He seemed confused as to why she did what she did whilst the risk of him breaking his feet seemed clear as day to her. Still, he had hit the nail on the head on one thing - she did like hugging him, a lot. Whether she liked hugs in general or not was a different story. "No, no, it was to- Well, yes, I like our hugs, but this was just to keep you from..." she paused for a moment, still holding him right whilst tilting her head up to remember the words he used "This was to apply pressure evenly and to avoid a sudden impact" She said a few of the words slower as they were taken directly from what she remembered him saying.

She listened to his calming words and noticing how effective they were. When he told her not to worry, she really did worry less, trusting that he knew what he was doing. She took a few deep breaths "Okay, just a few pirates, lousy ones" she repeated silently for herself. He soon called for her to join him and with a small number of long strides, she was there and sat down in the chair which she had grown so fond of.

A few weird noises later, and it seemed like the plan which Jacques had formulated in his mind had a hiccup. Still, she looked at him for guidance - there was no real use in her looking at the controls as she didn't know what any of it meant or what it did - especially with his non-physical interface. He then told her to go to the kitchen - she liked the part where she was supposed to rush. She would gladly rush. But her reading weren't very good and that caused her to grow nervous. More than that, she remembered having seen a panel with a few red buttons when digging around in the kitchen for breakfast. Getting out of her seat, she considered whether to reveal yet another weakness to him or not. For a brief moment, she even considered if it wouldn't be better to just take out the pirates - but then she remembered that hubris was a rather unbecoming trait to have.

This wasn't good. She hated exposing weaknesses and private details to others, and Jacques seemed to be finding hers with surgical precision. A light, almost helpless tone could be heard as she spoke "With a C or an S. And how do you spell that 'ea' part?" she asked, increasing her voice as she ran further away. When she finally arrived at the panel, she tried to read a few of the labels, identifying two red buttons which could be relevant as both of them ended with an L. Once having received the reading guidance from him, she smashed the 'Seal' one.

Hugs aside, it was cute that she tried to repeat what he had told her. She recited it almost exactly, though she seemed to fumble through the words. "Well, you did good." He nodded, patting her on the shoulder as he was set down; this was definitely going to take some getting used to. "You give good hugs so...yea." He wasn't sure where else to go with that, so naturally let that line of thought die off before it became weird.

Ciel was off to the kitchen, as Jacques was attempting to boot up the weapon systems. He heard her ask for clarification, 'C or S? Can she not read?' That'd have to be a conversation for another time. "The one with an 'S'." He didn't have time to give it much thought, as a warning signal indicated that there was a breech made in the airlock module, but now that the seals were engaged, he could try and get them out of there. "Ciel hold on back there!" He called out, as he punched full power to the engine, as the sound of shredding metal and something outside the ship was breaking off. The ship shook violently, as there was some initial resistance, then a firm 'slam' shook the whole vessel as whatever was holding the pair off had been torn off. Jacques felt a bit of discomfort as the impact slammed into him, sending him into the back of the chair, though thankfully nothing seemed to give. Several red lights flashed across the computer, but Jacques paid it no mind. Yea, there was damage to the hull, he'd have that taken care of later, right now they needed to get the hell out of here. "Ciel, you okay back there?" He called out, figuring she would be, but if not well, this next part was going to be hard. "I need you to man the guns, your console's ready to go." Hopefully she could make it up here, if not this whole run away thing was going to be hard to pull off.

He didn't tell her how the middle part was spelled, but knowing that the front was with an S was enough for her to know which button to press. She heard him call for her to hold on which was precisely what she did. There was no reason for her to question him - this was most definitely his field of expertise. Loud, violent metallic noises could then be heard as the ship yanked about. She held onto the kitchen island with a powerful grip which ensured that she wouldn't be thrown around as the Pegasus made its escape.

Soon, the ship seemed to steady with the violent noises subsiding. When she heard his voice, the girl ran back towards the Jacques in the cockpit. She looked at him, trying to assess whether he had been damaged or not. "Are you alright?" she asked as she sat down in the chair. Ciel herself was still in perfect condition, although that wouldn't matter too much, considering that she was wasn't going to fight anyone physically.

