NAME: Buruk Sur'haai or Burke Sur'haai to outsiders.
FACTION: Mando
RANK: N/A
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 31
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 6'2''
WEIGHT: 212 lbs.
EYES: Blue/Gray
HAIR: Light Brown, cropped short.
SKIN: Fair, tans easily in the outdoors.
FORCE SENSITIVE: No.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

+ Ahre Sur'haai (Keen Eyesight): Buruk has spent hours upon hours learning the fine art of hunting. This practice has increased his skill of perception, even the slightest movements detectable by his eye. He is also able to see through basic camouflage as he has spent countless hours tracking and hunting game.

+ Cayatitr Kalyr (Skilled with Weapons): As most Mandalorians, Buruk has spent his entire lifetime around weapons both hand to hand and ranged weapons. He does not have experience with all weapons systems though it can be reasonably assumed he would be a quick study.

+ Sagia'gr (Patience): He is not one to act quickly, rather observe the situation carefully before making a move. From childhood, his father taught him the value of waiting for the perfect moment to strike. He is willing to let what are marginally acceptable opportunities pass in favor of the precisely perfect one.

+ Pakod Atcara (Adaptability): As a child and younger adult he belonged to a small cadre of nomadic hunters and trappers. Due to this, and his hunting background, he has become skilled at adjusting to his environment and using changes around him to his advantage. He has become proficient at improvising when required.

- Emuurir kat Aruetii (Prejudiced): Buruk has a strong distaste for outsiders, the Aruetii. If forced to interact with them he does so grudgingly and does not hesitate to make known that he is not pleased with their presence.

- Sarnu'a va (Unforgiving) : He does not easily forgive. Due to a pivotal experience during his early adult life he finds it very difficult to forgive and often this causes him to burn bridges that may yet be mended, creating rifts. On the flip-side, he is desperately loyal to those he considers family and would even give himself as an ucara to save them.

- Urakto (Hard) : Long nights on the hunt and years of stoicism have made Buruk's exterior demeanor hard and he finds it difficult to empathize with people. He may see why someone could be hurt or sad, however where a person may choose to express these feelings, he merely accepts the situation and moves forward. This has caused him to hold onto feelings he should have let go, sometimes causing his bottled up emotions to come boiling over.

- Ruus (Poor Pilot) : As far as flying goes, Buruk has extremely limited experience and is able to (most of the time) manage just enough to take off and land his ship. He has no formal flight training and feels uneasy while aboard small ships or piloting them.

APPEARANCE:
Buruk stands 6'2'', his wide shoulders indicative of a heavy routine of labor and training. He is in excellent shape as his way of life is highly physically intensive. His eyes are a cold gray-blue color, shifting depending on the sunlight. His hands are calloused, indicative of a hard worker, his muscled arms well toned. His posture is strong, making him appear slightly taller than his already large stature. His hair is cropped short, a utilitarian gesture aimed at reducing the maintenance it requires. His face Is often covered in stubble but he never lets it grow into a true beard.

BIOGRAPHY:
Buruk was born to Dolph and Lirsa Sur'haai on Concord Dawn. His hakayrus belonged to a nomadic clan of hunters and trappers. Once a year they would take all the men off world on a tour of Mando space, hunting the famed creatures of their history. It was not uncommon for this to be a rite of passage for the younger men, earning their scars and stories. It was with this trip they earned their manhood... and their right to marry.

Buruk had never been one to jump in without reservation and so while the rest of his peers were getting married and starting families, he continued his oya'karir, his hunt. Something deep inside of him told him he was not ready, and that he should be patient. Trusting his instincts, he rejected marriage, pushing it off, always finding ways to avoid building that bridge. What resulted was his obsession with the hunt. As life progressed, he began study of cayata, of fighting. It was no longer enough for him to simply study the art of the hunt, for what good was finding your bakyaor if you weren't prepared to fight it to the death?

While his tribe had always been nomadic, they did travel off-world on occasion. His father, Dolph, owned a small vessel with which he would travel between planets, selling the pelts they harvested and returning with supplies on a regular basis. It wasn't anything special, but it did have a hyperdrive. He didn't know much about starships, but he knew enough about how to pilot them to keep himself from crashing. The ship originally had been a Pursuer-Class Enforcement Ship but the entire interior had been gutted and all the weapon systems had been stripped in favor of a single light blaster turret and a sub-par targeting computer.

As the years went on, Buruk began taking over for his father, who'd developed a nasty case of arthritis and could no longer bring goods to market. Instead, now Buruk shouldered the brunt of these responsibilities. He learned a few of the trade routes between the clans, made a few contacts with other merchants, and even managed to acquire a set of light duraplast plates. Nothing terribly special, but it had certainly saved his hide more than once during a hunt. It wasn't a 'set' of armor exactly, in all reality it was more an assortment of duraplast plates attached to a harness which would cover his most vital areas to prevent injury during a hunt.
