PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Immersive Simulation: Everything from then environments to the opponents created by the system are extremely realistic and lifelike, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in the training scenario.
WEAKNESSES
  • Live Rounds: Live ammunition of sufficient caliber can permanently damage or destroy the equipment in the room. This necessitates the use of training weapons, or weapons firing on low power settings or stun mode which doesn't necessarily reflect battlefield conditions.
DESCRIPTION
The inspiration for the Mirshe'drashaar'yamika came from the training centers at Kamino, where Strill Securities trainers worked to train the clones of Kamino as part of the contract with the Kamino government. Requesting modern training facilities like what they'd used on Kamino, Strill Securities' trainers were met with a mixed response from their colleagues who saw no need to fix what wasn't broken. A design team from Breshig War Forge Consolidated approached them about their request and worked closely with them to develop the Mirshe'drashaar'yamika.
Re-creating the simulation systems was not the most challenging aspect, but figuring out how to properly be able to scale the system up and down for it to be in keeping with the company's modular assembly approach proved to be more challenging that initially expected. The ability to almost perfectly recreate any environment however, was not enough. In order to create opponents who could offer more than a challenge to the participants and adapt to their fighting styles, the team pulled apart a Gar'mirshe droid brain till they had the hardware and software they needed.
The end result was a simulation room that recreate any environment, any weather, any terrain and put the participants up against just about any enemy that they or their trainers could imagine all without having any of the costs that would come with a training exercise in the 'real world'. The cost, however, is that weapons with live ammunition cannot be used lest they damage or destroy any of the equipment. This necessitates the use of training weapons, or weapons firing on low power settings or stun mode which doesn't necessarily reflect battlefield conditions.