She looked at the console, confused as to what everything did. Deciding that it was relatively safe and that, probably, he hadn't built a self destruct button into the gunner's console, she tried a few of the commands out. First, the weapons went in different directions, giving her an idea of how to aim. Then, she accidentally fired off a couple of shots into the emptiness of space. She felt like she was being very useless at the moment and joked "What would you do without me?"

After a short while, a big red blast passed by their front window and the familiar sound of them being hailed could be heard again. Upon responding, Captain Krok would appear again "Sir, Madame, I am very disappointed in your actions. A portion of the boarding party was killed as a consequence of your actions. I am commanding you to turn of your engines and cease the ship to my supervision immediately." The Captain spoke with a stern voice and quite a bit of authority. Ciel could see why she was commanding a bunch of pirates and even started to doubt the 'lousy'-part.

"Yep, just fine. No compound fractures." He replied to her question, trying to focus on the task at hand. Sadly it seemed that Ciel didn't know what she was doing with the turret controls, the system indicated she fired off several shots into space.

He only shook her head as she asked her question. "Oh sweetie, you keep doing you. I'll keep us safe." He said aloud, throwing the shields to the rear of the ship as another message was sent towards them. Jacques cut the pirates transmission, not having time to put up with the woman's nonsense, as sensors indicated they were trying to keep up with the ship. "Dont worry, we can outrun them. This baby can move, you manage to pound down on them with that turret and we'll be good to go." An idea crossed Jacques mind, as he got a wicked grin. Pressing the return call function, as the captain appeared back on the transmission. "Just wanted to let you know, you can go feth yourself you shriveled old crone!" Before the woman could reply, Jacques cut the transmission, looking over to Ciel, snickering. "Sorry, couldn't resist."

Good, he was alright. It put her mind at ease as she was worried for him after their departure from whatever it was that produced the ugly metallic noise. Fastening some kind of seat belt, she soon assumed control over the turrets.

He said that he'd keep them safe. It was strange to hear it, coming from him as usually, she was the one keeping him safe - but then, 'usually' was only going back one day in time. At any rate, she believed him. Throwing a glance at him and seeing him focus on steering the vessel had her impressed. A fond smile grew on her lips despite all the chaos that was otherwise happening around them. Listening to the woman attentively, she was a bit surprised that he turned it off. She had, quite obviously, never been one who held much respect for public authorities and had no qualms with him shutting down this person who very much seemed to hold or at least have held such a position. Ciel let out a careful "Okay" upon hearing that it would be good if she could fire on their pursuers. Turning the turrets back, she saw that there was a corvette and four fighters following them - but considering how poor skills she had on the matter, she wouldn't be surprised if she missed anything. "We're in so much trouble" she mumbled as she aimed at one of the fighters.

Soon after Jacques hung up for the second time, a barrage was fired on them from the corvette and the fighters went into pursuit, quickly closing in on them. Ciel fired at the fighter she had initially targeted, forcing it to steer away - at least it wouldn't come at them just yet. The other three were, however, still heading in their direction. The girl the fired a few shots at the larger pirate ship and saw how they were all absorbed by the shields. She then returned her attention to the fighter, still flying directly towards them. Firing a number of bolts in their general direction, these fighters were also forced to take less direct routes. It seemed as if she was lucky since what she had in mind was just to shoot and one of the fighters. Despite their ship being fast, the fighters were starting to catch up. Seeing that, she kept firing at the purusing ships from time to time, forcing them to try to take evasive manoeuvres. Still, she didn't manage to hit any of them yet. "Why are they after you?" she asked after just having fired three shots at an incoming fighter which was subsequently forced to turn away.

They were fine, everything was going to be fine. He had been in much worse spots than this before, but then again he usually was by himself. Still, he could make it work, he always made it work. Several shots pinged against the rear shields, but they were holding for the time being; no big deal, just keep going. "Nah, this is nothing, least the ship is still flying, which isn't too bad for us truth be told." He pulled up a navigation chart, trying to see where they could go to next, perhaps another jump? There was an asteroid field near by, maybe that'd work. "Hey, just keep spraying them with fire. If we can get them to back off I can try for a jump." He advised her, working to come up with a solution for their problem. Those fighters were an issue, but the truth was that he had no real way to stop them from catching up.

