Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Onrai smiled, and as the duo walked through the rift, they were transported to another realm - the realm of Otherspace.

Admiral Sularen would immediately notice that despite appearing to be solid ground and formless dirt, he seemed to start sinking into the landscape. A quick motion from Onrai's hands, and it grew firm beneath him once again. "Welcome to Otherspace. Mind the surface: in this realm, the laws of reality no longer apply, as that showcases."

Onrai pointed to, relatively close to their now-collapsed point of entry, the three giant cubes several kilometers on each side that currently rose above the duo. The cubes were coated with gilded metallic scales, a number of which seemed broken or alternatively were missing courtesy of the tremendous holes carved through each of them. The holes additionally revealed pale red flesh, which occasionally seemed to glisten when the void ignited at a high enough level.

"These are the 'dead gods' I've spoken of to the others before. Ancient primordial entities, who remembered the Celestials and once fought against them for dominion of the galaxy, the spawn of the Soulworm. But they are not the only oddities, alive or dead, that exist in this dominion. From them, I have acquired the power to provide for my followers, and from them I have learned more about the history of this galaxy than anyone could ever imagine. Including learning of the threats we have forgotten about."

She began to walk towards the nearest cube. "Have you heard of the Celestials before?"

FINAL DAWN
OTHERSPACE

After Onrai entered the rift, Sularen followed suit with the duo soon entering the pocket dimension known as Otherspace. However as soon as the High Regent set foot into what seemed to be solid ground, it seemed as if he were sinking into the landscape as if it were quicksand. At first Sularen thought this was a ploy from Onrai, but a quick motion from the goddesses hand reverted the surface below him into a solid state once more. Then Onrai proceeded to speak "Welcome to Otherspace. Mind the surface: in this realm, the laws of reality no longer apply, as that showcases."

After speaking, the goddess then turned her attention to three giant cubes located near the now-collapsed rift from which both she and Sularen had come through. These cubes seemed to be several kilometers in size and were coated in some sort of metallic scales, some of which were broken thanks to the massive holes that were carved into them. Given the red flesh revealed by these holds, Sularen had to assume these cubes were sentient beings whom were once alive in the distant past. Soon enough, Onrai would confirm Sularen's theories as she proceeded to speak once more.

She then began to walk towards the nearest cube and then proceeded to ask a single question to the High Regent, "Have you heard of the Celestials before?" As Onrai approached the cube, Sularen decided to follow her, walking carefully as to avoid more sinking ground. As he walked he gave his response to the goddess. "I've heard of them yes. Supposedly they were the ones who assembled the Corellian System and were responsible for the hyperspace anomalies that plague the Unknown Regions as well as being responsible for the creation of many other large mysterious structures and astrological anomalies across the galaxy. Although the nature of their disappearance has since remained a complete mystery to many with some suggesting that the Rakatans wiped them out or that they simply merged into the Force, guding the fate of the galaxy ever since."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"There are many preconceptions about the Celestials, but much of what you have said is true - at least other than their fate." As they continued to travel towards the nearby cube, they would notice a small camp in concert with a stairway leading to an adit where the cadaver's scales and corpses had been pierced through and broken into, revealing its interior. "The Celestials exist as servants of the one who was responsible for making the galaxy we live in today. Those who would be considered "good" have long left the galaxy behind, and allegedly none remain here, not even the last of the so-called Force Demons. There were those whose hubris believed they were superior to the Maker, the Creator, or whatever else he is called - I have seen them and know where they were locked away after what I could only describe as a War in Heaven. Consider them and Nakhash, their leader, the one who corrupted the universe."

As they passed into the cadaver, their feet stood on a fleshy and somewhat squishy floor that squelched with each step further into the cadaver they took - despite the physical impossibility of it, within what could only have been dozens of square kilometers in floorspace opened up to practically the size of a continent, rife with bizarre fleshy constructs that resembled mountains and towers and buildings. Occasionally a small party of scientists could be seen, studying some aspect of the creature's former existence, and great lakes of unknowable fluids were ringed by fleshy bridges. Limp tentacles indicated the life of the creature was gone, and on both the side they were nearest and the furthest side away, the hole from the beam weapon that had bored all the way through the creature was still there, still visible, still a source of the unnatural light that kept the landscape bright and dark.

"This is one of the degraded descendants of the Celestials. One who reproduced with his emotional state imbalanced and thus begat offspring who, themselves created the monstrous spawn that called this realm home. Of them, these were the last survivors. Well, barring one who is not so easily removed, but it is no longer a threat." She pointed out. "This one's remains even now continue to reveal such secrets. And to think this creature and those it sired were once viewed as deities in and of themselves."
