Building Dreams

After the Silver Jedi had left Voss behind, Jairdain had stayed on the planet. A small amount of people had stayed there, but she didn't want to stay in the now former temple. So that meant she needed to construct a home for herself. She had done it before with her home on Iridonia twice. So she knew what she needed to do. However, she couldn't do it alone.

She walked the streets of Voss Ka. Here she searched for items she would need for her home as well as the supplies needed to build it. Many things could be found on the land but, there were some that could only be bought in town. So along with the supplied she also searched for at least one other person that could help her construct her home.

Being blind didn't help in seeing where to put something and that would be where this person came in. A guiding eye and hand in the construction as well as hopefully some muscle for the heavier items. Of course, Jairdain had the Force she could use, but still needed the help.

Asking around town, the people there helped her get what she needed except somebody to help her build. However, the word was about so maybe it would be heard by the right person.

Deciding to have dinner in town and see if anybody approached her, Jairdain sat outside of a restaurant and quietly ate her dinner.

Voss. A planet that Josef Ibn-Abad had been led to in search of a family descendant whom had brought great shame to their name. The force was something relatively new to the man of a most peculiar culture. For years he had been raised on the stories of demons and angels. Little did he know those stories were simple analogies for the sins of his families past. Sins he needed to rectify. It was just most unfortunate that the man he sought had left Voss not but a few days earlier for parts unknown. An affiliate of the Silver Jedi Josef was not so any information the natives of the planet had was sealed behind tight lips.

Raakia and Kilian had asked to stay a few days longer on the planet. Raakia wanted to learn more about the culture on Voss. Always the inquisitive, if there was something new to learn, she'd wantto absorb that information. Kilian was more into hands on things. Typically anything mechanical would catch her eye. Today she was intriqued by a set of speeders that locals seemed to use that ran on a unique engine configuration. While they were busy, Josef simply wandered about Voss-Ka.

It was during this wandering that Josef had caught wind of a woman in need of help constructing her home. She needed manual labor. If anything, this would served as an opportunity to give the Ibn-Abad name some good karma. He went vendor to vendor, following the here-say trail of the woman whom had passed through but minutes earlier.

It was then that he spotted her. Sitting quietly and eating her meal, Josef watched for just a moment. Nothing about her gave off a dangerous vibe. Call it the apprehension in the man but years of persecution and ridicule for his beliefs on Dantooine had raised internal walls that were hard to tear down.

Reluctantly Josef approached, "As-salaamu alaykum. My name is Josef (pron. Yo-sef), and I here that you are in need of some assistance?"

The feeling of somebody watching her was felt by Jairdain. Being blind though, she couldn't just look up and see who or where the person was. She could through the Force though and glanced around the area outside of where she was sitting. The man moved and approached her before she found him and introduced himself.

When he spoke his greeting, Jairdain just about dropped her fork in shock. His simple statement wasn't just that to her. For the first time in close to seven years, she heard her native language.

Unsure if she could stay on her feet, she remained seated, but invited him to join her.

"Alaykum salam. I am Jairdain Ismet and yes I'm going to be building a home outside of town."

Entirely surprised she could even speak, the words of her language came flowing out naturally.

"Do you need dinner, Josef?"