She seemed to be having a hard time striking the targets, probably wasn't used to the weapon system, but that was alright; he wasn't much better either. "Don't worry, I think I have an idea." He muttered, looking to the charge on the shields of the ship. This was probably stupid, but given their mass verses that of the ship, it seemed likely that they could pull through okay. "I'm pretty sure they're just after my ship, this is a luxary class cargo freighter after all, so maybe that's why? You didn't hear them say they worked for someone else did you?" He couldn't imagine anyone that would want to come after him bad enough to hire pirates, but this was a bit odd for pirates to be this prepared. Once the sensors told him the fighters were moving into position, Jacques would slow down, letting the ships ram into the ship, hopefully destroying if not crippling the fighters, as he was hoping to at least reduce how many fighters they had on them.

C Ciel Rivage

Jacques was so confident, it was clear for her to see. He was both piloting the ship, telling her where she was needed and now also navigating and planning stuff. Meanwhile, she was fumbling about with the gun controls. Not wanting to let him down, she focused, determined to at least do something of value. "Okay" she said, just barely keeping up with all that was happening outside. She felt like a desperate kath-hound flailing about in a pond that was just a little too deep. Her method of just firing at an approaching fighter seemed to be at least somewhat effective

The chase went on and he told her not to worry. His words worked wonders as a much more optimistic "Okay" could be heard. With renewed confidence, she kept firing, even starting to catch the fighters when they made their evasive manoeuvres. She had thought that, maybe these people were after him for whatever he had done in the past, but of course, Jacques had a more logical explanation. For a few moments, she wondered if his question was rhetorical but he didn't answer it himself. Almost ashamed for even asking, she let out a low "no" her spirits had dropped a bit and her shooting was becoming a bit more absent minded in her shooting. "You're probably right" Like always Her voice was a bit lower than usual but her thoughts were filled of admiration for his intellect.

Soon, Jacques made what seemed to Ciel like a rather suicidal move. Their ship suddenly halted as the fighters were about to make an attack run with the Corvette still firing at them from a distance. "They're gon-!!" she exclaimed until she realised that it was part of his plan. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as she returned her full attention to the guns. The two fighters at the flanks were taking evasive manoeuvres, pushing their ships to the limits. Meanwhile, the girl started firing at the two in the middle. They were coming straight at them from a close range. She opened fire and saw her screen fill with explosions as the two ships perished. It was all due to him making them come so close and leaving them so few possibilities to avoid her fire and also a degree of luck.

I hope I'm right. He thought to himself, if not, this going to end up badly for them. The Pegasus wasn't build for a firefight, it was made for running, sadly fighters were a tad faster than this ship. Several more shots pinged against the shields of the ship, but they were holding. He wasn't sure how he coped so well with the stress, maybe because he viewed it as a problem to solve rather than a life and death consequence game. He looked to the sensors, seeing as how they were closing in, and it would really come down to timing. Cutting off on the engines, he held his breath, as he watched the two ships blink off the sensors thanks to Ciel's skilled firing, as he let the breath out and relaxed a tad. "Nice shooting!" He cheered, as Ciel seemed rather exuberant at having scored her two kills; sadly they weren't out of the woods yet. Jacques threw power back into the engines, as they shot off, sadly the pirate's ship had time to catch up, as they began to unload with the main guns, and those were able to punch past the shields.

The ship rocked violently, as the main console began to give off some siren alert; just in case it wasn't obvious the shields were down. The forces on affect of the pair however, were not so kind to Jacques, as his right arm slammed into the side of the controls, as his right arm fractured from the impact. "Damn it!" He shouted, his right limb being rendered useless, thankfully he could still operate the controls but his arm was rather busted. "Ciel, can you monitor the engines?" He asked, wincing through the pain as he looked to her. "Guns won't help us against that thing, we just need to out run them." Using his left hand, he transferred the engine controls over to her, hopefully she knew out to optimize the thrust out of the afterburner; if not she might risk burning them out.

