SPECIAL FEATURES​

• Components
  • Tape: The tape is made from a Baradium-Ytterbium laced frost and moisture insensitive adhesive tape. The tape comes in 5-meter rolls. Multiple layers can be used to increase the penetration of the charge.
  • Detonator: The detonator is a one-inch diameter coin-shaped object that is affixed to the tape once it is placed. Each 'pack' comes with five detonators.
    • Variable Detonation Method(s):
      • Timed: The detonator has as timer that can be set from anywhere from half a second to it's battery pack's maximum lifetime of a galactic standard week. The connection of more powerful external charge packs will allow the timer to be set for longer periods of time.
      • Command: The detonator is primarily designed to be activated over comms, to facilitate this it has a 'Manda' Battlenet-compatible encrypted frequency hopping comm/ptp link or comm laser. This means the detonator can be activated via paired comms system via standard comms or ptp link or over a connected 'Manda' net. In all cases, additional authorized comm units may be synced and may be used to detonate the charge provided they have the detonation code. The detonation code is either set manually or generated by the first paired comm unit.
    • Tamper-prevention:
      • Removal Detection: If removed from the object it is adhered to without disarming, the detonator will activate.
      • Laser Gyroscope: If the detonator is moved or lifted once armed, it will detonate.
      • Mechu-deru/Slicing/Re-wiring: Sensors and monitoring routines check for attempts to alter the detonator's functioning. If attempts are made to alter the detonator's programming or circuitry once armed, it will detonate.
      • Power Loss: If for any reason the detonator loses power, it will detonate with a backup chemical fuze.
    • Power:
      • Micro Rylith Powercell.

STRENGTHS​

• Thermal Well: The detonation can create a thermal ignition that can punch through around a meter of most hardened materials with a single layer. Perfect for hatch cracking and getting through blast doors.
• Difficult to Disarm: The detonator's numerous tamper-prevention methods make it difficult to disarm for those without the disarm code.

WEAKNESSES​

• Too Thick: Particularly thick and/or resilient objects will likely take more powerful explosives to breach.
• Directional: The tape only does realistic damage to what it is adhered to.

DESCRIPTION​

When Strill Securities put in a request for a breaching charge with a smaller, more easily transportable form factor that didn't cause much if any collateral damage, Breshig War Forge answered. The company turned to a Baradium-Ytterbium solution, due to it's high energy output. A Baradium-Ytterbium adhesive tape was developed, along the lines of the detonite tape already used by Strill Securities. The detonator's functions were based off the company's existing series of detonations charges, allowing for easier familiarization with Strill Securities troops and customers alike.​

The detonation can create a thermal ignition that can punch through around a meter of most hardened materials with a single layer. Perfect for hatch cracking and getting through blast doors. That said, particularly thick and/or resilient objects will likely take more powerful explosives or multiple layers to breach. Additionally, the tape is a directional shaped charge, it only does realistic damage to what it is adhered to. When used in appropriate cases and even when put to use creatively, the TWT-01 can prove to be a particularly deadly tool in the right hands.​
