STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

+ Plasma Is the Best - Plasma cannon hidden behind the droid's eye.

+ Learning Constructive - They're capable of 'faux-learning' or adding to their knowledge base within the confines of their programming due to the
Heuristic processor.

+ Scanning The Area - The droid has scanners so it can see hidden weapons as well as tell friend from foe across a battlefield.

+ DION Fibre - Allows it to be resistant to EMP/Ion attacks.

+ Mirdimorut Droid Brain - Allows the droid to come up with new tactics quickly as well as store all of the necessary information on all styles of lightsaber combat.

+ Shielded - The Droids are shielded with molecular shielding.

+ Detection Occurring - Can be used to detect any fluctuations in the local gravity field.

+ Memory Crystals - Stores all previous battle data from any unit that has been deployed allowing it to come up with tactics quicker.

- Melting Point - Both droids are vulnerable to acid substances.

- Itty Bitty - Both droids are very small. They lack in physical strength and can only see so much from their limited vantage points. Many times, they will need to rely on a data-stream for things that exist above their heads.

- Bunny Chic - However diminutive, they are still very unique, and tend to stand out in a crowd.

- I Fired Too Quick - The plasma cannon behind the droid’s eye can overheat if used too much.

- Stranger Danger - It cannot tell friend from foe, meaning it is up to the user to make that distinction and will not be able to sense through people or buildings.

- Codependent - This particular model of
droid is always distributed in pairs. They cannot be separated or their ‘faux learning’ will no longer function as it should. They need one another to operate correctly and intuitively will always try and find their other half.

APPEARANCE:

BNI-9000 and BNI-9001 are both high end, top of the line, Confederate creations. Instead of falling for a more common trope of droids that inspire terror at a glance, the creator, by the name of [member="Rex Taff"], used inspiration from a friend by the name of [member="Srina Talon"]. To be fair, she had mostly been making a terrible attempt at telling a joke, but the end result were these wonderful pieces of Chiss ingenuity. The chassis is made of durasteel plating that provides superior protection to sensitive components and wiring. They are shaded an ivory tone, with the main differences between the pair appearing to be slight variations in coloration. The ‘female’ rabbit has blue lighting and slightly more ornate silver accents whereas the ‘male’ version appears less flashy with red lighting and black accents.

For lack of a better term, or any sort of scientific jargon, they are cute. Adorable. No one expects a blaster cannon for an eye.

Powering on for the first time was not unlike being born. At least, that was what BNI-9000 liked to think it thought. A singular blue photoreceptor flickered around the mostly empty room, compiling data, in order to figure out where it was. It, she, could see a tall blue near-human creature standing over her, making adjustments to her ears, before finally placing his tools on the workbench. The organic gave her a few simple commands, of which she obeyed, before he reached out and pat her on the head. She didn’t understand the significance but took it to be a sign of approval and stored the action in her memory banks.

BNI-9000 sat up, mechanical ears twitching before she looked around the room. It was bright. Suddenly, across the way, she saw something new. Something just like her. She looked down at the small crafted paws that passed for hands and brought one up. The action was foreign. Hesitantly, she waved. It waved back. She stored that in her memory as well.

It was then that the blue man gave them a name. Almost, as if they were more than metal and wiring. It made BNI-9000 feel strange. Feel? It was such an outlandish concept. The silver-edged automaton would have frowned. If it could have. It had no mouth, merely, a speaker where a small feminine voice could repeat translated bits of code and data.

“You are Bella.”, the creator, the scientist, spoke.

BNI-9000 looked up at the man, before looking back at the machine that looked just like her, far more interested in her duplicate. “What will you call it?”

“Leo.”

“Why?”

The sudden male voice startled BNI-9000. She hadn’t expected the rabbit-shaped droid across from her to speak up. Not when she was only just discovering her own voice modulator. Finding a sense of curiosity, fashioned of algorithms running as intended, creating an artificial desire to learn, BNI-9000 looked back at the blue man. “Yes. Please tell us why.”

The man paused, before speaking, clearly very intelligent. He was proud of the way they were adapting. It could be seen in the tired hues of his iris. He had worked to perfect them long and hard. In the end, it seemed, that they would make rather excellent little murder moppets for [member="Srina Talon"]. “It is an old story of Eshan. I heard it once, from a friend, who was feeling a touch homesick. Isabella and Leonardo. I forget which was which, but one was the patron, and the other was the artist. The artist could not survive without the helping hand of the patron. The patron could not prosper without works from the artist. It is a basic form of interdependence.”

“You will do your best work, together, and you should strive to remain that way.”

BNI-9001 or Leo, found his ruby red gaze focused on the smaller BNI-9000. Bella. He analyzed the chassis that had been designed for her and found it fitting. It hadn’t occurred to the droid until that very moment that this scenario was incorrect. He moved suddenly, pushing himself from the workbench, only to land with surprising spryness. He tested his bi-pedal footsteps for a moment, before moving across the lab, only to wait silently before the BNI-9000. She hopped down from the long table and landed daintily before her counterpart. Leo stared. Bella stared back.

BNI-90001 reached out with twin metal arms and wrapped them around the BNI-9000. The sound of metal lightly hitting metal rang in the air. Bella returned the gesture, on programmed instinct, feeling a bubble of knowledge beginning to form. Soon, both droids understood. They found purpose within one another.