C Ciel Rivage

With a raised fist, she let out a victorious "Yeah!!! Take that!" Filled with excitement, she turned to him "I got'em Jacques! I got'em!" her voice was both joyous and surprised at the same time. Of course, she realised that she probably wouldn't have hit any of them if it weren't for his manoeuvre which basically made it impossible for her to miss and them to evade - but it was besides the point. She had, to some extent, been useful, and for that, she was happy and apparently, also rather quick to look for his approval. The man was, after all, the reigning authority on techy things and ship things - at least among the two of them. Her smile grew even greater as he commended her shooting. The girl was practically bouncing in her seat as she excitedly returned her attention to the console.

She was getting more comfortable with the controls and started feeling a nice flow to how the guns worked. With a better understanding to it all, she managed to keep the two remaining fighters at bay better than before. Finally, the two of them commenced an attack run from opposite directions at the same time. Doing as she did before, Ciel fired at one of the fighters, forcing it to evade. Turning the turret around, she saw how the other fighter got a few shots off, further chipping off at the Pegasus' shields. Biting her lower lip, the young woman traced the fighter - rather than using any of the ship's tracking systems, she used her gut feeling and fired off five shots with the two last one hitting it at close range. Cheering, she looked to Jacques "I got it! I shot him down!" she exclaimed before returning her attention to the console, eager to fire at the last fighter. Once again, it was making an attack run towards them and once again, she fired a few shots to force it to abort after firing a shot which was absorbed by their shield. This time, however, she managed to fire off another few shots in the direction it evaded to and hit it. "They're down, Jacques! The fighters are all down!" she exclaimed happily. Considering her non-existent experience with ship turrets, what she did was bordering on miraculous. Although she didn't know of it, it was likely that the force might have guided her hand.

Still, Ciel had failed in protecting the ship well enough and with the fire from both the fighters and the corvette, their shields were now down. She fell forth as the ship rocked about, hitting her arm on an aluminium panel which caused it to buckle. The bruise that was bound to form was only secondary as the girl quickly looked over to the pilot. She saw that something seemed to be wrong with him and noticed how he only used one arm as he continued operating the ship. "I'm so sorry!" she said, feeling like she was the one to blame for their shields breaking. He asked if she could monitor engines and she let out an anxious "No" But with little choice, it seemed like the man would be forced to transfer the duties to her anyways. Just as the panels of information and commands plopped up, Ciel froze for a bit, not at all knowing what any of it did. This also seemed like a rather poor time to start reading stuff or learning on the go "Jacques, I don't know this!" she exclaimed helplessly. She was starting to hate space combat - now, she wouldn't be able to protect him and even worse, her incompetence might even but him in danger. Usually, brute force could solve most problems, but going out to punch the corvette was an unrealistic plan to say the least.

Ciel seemed to be doing quite well for herself over there, and Jacques found himself wishing that the situation looming before them wasn't so dire. At least Ciel was getting some enjoyment out of it. She took out another pair of fighters, and it seemed likely that they were going to have a nice ride out of this situation "Nice job, we'll get out of this yet!". Then things started going south fast. Ciel launched into an apology, but there was little she could have done to keep the shields from failing. He wanted to shout at her to stop being sorry, but now wasn't the time.

He looked over to her, seeing the panic that was clear on her face as she had no idea what to do. It clicked with him that she'd probably never operated a ship before, she probably had no clue what she was even doing. He groaned, as the ship took another hit, shaking the vessel once again. He would have tried to explain everything to her if he had time, but that was one luxury that they just didn't have on hand. The decision was rather forced on him, but again, there was no alternative. Pressing another key with his one good arm, Ciel would now be looking at the controls for the ship, while Jacques handled the engine. "Alright, here take the controls!" He was hoping she could have managed the engines, because doing this with one arm was going to take a bit. Still, he went to work, trying to optimize the out put without senselessly dumping fuel into the engines. His efforts were surprisingly effective, despite the great pain he was feeling in his right arm, the engine seemed to be responding well to his attempts. Hopefully Ciel was having an easier time with the controls.

C Ciel Rivage

Joyous feelings flooded her mind as Jacques commended her. It was nice to have someone so good in the field give praise for her efforts. His enthusiasm was also appreciated as it helped her keep focused. Whilst looked down at the controls, a smile beamed from her lips.

