LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City: Thalios
  • Planetary Features:
    • Thalios, the capital of the planet and only artificial location on Bretia. A small village of wooden houses placed on stone foundations, dirt roads cut through the village leading to the center. The chieftains hut is the largest structure, but serves as both a home and great hall where the village council meet. Near the village, carved into a cliff face, sits the communication array that keeps watch over the village. Large stables sit close to the gate entrance, that leads out to a makeshift landing pad. Technology is present here, just in small quantities.
    • FjvE1Q.jpg
  • Major Locations: Being a newly discovered planet, most of what has been explored on Bretia has only been around the village of Thalios.
    • Plains of Mirall: Stretching out to the southern and western sides of the village of Thalios is the plains of Mirall. A vast stretch of low rolling hills and plains. Short deciduous trees and shrubs dot the landscape in small clusters. The fertile soil supports tall grass and grains, making it excellent for farming. Large herd animals roam the plains in both large and small groups.
    • FjrBBc.jpg
    • Great Pine Forests: More than half of Bretia's landmass is covered in massive pine forests. These towering trees can stretch up to 100 or more meters in height. The ground floor of these forests is home to only a few animal species, mainly large herbivores and those that prey on them. In contrast, the canopies of these trees hold a large amount of species, mainly birds and smaller mammals and insects. The thick bark and size of these trees makes them difficult to cut down, yet they provide significant amounts of lumber.
    • FjrKtA.jpg
    • Volcanic Rivers: Despite the name, these rivers aren't made from lava. Rather they are named for the polished black volcanic rock that makes up their river beds. These cool clear rivers stretch for hundreds of miles across the planets surface. Snaking their way through valleys, plains and forests, sometimes cascading down mountain cliffs. So much volcanic rock in these rivers suggests that the planet may have once been a very volcanically active at one point in its history.
    • FjrfHW.jpg
    • Silvercrest Mountain Range: To the north of Thalios lies the Silvercrest mountains, a massive range of jagged peaks, steep cliffs and cold glacial lakes. These mountains are trapped under feet of snow for most of the year, giving them a silver like glow when viewed from a distance. Only the hardest of animals dwell here amongst the frozen landscape and stunted trees. During the summer months, thick fog rolls down the mountain sides and shrouds the pine forest in thick morning fog. Water from the melting snow feeds the rivers that flow through the valleys, while rain clouds form against the peaks before bringing need water to the Mirall plains. Beneath all that snow and rock hides metal ore such as iron, copper and brass.

POPULATION
  • Native Species: No native sentient species
  • Immigrated Species: Arsenian
  • Population: Insignificant: Only 200 colonists
  • Demographics: 100% Arsenian
  • Primary Languages: Avarae, Galactic Basic
  • Culture: The colonists their culture with them from Arsenae
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Village council. Occasionally answers to the Matriarch of their home planet, but normally left to their own decisions.
  • Affiliation: Arsenae
  • Wealth: Poor. Bretia is a fledgling colony with only several hundred colonists. Most of their wealth comes from the small amounts of trade based on agriculture and natural resources. Most of what is traded heads back to their mother planet of Arsenae.
  • Stability: Medium: The capital city of Thalios is the only populated village on the planet and remains relatively peaceful. The city itself has had no major crimes since its founding. Most of the unrest or dangerous come from either the local wildlife or the very rare pirate sighting.
  • Freedom & Oppression: Bretia is a very free planet with almost no oppressive laws. Although it's not lawless. Crimes such as murde and theft are dealt with accordingly.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: Bretia's military is built up of local militia. Every colonist has a lifetime of military training, starting from a young childhood. The majority of their equipment is standard military equipment supplied to them by their home planet of Arsenae. Patrols of military vessels, such as Star Destroyers and Cruisers, periodically enter the system to check for any threats.
  • Technology: Below Galactic standard. Typical of Arsenian lifestyle, technology doesn't play a big role in their daily lives. Preferring to do most of their work the same way their ancestors did for thousands of years. Beasts of burden are still used in farming and hauling heavy loads, while most everything they build or create is done by hand.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The planet Bretia was discovered by Biologist Dr. Adson Thalios almost ten years before the Arsenians settled on its surface. Dr. Thalios discovered the planet by accident during an expedition in the unknown regions. Fascinated by the planets lack of sentient beings and undiscovered fauna, he set up a basecamp on the planet. For almost ten years he lived on Bretia in near seclusion, giving very little detail to his colleagues of his location. There, he studied and catalogued as much as he could from a planet undisturbed by civilization.

After several years, Thalios made a return trip to Coruscant to reveal his findings to fellow colleagues. However his trip took a turn when his ship was attacked by pirates and he was taken prisoner. Thelios was badly injured and held hostage by the pirates for several days before being rescued by Arsenian forces who had been tracking the pirates. Even after being liberated and taken to Arsenae for treatment, Thalios never made it back to Coruscant, as his injuries and captivity had taken its toll. In the days before he passed, he lived with the Arsenians and grew to be fascinated with their culture. He revealed why he was in the unknown regions and the works he did their, he also revealed that the pirates had been sent by several of his own colleagues to claim his works as their own. Before he passed, Thalios revealed the location of Bretia and where he hid his works to the Arsenian people as a means to repay them. After his passing, he was buried on the planet of Arsenae, away from those who sought to do him ill.

Shortly after Thalios passed, the Arsenians sent several recon teams to Bretia. From there a small colony outpost was set up on the spot where Thalios had built his basecamp. The colony, and now capital of the planet, was named after the man who discovered the planet. The knowledge of the planet and its colony have been kept mostly secret to all but the closest of allies to the Arsenians. A safety measure, incase something happened to their home planet. With most of its buildings fully constructed, a small village council, agricultural and raw resources being harvested, Thalios was starting to become a promising colony.

I'll be conducting the first review for you. As you may be aware, Planet Submissions to Codex undergo a two-step approval process. First with a Codex Judge, followed by a second review with a Roleplay Judge or Administrator.

This is exceptionally well crafted, but I did want to clarify two points.

1. Major Imports.
Major Imports: Textiles, medical equipment, limited technology, iron, copper.

With regard to "limited technology," what should your reader understand this to mean? Can be you specific at all? We want this field to be as clear as it can, so that people understand what can be found on the planet. Anything common can be mentioned, while anything special or unique should be linked.

2. Unexploited Resources.
Unexploited Resources: Pockets of iron, copper other minor metals. Deep pockets of gas, crystals and gemstones.

Same issue as above. What should your reader understand regarding the gas, crystal, and gemstones that may be found here? There are many different gases in the SW Universe according to Wookieepedia, and some are worthless while others are quite valued. Same with crystals and gemstones. Can you be more specific about what these resources are? Anything common can be mentioned, while anything special or unique (tibana gas, kyber crystals, etc) should be linked.

Those are my thoughts. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments in light of mine. Otherwise, please tag me when you have completed any edits.

Hey there! You did a good job making the adjustments from the previous judge but this area does need a wee bit of tweaking still.

Unexploited Resources: Pockets of iron, copper other minor metals. Deep pockets of methane, sapphires, opals, rubies and geodes.
Unexploited Resources: [ Does this planet have resources that are not yet utilized by the population? Common materials and ores should just be listed (Ex. Durasteel ore), while anything special or rare should be linked. ]

You'll need to list the "other minor metals" still.

Otherwise - It all checks out. Good work!
