Private Breath In New Life

"Years ago we would've died uselessly. Now, perhaps not." She lowered her hand, still smiling. It was a good look on him. Confidence. "Well, we have our plans. Now it's time to make allies. I suggest you find yourself your own apprentice, Knight. Having an extra set of hands is handy. Having a set you can mold to what you need is better." And she'd go and retrieve her own. Alina turned her gaze to the Oracle still hovering close by. Right.

"Hold out your hand."

He clicked his tongue and shrugged and shrugged as he rested his hands on his hips. "Hm, fair." A look of surprise crossed is face at her suggestion, although it was mostly due to her apparently knowing of new rank, but he gave a small nod to show that he was listening. Finding an apprentice in his state would be difficult to say the least, if he even wanted to at all, but he would give the idea some thought. If nothing else then it would be something to ponder on for the future.

Alisteri raised an eyebrow at the request yet held out his right hand nonetheless. "Why?"

Alina didn't explain. Instead, she cut her nails across his palm with far too much ease. And no sooner was Alisteri bleeding that the Oracle shifted. Moved. Put itself into him through the cut on his palm. All at once it surged through his body. "There. They're now bound to you properly. We were made by the same blood, so it's easy enough. Utilize them to your fullest extent, though don't expect them to be of any use in a fight. They're knowledge, not power. Though I suppose knowledge is it's own power when used correctly."

She chuckled slightly, patting his palm.

"And now I leave. I'll send my guard as soon as I can. And the 67th, what remains of them. Use them to help train your cult members if you need to. They, like everything else, are at your disposal."

"Ow, hey!" Despite the pain, he resisted the instant reaction of drawing his hand back and watched in both shock and slight horror as the Oracle surged into the cut. The sensation drew a gasp of surprise and he stumbled back for a moment, looking disturbed and paler than usual. Alisteri shivered for a moment and did his best to shake off his undignified state as he listened to Alina's explanation.

"Right...thank you for the assistance Alina. Just warn me next time if something involves...anything like that." He closed his palm after she patted it, seeming afraid for a moment that the Oracle would slip right out if he didn't do so, and nodded. "We'll make sure to prepare special accommodations for them then, to the best that we can anyway."

The newly-Knighted Sith plucked his mask from the table and quickly fitted it back onto his face before speaking again. "Would you like me to escort you out?"

"No, I know the way. And I'd rather you start immediately on what I gave you." She flashed a friendly smile as she turned away from Alisteri. "And don't worry about giving them rooms. One ship won't be enough to stand against the Lords. Especially one as beat down as this."

Yeah, she went with the cryptic response. Specifically just to keep Alisteri guessing. She couldn't use the Force to pull off any tricks, but she knew enough on how to twist her words so she avoided lies that might be tipped off through it. And, well. It was fun to keep him on edge.

"We'll reconvene soon. When I have the artifact."

Alisteri raised an eyebrow and opened his mouth to ask what exactly she meant by her remark about his ship not being enough, but he reluctantly bit back his words and simply nodded. He knew Alina well enough to realize how pointless it was to ask her about something she didn't want to explain. It was a common trait of the Sith really. "See you then."

He would have plenty of work to occupy himself anyway. His gaze turned back to the still open case, the holocrons and journals within seeming to almost call his name as he stared at them. "Now, where to start..."

A small smirk crept onto his face as he reached for one of the holocrons and pulled it out of the case. "Let's see what you have to offer why don't we?"