As she was panicking over not knowing what to do with the engine controls, all the monitors suddenly changed. Now, it seemed like she was controlling the ship instead. It was a slightly more forgiving task, it seemed, as directions were easier to understand than engine things. The more advanced aspects of piloting eluded her, but she got the basics. Although she maintained the general direction in which they were going, she tried having the ship go a little to the left, then right, then up and then down, just to try out the controls. She did, however, not try increasing or lowering the speed as it seemed like something which might affect his engine control thing.

Not doing anything advanced enough to require two hands, the girl slowly brought one hand over to Jacques. Although she liked the softness and smoothness there was to him, this was with an entirely different purpose. Now, she just wanted to keep him from getting hurt if the ship started shaking again. Not long after, it came. A shot from the Corvette caused the entire ship to start shaking violently as an alarm went off. Leaning over as much as she could, Ciel did her utmost to try to keep him stable in place. A fire alarm went off and a red light started blinking on her screen. Ciel was scared, scared of what would happen next, but having her hand placed on Jacques made her feel a tad safer. She didn't understand why, but accepting it, she kept it there. If nothing else, it would keep him from getting hurt if the ship started rocking again. In addition to the fire alarm, a hail from Captain Kork soon came in as the Corvette briefly ceased it's firing.

Ciel seemed to at least get a grip on how flight worked, which was good, left him to work without having to advise her on what to do next. He nearly had the afterburners all ready to go, when he felt a hand reaching for him and taking hold. He glanced over and saw that Ciel was reaching towards him, her other hand still operating the controls. He found her touch rather comforting, as while he wasn't stressed, he was certainly strained. He forced a smile, despite several sirens going off as the last hit seemed to have sparked a fire in the back. He wasn't concerned, just meant that he had some work to do once they got out of here. "Don't worry cutie, we'll get out of this yet." Seeing that the afterburner was ready to go, Jacques almost initiated it, then saw the call was going through, and the firing had stopped. Just their luck. A smile came across his face, as he glanced to Ciel. He took his good hand and put it over Ciel's as he spoke, squeezing it slightly. "Hey, straighten us out, I just need to push this ladies buttons before we haul."

Jacques would let the captain call in, as she was sure to embark on a long winded speech about how doomed they were, but Jacques was prepared to give it to her first. "I just wanted to make sure you were watching when I did this." Jacques pressed the initiation on the afterburner, as the ship lurched for a moment, and shoot off, leaving the pirate ship far behind, as Jacques began to begin a micro jump just to leave those idiots behind. He sunk back into his chair, still holding onto Ciel's hand as he looked to her. "See, told you we'd be fine."

C Ciel Rivage

Despite how scared she was, Ciel was still filled with butterflies as he called her 'cutie'. Blushing, she leaned her head forth to look at the controls, feeling a little embarrassed by how much his words affected her. Her eyes fell down to her hand as he gave her a squeeze. Even now, he was as gentle as ever - perhaps it was because of his condition, but still, she was all too fond of it. Following his instructions to the point, the young scoundrel commandeered the ship with a steady hand. It wasn't something complicated, which he had asked her to do and she complied without any issues. A mischievous smile grew on her lips "Push away!" she said with a happy voice. A sense of triumphant pride washed over her as he sent them away, They were surviving, all thanks to his smarts and skill with the ship.

Travelling through hyperspace, a sudden sense of calm fell upon the ship as the constant blaster fire from the corvette disappeared. Still, the fire alarm was sounding but seeing how calm Jacques was, Ciel assumed that it wasn't too dangerous. She used her thumb to stroke over his hand - still completely loving how soft, smooth and delicate it was, especially compared to her own. "I'll be back in a minute" she said, slipping out of his 'grip' as she headed back. Taking out the med-kit, the young woman brought out the unlabeled bottle and some kolto "You're hurt" she said, the concern in her voice obvious. Unless he did anything to prevent it, she went ahead and started the procedure, now being much more familiar with how it worked. His comment about being right caused her to smile "Yeah, you're right" she said, guessing that it was something she would probably say a lot more during the months to come.

