SPECIAL FEATURES
- Power:
- Power supply from ship/installation.
- Backup Cryogenic Capacitor(s)
- Miscellaneous:
- Inertial Compensator
- 'Btare Ar' Life Support System backup.
- Crash webbing equipped seats for passengers.
- Magnetic field
- Cargo Handling Systems:
- 'Iu'yaniyasa Gar'birgaan' Automated Cargo Management System integration: Cargo can be set to be loaded and unloaded by the automated cargo management system. The train can even be tasked to take the loaded cargo to another station without crew intervention. All cargo loaded and unloaded is scanned and monitored by the Morut'yc system by both the cargo managment system and the train.
- Security:
- 'Morut'yc' Security System integration: The transit system features full integration with the Morut'yc security system, using it to track passengers and preventing access to high security areas for those not cleared. Additionally, 'stations' and tunnels are also defended by the full measure of the Morut'yc's security features, and tunnels feature blast doors controlled by the system.
STRENGTHS
- Secure: The train provides safe, secure transit for personnel and cargo through a starship or installation. Passengers and cargo are protected from atmosphere or pressure loss in a shipboard emergency, or just the harshness of the elements on a groundside installation.
- Automated: The train's operation, including loading and unloading of cargo is all automated, freeing up the crew from having to dedicate themselves to it's operation.
WEAKNESSES
- It's a Train: The train provides no direct offensive capabilities on it's own. While marine units can use it as a fast method of accessing areas of the ship under boarding assault, and the stations are secure enough to hold off hostile troops, the train and its stations are far from an offensive means available to the crew when defending against hostile troops.
- Tracks: Should the tracks become broken, then the train will not be able to operate past that point.
DESCRIPTION
"Are you sure we can't put any weapons on it?"
"It's a shabla train, what the haran do you want to put weapons on it for?"
"I don't know. It just looks so...naked."
- Project lead and Shuklaar Kyrdol during a design review
Wanting a means of getting around larger starships and installations that also integrated the company's security and cargo management system that could be used with minimal changes as a means of transit in both large starship and installations, Breshig War Forge reinvented the wheel and developed their own beltway system. Rather than using a beltway, however, the company used the much faster monorail typically used on many worlds as an overland transport. While many made use of a repulsor system, the company went with a linear induction motor that featured it's own backup power. Additionally, given that it was meant to be used both in installations and starships, the train cars were fitted with the company's life support system. Additionally, an inertial compensator was included to compensate for the fast speeds and quick stops that the system made, as well as crash seats and webbing if the system were to ever de-rail for any reason.
The resulting system was dubbed the Aryarir, or artery, in basic. The automation of the entire system allows for it operate without crew interference. Cargo can be loaded at a station and the train tasked to move and unload the cargo at the next station without any crew interference. The cargo and any personnel are tracked and scanned at both stations, when getting on and getting off the train. Manual override of the train's systems, however is possible, in the event of the ship's systems being infiltrated by a slicer. Of course, being a train, it is reliant on having intact stretches of track, and the train lacks the capacity to be used in offensive manner much to the disappointment of more than a few employees. Since, it has been used on myriad warships and installations produced by the company.
