STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

(+) Strong - Bruniik, despite his seemingly fragile physical state, is quite strong. The source of his strength is likely the curse that keeps him alive.
(+) Intelligent - His natural born smarts weren't lost when he was entombed or when he was awaken from a seven thousand year slumber.
(+) Seemingly Immortal - Bruniik has survived in his original body for over seven thousand years, although it has decayed quite dramatically. Blunt trauma and blaster bolts do little in way of damage unless applied to the head and if a limb is severed, Bruniik can reattach it with relative ease.

(-) Cannot Speak Galactic Basic - Bruniik has no knowledge of Galactic Basic, instead speaking and thinking in a now extinct and ancient language.
(-) Arrogant - He was, and still is, highly arrogant. Confidence overflows from his decaying form in tidal waves. This leads to some situations that could have otherwise been avoided. For instance, staying behind in an exploding facility to prove his strength to a challenger.
(-) Insane - Seven thousand years of physical paralysis with an active brain has taken its tole on Bruniik. His actions are highly unpredictable and sometimes completely random.

BIOGRAPHY: Bruniik was born roughly twenty years before the Hundred Year Darkness on a planet that is now no longer recognized in official records. He was inducted into the ancient Jedi order as a child and became a successful knight by the beginning of the Hundred Year Darkness. Initially, he fought against the Dark Jedi but that didn't last for very long. A few years into the war, he succumbed to the teachings of a Dark Master, allured by the promise of controlling life.

Bruniik sided with the Dark Jedi under the teachings of an unidentified Dark Master who taught Bruniik the rudimentaries of Sith Alchemy as it was back then. Bruniik was fascinated with the teachings, fascinated by what he could alter. What fascinated Bruniik the most, though, was intricately delving into life itself. He longed to resurrect people on a whim and to perhaps make himself immortal.

A decade into the war, Bruniik had become an accomplished Dark Master. He resurrected armies of corpses and was widely regarded as one of the most powerful fighting for the Dark Jedi. Bruniik wanted more. He wanted immortality.

He conducted experiments on a backwater planet in the outer rim, where he'd constructed a small temple to call his own. Unfortunately, one of his servants sold Bruniik out, resulting in a strike team of the Jedi's strongest and most capable to try and capture Bruniik. Bruniik, close to unlocking the secrets of perfect immortality, was in the middle of his most dangerous ritual yet, right in the central chamber of his temple.

When the Jedi interrupted Bruniik's concentration, the experiment went awry, granting Bruniik the immortality he desired at a severe cost. His powers were stripped away from him in the exchange for longevity, making his capture quite easy.

When brought back to the Jedi, the masters convened and agreed to imprison Bruniik within the depths of a secret temple on another unknown world. When they arrived at the secret temple, the masters gathered around the former Dark Master and initiated a force ritual, one that would send Bruniik into a state of paralysis. The ritual was experimental and resulted in Bruniik's force signature to completely disappear for the time he was 'asleep'.

With the deed done, the Jedi masters entombed Bruniik in a sarcophagus within the depths of the secret temple and agreed to never speak a word of him. The knowledge of Bruniik's whereabouts died with those masters.

Bruniik lay undisturbed in that temple for over seven thousand years, slowly rotting, until one day, an adventurer stumbled upon his tomb...