Having earned a light layer of sweat during the cockpit and during the tense few minutes that had just passed, the cockpit was filled by her odour by now. But she was only just noticing it as things were starting to calm down. Although she felt a little awkward, there were more important things to mind for the moment. Once it looked like the medicine had set in, she asked "Feeling better?" whilst closing the kit and putting his good hand into hers.

It was nice to see her smile, it was such a nice smile at that, but he was getting sidetracked again. When they pushed off, he enjoyed the anger expression of the captain, but cut her off before she could swear vengeance upon them. Now he had time to focus on his injuries, though he wasn't exactly in the state to bounce up and take care of it. Ciel seemed to be trying to comfort him, as he forced a smile, not wanting to distress her; she didn't seem to handle him in pain. He pressed on the fire control mechanism, and let the automatic system take control of the fire situation. "I'll be right here." He winced, as she got up and disappeared beyond where he could see. When she returned, he let out a small chuckle, was this going to turn into a routine now? "I am?" He joked, looking down to his arm and back to her. "Oh yea, I am!" He chuckled, though truth be told it still was hurting rather bad. She set to work on fixing his limb, and he made a small note to tell her the limits of how often he could do this treatment; he was nearing the maximum as is.

The smell of perspiration was filling the cockpit, but he didn't pay it any mind. Was this what Ciel was so worried about? As she began to treat his injuries, he looked to her as he felt the healing at work. "Oh yea, much better." He replied, before reaching to grab her arm with her good hand. "You don't smell bad by the way, so don't worry." He laughed, before letting his hand slide down her arm, enjoying how sturdy her muscles had been developed. He looked down to the ship and shook his head, before glancing back to Ciel. "We're going to have to do some work on the ship, so we're both gonna be doing alot of sweating." He smirked, moving to get up. His arm was still stiff, but they'd need to get to work eventually. "You up for that? Or do you want to take a break before we get going with it?" He asked, as he was having to look up at her, else he'd be staring right into her chest.

C Ciel Rivage

While she was taking his injuries most seriously, Jacques seemed to be joking around. But this was no joking matter - she had seen him get hurt several times now, and she didn't like it. Normally, she might've given the offender a light punch to shut them up, but with Jacques, that was not an option. Frustrated with how nonchalant he seemed about his injury, Ciel let out a low grumble - similar to the one she'd let out when readying herself to bounce on someone. When he continued his joke, jestfully pretending to be surprised at being injured, she raised her hand and slowly put it in front of his mouth, transforming the remaining words he had to say into inaudible mumbles. She looked at him seriously "You got hurt and I don't like it, okay?" she asked and finished "You're under my protection" she said, regretful that she had let him come in harms way.

A meek smile formed on her lips as he confirmed that he felt better. Looking to his eyes, completely failing to notice his hand, Ciel was taken by surprise as his hand touched upon hers. Only having left Nar Shaddaa a day ago and still being used to the more harsh and dangerous environment there, her muscle immediately tensed, causing it to grow and become more hard and solid. Underneath his hand laid a thick layer of muscle, oozing with power, probably capable of striking him down within a matter of seconds. But it was under Ciel's control, and she knew his touch well by now - always soft and warm. Just as she realised that it was him, she relaxed again, once more, causing her muscle to shift underneath his hand. She was glad that he touched her and even more glad that he didn't mind her smell. "Glad to hear it" she said and continued "Because in that case, I think you'll be spending a lot of time on that board from earlier. Maybe something soft like a blanket and -" she paused to emphasise "You own datapad" she said and continued "could make it comfortable, cozy even." Her words were jestful in nature but still carried a sense of seriousness to them. The young woman was actually planning on continuing using him. At least for the time being.

Unfortunately for Ciel, Jacques had other plans - and they were more important than her workout as they were related to their survival. "Right" she said, slightly distracted by the recent sensation of having his hand on her arm. Especially since he chose to put it there himself, without any encouragement from her. Chuckling, the girl nodded along as he spoke, mentioning the sweating to be had when they worked on the ship. Responding to him, she nodded "Let's get to work" With that, she rose up, just as he elevated his gaze, causing it to track her chest all the way up. She didn't think about it and simply helped him up if he needed it. Soon, the two went to the stairs to the cargo hold. There were many cramped spaces in there but it didn't take long before they could see where the damage had been. It was in a panel sitting deep within in a narrow corridor. She threw a glance at him and not knowing whether there would be anything loose to fall down or not, she went in. With her wide frame and narrow space, the young scoundrel moved sideways as she got deeper into the corridor.

