STRENGTHS

• Any Lighting Conditions: The systems allows ships to adjust for any lighting conditions, not forcing them to rely on other systems that are largely unaffected by lighting conditions. This potentially allows for all systems to be used.
• Gimbal or Turret-mounted: The illuminator and laser can be oriented in any direction that the craft requires via gimbal or turret mount.

• EMP/Ion: A powerful enough EMP/Ion weapon could fry or in the very least disable the electronics of the device.

DESCRIPTION

The Ori'drala Surhaai is designed to give starships and installations a means to use their light sensitive detection, targeting and tracking systems no matter the lighting conditions. The system can shift the spectrum of light to best suit the situation and better accomodate for said light sensitive systems. It can be turret or gimbal mounted, allowing the device to be oriented better for the purposes of detection, targeting and tracking. The device is fully rated for all the rigors of battelfield use, including EMP/Ion damage, however the emergence of increasingly powerful models of such weapons is a concern for even the protected and robust electronics of the Drala Sur'haai.
