Trinn Traumsen
The Hour
After much delay due to wartime interference, Trinn Traumsen returns with a special bulletin for a device near you.
"This is Trinn Traumsen reporting to you live from an undisclosed location."
The report began with Trinn behind a desk, staring coldly into the camera. Dark circles under her eyes and a disheveled look suggest she hadn't slept for a few days.
"Reports are coming in from all over the Alliance, confirming to us now that the Battle Station over Atrisia has been destroyed."
Distant cheers and other approving noises are heard in the background.
She continued, "While details remain unconfirmed, a credible intelligence report suggests that the Imperial Confederation's naval forces are ultimately responsible for the superweapon's destruction. Neither the Confederation, its government, nor Supreme Commander
Marlon Sularen
has yet claimed responsibility for the act, however."
The woman paused, took a sip of water, and slouched in front of her datapad. "Regardless of how events have transpired, we can safely say that a crushing blow has been dealt to the Empire's war effort, halting what has been a brief yet terrifying campaign in the Core Worlds. Yet, only time will tell if the Alliance has the will or resources to mount a counteroffensive...
"Or if all has been sacrificed in a last stand over Atrisia."
The holocamera remained locked on Trinn, who looked ready to collapse at her desk.
The feed ended there.