Clearly this was not the time for joking, as Ciel put an end to his joke before he could finish it. He didn't realize she was going to take her job this seriously, which was probably for the best; he really was going to need her, more than she knew. "Okay, sorry." He mumbled, feeling a tad silly for having upset her. "I just hurt myself so often, I just don't see the point of getting worked up about it." He was probably going to break something next week anyways.

He enjoyed the contact with her, probably because he hadn't experienced these sensations before; he could recall the last time he physically touched another person like this, probably never. He wasn't exactly amused by her suggesting that he was going to be her work out partner going forward. If anything, he could at least appreciate her build, she was perfect in just about every proportion he had seen her in thus far. "I don't know, that love slave book really captured me. If I get it on my datapad, I guess there's not really an issue then is there?" He snickered, thinking of how badly she might be blushing at having to listen to that audio book again. "Though I get to watch you in all your glory, so I guess it's a decent trade off." He shrugged, after all, there was much worse that he could get stuck with.

Ciel seemed ready to go to work, and seeing little reason to delay, Jacques grabbed up his tools and made his way on down to the cargo hold. He was hoping the damage would be too bad, but then again there was no way to know until he got the read out. Moving towards the Cargo hold, Jacques let Ciel go first, as he needed a read out of the damage. He plugged his diagnostic tool into the terminal, and pulled out a read out, and began to look it over as he followed in behind her; hopefully Ciel wasn't having too much of an issue, it was a rather tight space after all.

C Ciel Rivage

Although she didn't like thinking of him getting hurt or find it very funny, she did feel inclined to forgive him. Maybe. Slowly lowering her hand from his mouth, she nodded whilst looking at him silently. After looking for a while, the young scoundrel moved on. It would take quite a bit of getting used to to have him be hurt all the time.

She listened to his suggestion about taking up her book. Had he forgotten that she could crush him with minimal effort? Once again, she just silently looked at him, thinking that maybe she wasn't intimidating enough. The girl sighed - if he really had the mind to do it, there wasn't much she could do to stop him - she liked his company and was not going to hurt him - maybe that's why he could afford to be so bold. "Don't" she muttered. After a long pause, she spoke with a resigned expression "And if you do, at least read the text version or use headset." While she didn't like the idea of him reading 'her' book, Ciel did look forward to getting a real workout. Especially after the rather taxing ordeal they had just been through. It would be nice to do something through which she could recenter and clear her thoughts.

Clearing out some fallen objects or debris, Ciel was surprised by how narrow the path was becoming. Down at the cargo hold, it seemed like the ship was designed for small people as she sometimes struggled to squeeze into a path and pushing her way through. Still, she tried to maintain a good momentum, and push on, sometimes noticing how weaker point of the structure with thinner and softer metals gave way to her advance. Suddenly, it stopped as one of the paths simply seemed to be way to narrow for her. Her sudden halt and consequent turn back towards him ensured that they'd be close. Her eyes were only a few centimeters away from his and she could feel his warm breath upon her lower neck. "Jacques" she said with a low voice, planning on explaining her situation to him. Before she could, however, her eyes were caught in his. All normal logical functions seemed to stop working as she let her instincts take control. Carefully, the arm she had on his side reached out to touch the middle of his back. Her eyes were still locked with his as a soft smile started growing on her lips. Slowly, her hand travelled down his back until it finally stopped at his waist. Gently, she started applying a little pressure, pulling for him to come closer - it was quite the contrary to what was needed in order for her to get out. But at this time, that was not important.

She really didn't like the idea of him reading that book, so he decided against doing that. He had to respect her right to not find that funny, and maybe it was a bit much.

