• Affiliation: Breshig War Forge Consolidated and Strill Securities.
• Material: Duranium frame (weapon and armature), dallorian alloy coated inner barrel, duravlex reinforced barrel, reinforced duraplast reinforcement, combat de-ionizer, ultrachrome wiring, servo motors and verpine shatter weapon components.

SPECIAL FEATURES​

• Armor/HUD Sync: The weapon syncs to armor HUD and sensor systems. Target acquisition and assignment is done via armor sensor and HUD systems respectively.
  • Heuristic Processor: A heuristic processor is included to handle the real-time processing requirements of the weapon.
• Slave Targeting Mode: The weapon can be set to follow the user's head motions, allowing for faster targeting of units not immediately in front of the user.
• In-built 1-250x Extreme Range 'Kyrayc Sur'haai' Optic System.
• Armature folds and stows on the back when not in use.
• Laser Tracking System: The weapon features a laser tracking system that tags targets with an electronic homing signature.
• Target Tracking Repulsor Canister/Sabot: The cannister/sabot follows the electronic homing signature of tagged targets to track and follow the target's movements, and make course corrections in flight. Upon reaching three meters, or a pre-designated distance from the target, the canister would release its payload in either an area of effect or directed explosion. In the case of the sabot, it will instead just continue on toward the target.
• Variety of Ammunition: Breshig War Forge Consolidated produces a variety of ammunition for the weapon:
  • Anti-Personnel Flechette Canister: Filled with 12 millimeter long depleted baradium micro-flechettes.
  • Anti-Personnel Pellet Canister: Filled with depleted baradium pellets.
  • Anti-Armor Sabot: A 11 centimeter long tunqstoid flechette fitted with micro repulsors.

STRENGTHS​

• Target Tracking: The weapon's high velocity ammunition tracks targets and so there's a far lower chance of missing.
• Armor-Piercing: The rounds fired by this weapon have a higher chance of penetrating armor and causing significant damage than traditional slugthrowers.
• Whisper Quiet: Like most Verpine Shatter weapons, the FL-01S Verpine Shatter Flechette Launcher is whisper quiet.
• Armor Bane (Anti-Armor Sabot): The high power of the rounds, it's impressive propensity for armor penetration, high projectile velocity and excellent range make the weapon excellent for use in neutralizing armored vehicles, though it can struggle against heavily armored vehicles if not aimed correctly.

WEAKNESSES​

• EMP/Ion Vulnerability: Despite the attempt to protect the weapon's sensitive electronics, a powerful enough EMP/Ion weapon will fry the acceleration coils and render the weapon useless.
• Heavy Ammunition: The ammunition for the flechette launcher isn't particularly light and thus limits the amount that a user could potentially carry.
• Repulsor Jammer: Should a repulsorlift jammer be in play, while the weapon will still be able to fire, the canisters/sabots will not be able to track their targets.

DESCRIPTION​

The FL-01S is quite simply the company's FL-01 modified to function as an armor backplate mounted hands-free weapon system. The S model was developed for Strill Securities Tra'verde and Mirshir-Jurkad Rammikade who were assaulting enemy ships or stations or clearing enemy bunker complexes. The over the shoulder mount gave it the ability to fire over or around cover, particularly useful when engaging hostiles across hallways common to such installations. This also allows them to carry another weapon as their primary weapon, allowing them to be equipped to handle a greater variety of situations. Though Strill Securities are the primary intended users of the weapon, the company projects sales to cover the meagre development cost in the very least.​
