DESCRIPTION

After the engagement above Coruscant with a Slaver-operated Vong ship following the Dark Empire's first invasion of Coruscant, Strill Securities began searching for a solution to deal with Dovin Basal shielding technology in an economic manner. With one of the company's clients already having come up with numerous anti-Vong pathogens, the company felt that there was no immediate requirement to pursue a pathogen-based solution to the occasional Vong problem. As a result the sole solution sought out was one to the Dovin Basal question.

Comnpany manufatured mass-drivers were able to fire with only partial capacitor charge without a dramatic range loss of range. That said, there is a notable loss in stopping power and pilots are advised to keep this in mind. Additionally, stutter-fire is really only effective at overhwlming Dovin basals, giving the software a use case only against Dovin Basal and Dovin Basal-based technology that suffer the same weakness.
