Build Me An Army Worthy Of Redheads, Especially Delila, I Miss You Dells! [Siobhan + Tygaran Members

[member="HK-36"]

In other words, they'd be mass produced drones and thus fodder. Albeit fodder that was decently equipped and significantly less crappy than the frankly useless automatons the TradeFed had deployed centuries ago.

Siobhan nodded along. "I see. They'll serve well as a garrison force or when we need a mechanical wave to swarm the enemy or draw fire away from more elite forces," she remarked. Coincidentally, the First Order seemed to favour trench warfare and human/walker wave attacks.

"Good thing we're not a bunch of idiotic Neimoidians and equip our drones decently instead of just giving them crap. And don't slave them to a command ship that can be conveniently destroyed by a brat." Siobhan might be slightly racist against Neimoidians.

HK nodded at Siobhan's words,

"You know your history well, at least when it comes to TradeFeds. The drone portion of my army will be somewhat based off of their tactics and organization, it was not the worst and I can improve on it further, their biggest downside was the stupidity of their organic commanders and lack of decent technology for the most part."

It just happened that shortly after HK would infiltrate a Neimodian casino on Cato Neimodia and encounter many of their still functioning Confederate droid models, of course they would be no match for him and more or less just let him waltz into the place to the point where the Neimodian who was in charge of security just hand his station over to the droid simply because he thought he was there to relieve him of his shift.

HK snapped his fingers, sending out a wireless signal as doors in the sides of the hall below opened up and multiple shooting targets were rolled out, basically just graphite drums they would normally use for storing ammunition. The targets were set up in front of two drone phalanxes, one on the left, one on the right and the drones would open fire on them. The front line would kneel down, allowing the back one to fire, as they let loose hails of blaster bolts and hypervelocity pellets,

"Their accuracy is on average better than most organics because of the advanced sensors and trackers I mentioned before built into them, based on the models I use within my own body, it is limited by whatever weapon they use as you can do only so much when there is a high spread, for example in repeaters like the blast staves."

The droid explained as he watched the drones fire off at the targets,

"When stationary in phalanx formation and having the target in front of them only the first two lines can fire while the back ones function as replacement drones to move up and replace those in front should they fall, when moving the first line shifts slightly to the side to allow the second line to fire still. Should a target present themselves at an angle or from the side, flank lines can shift as well so that all the drones that can fire upon the target without hitting other drones can engage."

Basically they were programmed not to shoot each other in the back by accident,

"Changing to line formation allows more of them to fire at the same time but makes things awkward when moving through tighter quarters. We also developed a few more specialized drone models that will be employed alongside the infantry drones as support."

"I like military history. The Clone Wars, the various Sith conflicts, especially the Jedi Civil War, the Great Galactic one, Ruusan and so on. And anything involving the Eldorai, obviously. I figured it was time to get an education after I became Exarch," Siobhan remarked. One imagined that she'd feel a great deal of disdain for Snoke and his gang of fascist terrorists. Or the ridiculously named, impractical Starkiller Base.

The Countess was more educated than she sometimes acted, though her scholastic interests were rather narrow. To put it plainly, she was interested in academia that she considered to be useful from a practical standpoint, as opposed to seeking out knowledge purely for the sake of it.

She nodded as HK elaborated on the tactics the drones would utilise in combat. "I see. Updated version of the TradeFed droid army's tactics. The Angelii usually deploy in a phalanx formation at the start of battle. They use personal battle shields to cover themselves against projectiles, as they advance or bombard an enemy from afar. Those are in need of an upgrade, but it could be useful for your robots, too."

Droids were stronger than humans or elves, so they could easily carry a bolter and a personal shield. "I've also given thought to reverse-engineering the Gungans' mobile shield generator."
