  • Effective Range: Long Range
  • Rate of Fire: High
  • Stopping Power: Very High
  • Recoil: Average
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Collapsible/Extendable Stock
  • Integrated Gyrostabilizer Module: The gyrostabilizer module keeps the weight of the weapon from affecting targeting acquisition and engagement to a too severe degree.
  • Integrated Barrel Cryo Cooling Lattice: The weapon's cryo cooling lattice keeps the weapon from overheating under normal firing. However, pushing the weapon past it's tolerances can cause the cooling system to lock the weapon's firing mechanism to perform a mandatory coolant flush.
  • Fire Modes: The weapon can either fire all of its four barrels sequentially with each trigger pull, semi or fully automatically, two at a time, semi or fully automatically or all four at once, semi or fully automatically.
STRENGTHS
  • Long Range: The PBHR-01's long range, enabling the user to engage targets at distances that many would not be able to fire back.
  • High Rate of Fire: The PBHR-01 can sustain a staggering rate of fire, making it perfect as a support weapon as well as a means to provide support fire.
  • High Impact: Each densely packed, highly energized bolt detonates explosively on impact, making it capable of doing considerable concussive damage to both armored and unarmored targets. Additionally, this makes it useful for the purposes of suppressing targets as well. The bolts fired from the PBHR-01 have enough energy to potentially take on heavily armored troops and light vehicles.
WEAKNESSES
  • Heating Issues: Even with an integrated barrel cryo cooling lattice and a Dallorian alloy barrel, the weapon can get extremely hot. At this point, the weapon begins an emergency coolant flush and cannot fire for up to a minute as it begins to cool down. In the middle of a firefight, that can be a death sentence. The weapon carries enough spare coolant for a total of three flushes. Past this point, the weapon will potentially damage itself and thus be rendered inoperable.
  • Heavy: The weapon is both large and heavy, making wielding it in close quarters difficult, and carrying it around a potentially fatigue inducing endeavor.
  • EMP/Ion: Should the weapon be under the effects of particularly inclement atmospheric conditions or particularly powerful EMP/Ion weapons it is possible that its components will be fried.
  • Small Ammunition Capacity: Weapons with high fire rates and small ammunition capacities are usually not the best combinations, especially when they're large support weapons and reloading them can be a cumbersome affair.
DESCRIPTION
Breshig War Forge Consolidated developed the PBHR-01 as an infantry portable support weapon with a little more explosive force behind each shot to aid in suppression, the PBHR-01's rate of fire, range and natural high damage impact as a particle beam weapon make it almost perfect for the role. The weapon had a side effect of being particularly useful against lightsaber wielding combatants, as they could put down a high number of shots at a single target with an optimal range that the user is quite safe from retaliation from their target. This makes it popular among those intending to take the fight to a force user, and given its general utility it has seen great popularity with members of Strill Securities.

As useful a weapon as the PBHR-01 is, it suffers from heating issues. Despite the fact that it has an integrated barrel cryo cooling lattice and a Dallorian alloy barrel, the weapon can get extremely hot.

Being both large and heavy, it isn't the easiest weapon to wield in close quarters combat. Carrying it around is potentially quite the fatigue inducing endeavor like most heavy support weapons. Should the weapon be under the effects of particularly inclement atmospheric conditions or particularly powerful EMP/Ion weapons it is possible that its components will be fried. Finally, weapons with high fire rates and small ammunition capacities are usually not the best combinations, especially when they're large support weapons and reloading them can be a cumbersome affair.
