Intent: An anti-Force User weapon for the Open Market
Development Thread: If needed
Manufacturer: Gotal'Veman Arms & Armor
Model: BOOMstick
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: No
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Durasteel and Veshok wood grips/handle.
Classification: Sonic-Weapon (Made to mimic a shotgun slugthrower in looks)

Size: Hand-held
Length: 46 cm ~
Weight: 1.5 kg ~
Ammunition Type: Sonic generator/power cell(?)
Ammunition Capacity: 4 shots before cool-down threshold is reached. 8 shots before weapon must re-charge.
Effective Range: Personal, Equivalent to a sawed of double barrel 10 gauge shotgun, roughly
Rate of Fire: Single-barrel or double-barrel (Depending on if one or two triggers are pulled)

Special Features: Not so much armor piercing, as it causes massive blunt force trauma through sheer kinetic impact. Think of it like firing a tungsten hammer through a magnetic relay launcher. The target may look fine on the outside, but inside organs are ruptured and they are bleeding out, even dying before bruises form. Also unable to be parried of stopped by a lightsaber or the like.

Description:: High impact and effective radius of blast. Weak on range and long reload time compared to most other sonic weapons, as one must swap out the 'generator' every two shots. The gun was designed at an alternative to slug throwers, but also as an homage to them. It is designed to kill swiftly, and painfully, and be a last ditch resort. Features a mag-clamp in the bottom of the handle which would allow it to easily clamp to the backplate of someone in armor.

The BOOMstick is not very fast to fire, at all. However, when fired with both barrels, it has been known to even tear doors off it's hinges.

Because of it's massive recoil, it's not often used more than once, essentially possessing the kick-back of a large irritated gundark. As well, due to the massive forces at play, it would not be wise to fire this more than 4 shots without letting it cool down significantly, even though the ammo capacity allows for 8. Use of more than four shots without a cooldown period risks the generator exploding, resulting in damage to the firer and anyone within the weapons normal blast range.

However, against unarmored or lightly armored foes where the are not systems like impact resistance and kinetic dampening, the effect of this weapon is terrifying, and it is known especially for rupturing vascular organs like the spleen and such, quite easily. A hallmark of its' is causing massive multi-system trauma.

Against heavy armored opponents in plate like armor where the armor would take the blow, and may damage some of the armor systems, but often does minimal soft tissue damage and organ damage in these cases. This is due to the fact the armor takes the brunt of the blow.

Owing to it's strengths and weaknesses, the BOOMstick is an ideal room-clearing or 'sweeper' weapon, or a last resort hold-out in bottle neck and defense scenarios.
