- Manufacturer: Breshig War Forge Consolidated.
- Affiliation: Breshig War Forge Consolidated and Strill Securities.
- Material: Verpine Shatter round components, micro-missile components, Reinforced Duraplast Ultramesh liner, Isotope-5 and Ultrachrome electronics.
- SPECIAL FEATURES
-
- Explosive Type
-
- Isotope-5 Granitic and EM Fields Manipulator.
- Active Homing
-
- Pre-launch: The round downloads target information from the launcher, plotting where to land near the target that would have the greatest effect.
- Launch: The round's targeting microcomputer completes preliminary planning for maneuvering and plots the course toward the target area. .
- Midcourse: The targeting microcomputer compares initial target information to sensor data and decides whether any maneuvering or course changes are required.
- Terminal: The round switches to laser gyroscope inertial guidance for the terminal phase, preventing broad spectrum jamming from affecting it to a large extent. The round then expends the remainder of its fuel in a sustained high energy acceleration toward the target area.

- Impact
-
- Repulsorlift Jamming: The mine's Isotope-5 core is modulated to counteract repulsorlifts. Though not powerful enough to affect airspeeders, these mines have more than enough 'strength' to affect and potentially completely negate the anti-gravity abilities of repulsorlifts.
- Reversed Repulsor: The Isotope-5 core's modulated gravity manipulation replicates the functioning of a reversed repulsorfield trap.
- EMP Field: The mine generates an extremely powerful EMP field fully capable disabling large repulsorlift vehicles and even other vehicles caught in the core's effective radius of 20 meters.
- Detection and Detonation: Provided no friendly IFF signals are in the detonation zone, the round will detonate under the following circumstances if any of the following are tripped. The IFF safety feature can be disabled.
- Gyroscopic Tamper Sensor: A gyroscopic anti-tamper sensor detects if the round is being disturbed or tampered with and triggers a detonations.
- Seismic Sensor: If any major vibrations are detected, such as those generated by digging, footsteps, repulsors, vehicles or the like are detected within 20 meters of the mine, it will detonate.
- 360-degree FOV Electro Photo Receptor: Anything that is detected by the electro photo receptor that approaches within and out to 40 meters of the mine is tracked. If they attempt to withdraw and don't trip any of the other sensors, the round will be detonated. If they do not, the mine will be detonated once they reach 20 meters.
- EMS Scanner: The round can be set to detonate only when triggered by specific EM signatures, either those that are uploaded to the round's computer or ones that are detected by the round.
- LIDAR: If the LIDAR sensor detects hostile targets within 20 meters, the round will detonate.
- Propulsion and Maneuvering
-
- IR suppressed thrust trace dampened vectral equipped ion-atmospheric hybrid drive
- Etheric rudder(s)
- Maneuvering Fins
- Defenses

- Combat De-ionizer
- Communications Suite
-
When connected to compatible systems, the communication suite is an auto-negotiating, frequency hopping system with a self-modulating encryption key, making it extremely resistant to jamming and interception. The comm-lasers can mimic this by rapidly shifting their broadcast spectrum.
- Comm Unit
- Rear-facing Comm Laser
- Backup Communication Systems:
- Sensor, Scanner and Tracking Suite
-
The round creates a composite sensor picture by cross checking data from all of its sensors when in guidance modes where it actively uses the to acquire/track targets.
- Dedicated Energy Receptor
- Electro Photoreceptor
- Long-range Heat Detector
- Long-range Energy Scanner
- Magnetic Signature Sensor
- Gravity-wave Anomaly Tracker
- Silhouette Signature Tracking
- Countermeasures Compensation Computer: The C3 analyzes any countermeasures the target deploys, such as jamming, "dummy" drones, flares or chaff, and predicts the target's path. The C3 continues to make minor adjustments up to the microsecond before the missile impacts.
- STRENGTHS
-
- Tracking: Given the high velocity of Verpine Shatter rounds and the added evasion mitigation and the ability to course correct that the guided rounds have, the chance of actually missing a target is greatly lowered. Additionally, the round is capable of adjusting it's trajectory to adjust for the movement of most infantry and vehicle targets.
- Jamming Resistant: The composite sensor, scanner and tracking suite of the rounds prevents broad spectrum jamming from affecting it to a large extent.
- Boom: Attempting to disable the mine with weapons fire or explosives will result in the Isotope-5 core detonating spectacularly, easily capable of vaporizing anything out to 10 meters and doing notable shrapnel and concussive damage to anything out to 20 meters.
- Anti-Repulsorlift Vehicle: The round functions as a miniaturized repulsorlift jammer due to the Isotope-5 core's ability to manipulate gravity. Though the EMP generator enables it to affect other vehicles as well.
- Reversed Repulsorfield: The Isotope-5 core's modulated gravity manipulation replicates the functioning of a reversed repulsorfield trap.
- EMP/Ion: The round is well defended against EMP/Ion weapons and the high output of the Isotope-5 core necessitates the use of a considerably more powerful Ion weapon to disable it.
- WEAKNESSES
-
- Limited Maneuvering: These rounds are incapable of making any dramatic maneuvering. They can account for last minute evasion attempts by most targets such as infantry targets with jetpacks or particularly maneuverable or fast repulsorcraft.
- Indiscriminate: The large lethal blast radius necessitate careful targeting to prevent damage to friendly forces or collateral damage.
- Damage to its own defenses against EMP/Ion weapons prior or during its activation, might cause the round's own EMP to fry it.
- EMP/Ion: If the round is hit with a powerful enough EMP/Ion weapon, there is a good chance that said weapon would be able to overload it's defensive measures and fry the round's circuitry.
- DESCRIPTION
-
Given the prevalence of hostile vehicle based targets, let alone the prevalence of hostile repulsorlift vehicle hostiles, infantry and droids with repulsor packs and the like notwithstanding. As such, the request for a round that could counter such technologies that had some longevity came from Strill Securities and Breshig was all too happy to oblige in that regard. Basing this round off their already field-tested, adopted into service mine of a similar concept, the new round doesn't detonate on impact, rather acting like a mortar deployed mine in that regard. Some have argued it might be more economical to use mine scattering shells, but those detracts have forgotten the relatively limited quantity by comparison those shells can disperse.
The round, precisely like the other rounds that were developed on the same standardized frame work is resistant to jamming and features excellent tracking, though their inability to perform any dramatic maneuvers is a limiting facto when engaging particularly fast and maneuverable targets. The round's Isotope-5 core detonates with a large force, capable of vaporizing anything out to 10 meters and capable notable fragmentation damage to anything out to 20 meters. This does necessitate careful targeting in forgetting in that regard. The round is capable of manipulating gravity such that it acts as a miniature repulsorlift jammer. The round also acts as a miniaturized reversed repulsor trap. Finally, the round is well defended against EMP/Ion weapons and the high output of the Isotope-5 core necessitates the use of a considerably more powerful Ion weapon to disable it.
That does not mean the round is immune to EMP/Ion weapons and damaged protection systems will result in the round frying itself. Additionally, a powerful enough EMP/Ion weapon, there is a good chance that said weapon would be able to overload it's defensive measures and fry the round's circuitry. Nonetheless the round has been accepted into service by Strill Securities.
