Hi guys! I've got to be honest, I'm pretty nervous right now, and I have no idea what I'm really doing right now- I simply was looking for a place to roleplay and while I'm not a great role player like you guys are, I'll try my best to keep up. I have loved Star Wars since I was a kid and have watched all of the movies, but I haven't read the legends comics or played the Force Unleased yet. I have played the Battlefront games, so I'll likely know about a lot of blaster names that some might not. (Such as the TL-50, SC-44C, SE-14C, EE-3 & 4, etc) And that's really all I age to say! I really look forward to talking to you guys.

I think I just messed up. I just realized that in order to create a character, I have to have my username be the same as my character. Is this true or am I just jumping to conclusions?

You do, but in your account settings, you can make "Sub-Accounts" that allow you to RP as different characters. Most people use their "Writer" or primary account for OOC things around the site, and then use multiple sub-accounts as their characters.

Welcome! No worries that you don't know all the lore. Folks are pretty all over the place in regards to what they use, so if something comes up you maybe don't know you can always ask and you'll probably get an explanation. But there are also lots of writers who have really only watched the movies and that's it too.

In all seriousness, welcome to Chaos! Take it from me that you do not have to be a great writer or RPer to have fun here. And as for the lore, you can always create your own in the Factory and Codex forums. It looks intimidating at first, but it can be quite fun!

Hey, I know this might sound stupid of me, but I'm a mobile user, and I came to ask how I interact or use the character bio templates, I just can't seem to get them working.

Don't worry, the initial overwhelming feeling will pass as you learn and go.

Many of us use our first accounts as OOC accounts anyway, so not to worry there.

Regarding the bio templates, you can copy and paste them without formatting into the section for character biographies, or alternatively, use the "toggle bb code" option to paste them in there. It can be tricky on the phone for some, but the templates are also just a baseline suggestion. Not everyone follows them to the letter, and as long as you've got the basics about your character, you should be pretty solid.