Jacques hadn't noticed his companion had got stuck until he softly bumped into her in the corridor. He glanced up at her, eyebrows raised as she spoke his name softly. It took a moment to recognize that she was stuck, but she didn't look too concerned about it. "Ciel?" He asked, before feeling her hand wrap around him, then travel down around his waist. He felt tingly and rather strange, as he looked up to her, only to find that she was pulling him into her. There eyes were locked on one another, and he could see she appeared to be fixated on him. This was a rather strange time for a hug, but it was awfully tight here and they had a rather dangerous brush with death. He allowed himself to be brought closer, his breath pressing hit against her neck, as he stowed his datapad and brushed his hand across the small of her back. Her slid his finger tips upwards, as he wrapped his other arm around her front. He smiled up at her, feeling a tad bit awkward, but she seemed rather happy about it. "Everything alright?" He asked, feeling a bubbling nervousness within his chest.

Her hand sat firmly on his waist, feeling it's warmth and softness. She wanted him closer. Seeing his arms peripherally and feeling their soft and gentle touch made made her mouth fall open, just a few millimeters, as she let out a small breath. Jacques seemed to be closing in on her in a hug, wrapping an arm on each side of her, easily slipping in between her and the walls which held her in place. Her arm kept pushing him closer until the two met in an awkward embrace with him being much shorter and her not in a position to adapt as she stood sideways, stuck in the narrow path.

Ciel's head dove down a little as she brushed against his pan with her cheek and letting her defined chin touch with his nose. "No" she replied with a serene tone. She wanted him closer, more so than he was already - it made the task rather hard to accomplish. Her hand on his back went lower, even forcing her to lean over him, forcing his back to arch backwards for a moment. Once her hand had reached his derrière, Ciel took hold and started lifting. She was strong, but this took a bit of effort. Still, up he went and once he could once again be pushed against her body, it became much easier to manage. Their eyes were now at an equal level, allowing her too look straight into his eyes "It's better than alright" she admitted with a warm and a little strained tone.

Pressing her pan against his, Ciel allowed her face to keep creeping closer until their noses touched. Her eyes fell to look at his lips as a smile formed on her mouth. She pushed forth, putting her nose to the left of his and playfully moved it to the other side. "Are you alright?" she asked, returning the concern he had previously shown, also giving him an opportunity to withdraw. Soon, the girl went forth, to leave a soft kiss on his lips. She was filled with an euphoric emotion and felt her power and energy refill - any strain caused from holding him seemed to disappear and and with the blink of an eyes, all the homesickness she had previously held disappeared. Pulling her head back a little to see him, a great smile grew on her lips as she looked him fondly in the eyes.

Jacques was frankly confused when she said things weren't alright, but that confusion only grew as her hand went lower before being hoisted up to eye level. He hadn't expected this outcome, and frankly it was a bit of a surprise. She was beautiful, but this was just....well it was a shock. He wasn't sure how exactly, or what exactly, he was supposed to do, but this felt nice for the time being. Her skin was warm, soft, and yet he could feel the steely muscle underneath it all. Her body reminded him of sculptures he had seen in holovids, but this statue was living, breathing, and right in front of him. His nose brushed against her chin on his way to be equal with her, and he felt his stomach drop despite the fact there was no falling involved. He found there was a special shade to her eyes he could notice now, like the deep blue of the ocean, but full of life; and free of fish.

She seemed to loom closer, and it was he realized he couldn't think straight. He had thoughts of course, but they were like broken bits of code, whatever program he was trying to run wasn't going to be working. She asked him a question, but he didn't know what she said, he was too distracted by the fact she was hardly an inch infront of him. "Uh." He mumbled, unsure what it was he was feeling, or what was going on. He swallowed hard, not sure as to what this sensation was, or if he would be able to pull away from it; though he also didn't want to. He didn't know where this was coming from, but clearly he had done something to initiate this. What happened next caused his brain to short circuit, as he felt her lips press against his own. A fire exploded through his body, his mind went numb, and as Ciel pulled away, Jacques was left looking rather dumbfounded at his personal bodyguard. He smiled at her, seeing that she was rather jubilant about the exchange; and truth be told he was as well. He bit down on his lip, looking down and only finding that he was looking directly into her cleavage. "Wow. Okay." He managed to gasp out, though he had no clue what he was supposed to say. Was....this how relationships worked?
