SPECIAL FEATURES

• Configuration: A repulsor pad is mounted on the inside of each track link. The system can control each repulsor pad individually to perform the functions listed below.
  • Emergency Repulsor Flight Mode: In an emergency the tracks can lock in place and the repulsors can allow limited periods of hover operation.
  • Variable Ground Pressure: The repulsors can read data from the mounting platform ascertain much by and when it is necessary to adjust its ground pressure.
  • Variable Traction: The repulsor can read data from the mounting platform to ascertain how much by and when it is necessary to adjust the vehicle's traction.
  • Adherence: The system can adhere the mounting platform to surface that will take its weight by reversing the repulsors and toggling them on and off as movement is necessary.
  • Tractor Beam Emitter: Tractor beam admitters mounted on the road wheel allow the mounting platform to extricate themselves or help right the vehicle if they need to.
  • Modular: The track system features modular sections allowing easier replacement by repair crews.

STRENGTHS

• Utility: The system affords great utility to the mounting platform with a plethora of functions that could prove to be useful.

• Loss of Power: The system is unable to function without a consistent source of power.
• Repulsorlift Jammer: The presence of a repulsorlift jammer will render the system unable to function.
• Jabiim-like Conditions: Conditions such as those on Jabiim can cause issues for the repulsorlift functions of the system.

DESCRIPTION

The Bes'uliik b' Bes'cetare' or the Tank's Iron Boot when translated from Breshig native Mando'a is a track system developed to counter most of the problems tracked vehicles tend to face while not being overtly difficult to replace on that battlefield. The system is able to adjust the mounting platform's ground pressure, traction and even adhered it to terrain that can hold its weight all without requiring significant modification on the part of the mounting platform. Additionally, the system is modular to allow easier replacement in the field. Being repulsor-based however for the most part does render the system vulnerable to conditions such as those on Jabiim as well as repulsorlift jammers.
