STRENGTHS:
  • Extreme resilience against blasters and lasers, EMP/Ion weapons, radiation, and kinetic damage all combine to create an excellent material for starship hulls.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Gives no protection against Force-based attacks, lightsaber-type weapons, or sonic weaponry.
  • Heavy weight makes it unsuitable for terrestrial vehicles, airspeeders, etc.
DESCRIPTION:

Designed to be a powerfully-resistant material for use in starship construction, Brandium offers exceptional protective qualities well-suited to warships and acting as a means to ensure ships’ survivability against a broad range of damage types. Tough, durable material is also very heavy, making it entirely impractical for small ships, terrestrial vehicles, airspeeders, and the like. It is only truly useful aboard capital ships operating outside of planetary gravity fields.
