Brushing the rust away (Force practice)

Veino took a long, slow breath, and ignited his light saber for the first time in nearly a year. The hum was comforting and partially familiar. Not at all what it used to be. Nor was his connection to the Force. He's been slacking, and had regressed apparently. No good at all.

He raised the light saber above his head, and turned it down to its lowest setting for safety. He exhaled slowly, letting his mind empty and fill with the Force. Then he began swinging his lightsaber. Slowly at first, but picking up speed. Not as precise as it should have been, nor as effiecent. He kept his mind empty, considering his future and what he might do with it, feeling for some possible guidance from the Force.

Nothing yet, though he had not expected any so far. He narrowed his mind, focusing on the blade dancing before him. It picked up speed as his muscles fell into their old habits again, stretching and loosening as the blade danced around him in an aggressive, yet graceful way, air humming as the blade sliced through it. Faster and faster on all sides. A small feeling of satisfaction appeared, then drifted away. Time to return to meditation.

He closed his eyes and turned inward again. Something nudged him inwardly, and he followed it, seeing a phantasm, himself perhaps? It was in Jensaraai armor, certainly. If only it would turn around....

Something stung him, and he yelped, eyes shooting open, ankle burning in pain. He'd clipped himself with the blade. He deactivated the blade shook his foot, face burning more than the injury. He should have practiced regularly! Not let his skill detoriate to a child's. He would have to throw himself back into his studies now. Maybe find a training partner or something....

@[member="Veino Garn "] "Visions....?" Sera had them every single day, every waking moment she lived the dream, she knew the likely signs, those that her order often had. Sera was always at meditation onboard the ship, most here would avoid her because in all honesty, non would ever follow her creed or doctrine, and some were actually scared of her. The red priestess's of Kintan had saved herself for Cronos's training but his absence had left a hole in her life, one that the force would close today.

Red robed always, simple robes but grand of color, from behind the other padawan she approached, "do you know of the gift they call farsight?" Sera smiled, pulling her hood back, revealing red upon red fiery hair, and ocean deep blue eyes that drunk in all aspects of the room, until there was no more to be seen.

Attempting a low level force stealth herself, she was maintaining that her connection to the force was absent, trying to mask it, it was a poor attempt because she was a novice, but she attempted it all the same. The beginnings of what she would eventually become, "How often do you have the visions," she smiled, as if she was talking to one of her order for the first time, it was a constant everyday occurrence from someone from her order, to deal with those who had the gift of the sight.

Veino turned, startled by @[member="Sera Inkari"]'s appearance. He hadn't noticed her approach, either through hearing or the Force. He shook his head blankly, unconsciously rubbing at the burn on his leg with his boot, before yanking his foot away as it started to sting more. Still not as much as his face though.
"I have heard of farsight," He admitted, clipping the saber on his belt, and shaking his hair out from away his face. It was unnerving to contemplate that he might have it himself. But then, he could very well have other gifts. It wasn't like he was that far into his training or mastery of the Force. Her tone was relaxed though, and comforting, which was certainly a relief. He gave a slight shrug and small smile in greeting.

"I have never had a vision before," He paused to try and see if he had forgotten one. He hadn't. Or at least, he could remember forgetting one. "This was the first one."

"What did you see," Sera said holding up the force stealth, practicing, soft steps carrying her around him till she came to his side, keeping a polite distance, hands folding within her robe. There was always that fiery Kintan glow to the red priestess, a dry hot upbringing, brought up near volcanoes and other mountains, had left their mark on the usually normadic Vahla, their bodies changing to meet the heat over generations. "Farsight is not always clear, it is like ripples in the pond, or waves on the ocean, sometimes you see where they might take, sometimes they just blur the water." All as if an act of nature for Sera, it was how she understood the force, to be everything.

"What other gifts do you have, have you ever done anything...." She looked at a practice droid, and extended a hand, trying to make something happen, but not understanding machines, nature did not. "Can you move things, can you stop things, can you stun things...." a fiery smile, and a lowering of the head. Sera dropped the stealth, her force signature much more prevalent now. "They say the force grows from interaction with its will." So the scrolls and her order had taught her, the machine she didn't have to understand just the environment.

Ionize... a short jolt lept out of her hand toward the practice droid, which began to overload, it was only a spark at first, and it faltered like all first time abilities, not seeming to be able to hold it. The counterpart to force stun on living beings, was ionize on droids. The droid shook itself and walked forward, she hadn't stopped it but it was powered up and ready for training now.

"Look into your visions, do you know anything that might stop a droid? The force is in you, around, it is you." This was just Sera's version of the force of course, her ideology.

Veino took a slow breath, calming his heart rate, unsurprised at noticing when she dropped her stealth at the strength of the signature. He contemplated this, eyes distant and looking towards the floor.

"I saw....someone. Of my order," He faltered, trying to take it in, "Though I could not tell the future or the past. Or who, even." He looked up, curious at her ability to stun droids. He's certainly never been able to do that. A wry, ironic smile ghosted across his lips. "I could tell by the armor, and I did we a way to stop a droid. The figure had a lightsaber."

What gifts and skills? He paused, thinking, before answering slowly, "Move things....yes. Stop things," He paused, frowning, "Sometimes. Never stunned anything though." What other things has been hinted as skills he knew? Others emotions. "And feel the emotions of others. Even before we were taught to use it, I could always feel them." His family in particular. His parent's frustration with him had been remarkably sharp. Even now he wasn't sure how much of his dissatisfaction with himself before had truly been his and how much was his parents.
