OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To develop a less advanced, non-sentient version of the company's Gar'mirshe droid brain for Breshig War Forge Consolidated, Strill Securities and select others.
  • Canon Link: N/A.
  • Permissions: N/A.
  • Primary Source: 'Gar'mirshe' Droid Brain.
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Advanced Analytics and Learning Capabilities: The Gar'mirshe'ika is an extremely advanced heuristically learning droid brain that puts a wide variety of analytical tools and databases at the droid's disposal to allow it to make the best possible decisions and learn to consistently do so in the face of changing circumstances.
  • Resilient: The Gar'mirshe'ika droid brain is built to last more or less anything that the droid might come up against while performing its functions, and is protected against a wide variety of damage that might be faced in an industrial environment or on the battlefield.
  • Secure: The Gar'mirshe is extremely well-secured against attacks by slicers, and notably greatly protects access to the droid's core functions.
WEAKNESSES
  • EMP/Ion: The Gar'mirshe'ika as would be expected has a lot of sensitive electronic components that if hit with a powerful enough EMP/Ion weapon could end up greatly damaging or entirely frying the droid brain.
  • The Force: The droid brain has no defenses against the various force powers that can be used against it.
  • Capable Chassis: To take full advantage of the droid brain's capabilities, a suitably capable chassis is required. Without such, many of the droid's features are wasted.
DESCRIPTION
The Gar'mishe'ika and its implementation is one of the projects that the company had on the backburner prior to the CIS contract. The purpose of the Gar'mirshe'ika was to create a droid brain that while less advanced than the Gar'mirshe droid brain that it was based off of was significantly more advanced than the ones used in their current droids, specifically with the purpose of boosting the analytics and learning capabilities of said droids. Rather than preset conditions and pre-programmed protocols, considerable effort was spent in ensuring that the droid makes its own decisions by analyzing the situation and determining what action is best to take after assessing multiple options first. Thanks to it's powerful heuristic processor and advanced Gabonna crystal memory banks it can do this extremely quickly such that performance and reaction time are not only unaffected, but improved.
A big improvement over previous droid brains made specifically for earlier droids is the combat protocols and programming. A mimetic combat processor designed to analyze the opponent's fighting style not to mimic it, rather to counter it. This increases the droid's combat versatility, allowing it to not only better learn from engagements that it survives but also to perform better against targets that it has not encountered before. Of course, a full suite of various databases and combat protocol give the droid considerable combat capabilities and survivability.
The droid brain itself is built Mandalorian sturdy, and is protected against a wide variety of potential sources of damage that the droid might encounter in an industrial environment or on the battlefield. Additionally, the droid comes with a considerable cyber security suite, combining a variety of different measures to prevent unauthorized access, remote or otherwise. Should the droid brain be accessed by those without the correct codes and communication protocols, a magnetic pulse wiper will ensure that the droid cannot be subverted against those with works with and for. Should the magnetic pulse wiper fail, the droid brain comes with a baradium self-destruct charge that will destroy it.
While extremely advanced, the Gar'mirshe'ika requires a capable droid chassis to take advantage of the variety of advanced features that it possesses. At the end of the day, it is still a droid brain, and the Gar'mirshe'ika will be greatly damaged if not destroyed by any EMP/Ion weapons potent enough to bypass or overwhelm it's considerable defenses. When it comes to the force, however, the Gar'mirshe'ika is entirely defenseless. The company has a variety of solutions for the above when it comes to their own droids, and encourages customers expecting their droids to be engaging force users to develop their own solutions or use their upcoming solution.
