Burn Right | The Collective

When a group of people entered the sewers, Jaya metaphorically perked her ears for a moment at the sound. She was unintentionally hidden behind a piece of debris that has been settled there for what seemed to have been years. Her head poked out from the side as she went to see who the newcomers were, but they did not seem to be droids. She let out a sigh of relief at the sight, knowing they were not necessarily the enemy. There was still the chance, but expecting Jaya to be careful in situations where it was not certain whether someone was a friend or foe really was too much to ask. "Over here!" She spoke in a hushed tone, just to make sure she wasn't alerting anyone else.

Without any care in the world she moved into sight, flicking her head upwards for a split second as a way of greeting the oncomers. "I'd wait with moving in if I were you. The droids are on high alert at the moment." Having allies to work together with was something that Jaya was most definitely alright with, but she had a feeling it wasn't really up to her. Still, she continued explaining the situation. "The vast majority of them are currently on their way to another part of the facility, though. When someone busts open a wall it tends to draw attention." Also, it was totally not her who did it. "I know the smell here isn't really inviting, but it's probably the smart thing to do." Had Zoey not been the one who had come up with the plan, she would have been kicking ass in the facility instead of waiting in the sewers while destroying her sense of smell, but she also had to admit that it was also like she would've been dead by now had she not listened.

As they pressed on, Mara couldn't shake the feeling they were being watched. She thought it was the enemy, a possible scout sent out to keep an eye on them. But with the sudden commotion going on at the facility itself, she couldn't help but assume the main bulk of their forces would be distracted.

That was went Mariya made herself known, and Mara instantly raised her rifle aimed to fire. Despite the woman's words, the Agent didn't lower the weapon until her helmet's display confirmed the newcomer was indeed part of the Collective.

"Gauntlet has a point, stealth might be out of the picture - but getting inside the base without running into the enemy is just as beneficial."

Mara didn't hesitate in following behind Gauntlet. As they reached the sewer entrance, she knew the smell would be horrendous, and was even more grateful for using her armour for this mission.

She chuckled quietly, hearing Whisper exclaiming and scrambling to catch up with them.

"Not everything about this line of work is gonna be nice and clean, Whisper." Mara made the idle comment as they pushed through into the sewer tunnels. Again, she raised her rifle when she picked up the voice of Jaya Tandris. But a moment later it was lower; albeit hesitantly. There was far too many people jumping out of the shadows; or cloak in Mariya's case.

Something told her the young woman knew more.

She moves like she don't care
"Ah hell..."

Mariya gave a sigh as the old mercenary went off stubbornly into the sewers, and the rest of the group seem to be following. She unhooked her helmet hanging on her belt and attached her goggles on it before sliding the metal bucket over her head. She disliked wearing helmets. Her hair was going to be full of sweat by the time the mission was over and her ability to think seemed to falter at times with the stupid extra weight covering her head.

All the suffering was worth the price of the helmet's air filter function. The stench became much more bearable even though she found herself following the rest and entering the sewers. So far, [member="Gauntlet"], [member="Whisper"] and [member="Mara Kellarov"] were among the people who headed the same direction.

"Someone... is here."

She heard the whisper coming from [member="Jaya Tandris"] as the dark haired woman emerged. Another agent of the Collective. Seemed like her new employee was richer than she thought.

"Let's get moving on then as soon as the droids are being drawn away," she whispered softly. "I can't see through walls even with my goggles. But I could scout ahead discretely and see if there were any droids in front of us."

The mercenary was suited for the recon job with her cloaking capability and decided to volunteer. She cloaked herself again, walking slowly through the sewers. After proceeding a good distance of fifty metres, she communicated back to the rest via comms that everything seemed clear so far. However, the sewer had spilt into two tunnels. She waited for the rest to catch up and decide their next movement.

OCC mention: For others still alive and kicking, [member="Evoros"] the lady boss.
