droids." He completed.

"In the event of stress we may find it necessary to expand our order. Also once we have reformed as a Galactic Republic I am sure our needs will be...substantial." He said, standing from the table, taking a moment to look around the dining hall.

"Now, my friend, I must ask you another question, yet I do not ask this as the head of my company but the ruler of my lands."

"Our enemies, the Sith. The Primeval, Sith Ascendancy, The Resurgent Empire, The Galactic Empire. Deplorable men who have seen hundreds of innocent civilians die in their wake. Men who would just as soon cut my head off than pursue peace......do you deal with these men as well?" He asked, his tone turning more serious.

The dreaded question, the answer as no, he had no deals with any of the factions he listed, not to his knowledge anyway, but dresden cared little for politics and he was hoping he wouldn't need to make any guarentees. He held the strong belief that money was money, no matter where it came from, and on the free-market, anyone was looking for a fast easy way to get thousands of soldiers that you didn't need to feed, and dresden was always more than happy to supply.

"Not to my knowledge." He states clearly, before expounding on what that meant exactly "If they came to me under an alias or not representing their faction directly than I may have, but I have no records of any deals with these factions you speak of." He decidev to not directly answer if he would deal with them in the future..

[member="Adron Malvern"]

The Count took a moment to consider the man's words before exhaling softly. "I believe you, Thank you. Of course I would ask you consider not selling to any who would use your droids to destroy me, but that is not how business is conducted. Besides if they don't buy them from you they'll buy them from someone else. I merely asked in the interest of protecting an integrity between us." He said, returning to his seat.

"Now, putting the unpleasantness behind us. I have compiled the details of our meeting into a folder." He gestured to his security officer who would walk over to Dresden, placing the folder on the table for the man to read.

"That folder will be sent to my office where they will write up an official contract, for the both of us to review of course." He assured.

Taking his seat, and sipping the wine in his hands Adron smiled at the man. "If everything is fitting we can seal the contract and begin working together as early as a week. Tell me if you notice anything wrong."

The documents would be a simple rough draft of the terms discussed over the evening, noting the key bargains made by the two during the haggling. If Dresden found everything appropriate there would be a line at the bottom, awaiting his signature of authenticity for the meeting. "Paperwork. The Businessman's armada." Adron would jest.

Dresden chuckles at the joke, but reads over the documents thoroughly before he's satisfied that they're accurate, whipping out a pen from his pocket he signs the document with a flurry of movements before offering it back to the security guard and pocketing the pen.

"I'm afraid at this stage in my business' development, I have neither the opportunity nor the luxary to turn down any offers. Perhaps in the future." He gives Adron a grin, before taking a sip of wine.

[member="Adron Malvern"]

The Count would respond with a kind-hearted chuckle before glancing to one of the waiters. "We're ready to eat now." He said, causing the man to turn back into the kitchen.

The Security officer made his way out of the office while Adron raised his wine glass to the man. "Well, to a successful transaction and many more to come." He said, offering the toast before downing another sip of wine. Moments later the door's to the kitchen were thrown open, several severs made their way out to the table, bringing some of the most exotic and delectable foods that the house had to offer.

"Didn't think we'd be eating cheese and crackers for the evening did you?" He chuckled before watching as the food's continued to flood in. It would seem as if every selection would could consider would be brought in front of the Counts.

"Whatever isn't eaten by my house is gifted to the orphanages of Carnnia, so when i have an excuse to cook i make my staff whip up a ridiculously large meal." He explained the incredibly large selection. Placing his napkin over his lap the Count would begin to fix a few items for his plate. "Please, enjoy."

Dresden grinned at the large selection "Very generous of you." he states, but whether he's impressed with getting to eat this much, or his assistance to the orphans is unclear, but either way he sorts out items onto his plate before beggining to eat, obviously very satisfied with the meal.

[member="Adron Malvern"]

The two would enjoy their meals, having ample time to partake in the numerous selections laid before them. As they finally came to a conclusion Adron cleared his throat, downing the last of the wine that was left in his glass. "Well, my friend. I would not keep you any longer then is necessary. I know you are a busy man." The Count stood, glancing to the security officer who stood in the corner. He gestured towards Dresden with a nod of his head.

"But first...." The Count said, gesturing to a box that the security officer had tucked underneath his arms.

The security officer produced a ceremonial rapier. Created from a fine metal it was a beautiful blade, seeming to be as sharp as a Rancor's tooth. The hilt to the blade was black, with silver metals accenting the pommel. At the bottom of the weapon was a black gemstone, embedded into the base of the pommel. "The nobility of Serenno often carry such tokens to formal events, social functions, and what have you. Consider it a gift, from one friend to another."

"A fine gift fit for nobility, am I getting promoted to the rank of count?" He asks jokingly but obviously appreciates the blade as he takes it with a slight bow, going to fasten it to his belt. He grins, giving a satisfied nod when it is in place before looking back at Adron. "How exactly does one become Serenno nobility anyway?" A question brought about by his own curiosity, a symptom of a full stomach and a happy mind.
