Blood In The Water

[member="Sochi Ru"]

As soon as the scream stopped Vrak managed to recover himself slightly. He could feel blood drip down the side of his neck on both sides, there was a loud ringing in his ear, and all hearing had completely passed him by. He felt dizzy, disorientated.

His head spun and he staggered slightly, his fingers attempting to catch the side of the cliff face in vain.

For a moment both of them were simply dumbstruck, either pelted by dozens of rocks or completely disoriented by a debilitating screech. Vrak scowled as he tried to grab onto something, steady himself, do...anything. His fingers curled into tight fists, his gaze managed to sweep towards her, seeing as the last of the stones broke off of her arms. A snarl passed over his lips as he saw her, the ringing in his ears seemingly growing louder as the force floodded him.

He pulled as much power as he could into himself, his bones beginning to ache.

Vrak didn't care anymore, this wasn't about manners or respect, it was simply about one thing; winning.

With a cry of pain Vrak unleashed one last surge of lightning from his fingers. A barrage powerful enough that it fell back upon him almost immediately singeing his fingers and burning into his arm.

A soft grunt escaped her lips after the last rock collided with her forearm. She was so tempted to grip them and hold her arms as they ached in pain. Though she had no time because as soon as she stood up and withdrew her arms from her face she heard the boiling cry of rage and pain. The area seemed to shake and her body jolted backwards.

Almost instantly she was in the path of a fierce attack brought up by his Sith lightning. There was no dodging. She quickly brought up her right hand as a reflex, and her head cowered behind her left as a bright flash of light emitted from the area.

She erected a barrier, generated by the force. A last minute act she was able to hold back the energy initially. Overtime her feet began to slide through the sand as she held her ground during the assault. She could feel the energy building up and just then as a bright flash erupted again, she was thrown back by the kinetic energy she couldn't repel.

A few feet away she landed against the ground, being tossed on her side. Right after her body grew sore. She slowly turned over and tried to look up.

Vrak stumbled slightly.

His arm smoked, his fingers were blackened, and the robes on the left side of his body were singed and burned. He scowled slightly, stumbling and struggling to keep himself standing. His right hand wrapped around a nearby stone, watching as the woman lay on the floor just a few meters away. She seemed to twitch slightly, barely moving. The Pureblood smiled, his foot painfully stepping ahead of the other. Slowly, at barely a crawl, he made his way over towards her.

He pressed his hand against the side of the canyon, using it as support to slowly walk towards the woman. He frowned as he approached her, watching as she slowly turned herself to look towards him. He scowled, coming to loom over her. Bright yellow eyes locked onto hers.

"Give up." Vrak said simply. He hardly had the energy left to fight anymore, and if it turned out that she still did...it wouldn't be good. So The Pureblood put his last efforts into lookinglike he was ready for more. His back straigthened, his head was held high, the small twitch of a smile settling on his lips even as one half of his body was ravaged by his own actions. He looked down at her with a sneer.

Then his leg shot out in a kick, hopefully to put her down, at least for a little while.

She saw the shadow, had already felt his presence, she forced her body to turn and look upon his scowl. Her body twitched as she forced herself up, even now...she felt restraint. Seems old habits break hard...or maybe not at all. He had the advantage over her of course but she could tell by the beat of his heart that he didn't have it in him for them to prolong their duel.

He spoke, and she glared "Walk away..." she said as her voice vibrated through the struggle. "You won't attempt to strike the blow...because I'll take you with me." she said gently. She would have never said such a thing as a Jedi...where did all that end for her? She was so devoted and now she was just...

She was kicked and her body collided with the ground once again, her vision became dazed and she just laid there for a moment. The area reverberated with her low moans of pain.

His breaths were becoming heavier and heavier, his chest rose and fell. Vrak was at his very edge, his fingers tightening into a fist. He could barely stand, he could barely make it the next few steps, but he wanted her to fall. He wanted her to give up, he wanted to see her beg and plead for her life.

"You've forgotten where we are." Another foot forward.

The Pureblood staggered slightly, his vision half burring as he took another step towards where she had rolled to. He heard the whimper of pain that escaped her lips, watched as her entire body shook. Vrak tried to take that as motivation, he tried to tell himself she was ready to give up. "This is Korriban."

He took in a sharp breath.

"My world." He came to loom over her. "My place of power."

The Sith collapsed forward, falling onto her and reaching towards her throat, hoping to grab and pin her to the floor before she could get away.

Another low grunt of pain, as she attempted to turn her head, blood leaked from the side of her mouth and formed clots in the sand. She heard his words rumble in her ears and he clung on just as she did. Suddenly, she felt the shadow shroud her in its darkness and she forced herself to look upon him.

"Yo..You are not..w..worthy of such power..." She said with a scowl upon her face, the side of her head and face stinging in pain.

She tried to launched herself at him, but he fell forward. His weight was enough to pin her tired body down. His hand gripped her throat as they fell backwards. Hers came up and wrapped itself around his wrist; it was a natural reaction.

"Death...is..beatable. Yo..you'll gain nothing." she said letting the expression in her face fade.

He grinned a wide Chesire grin.

His teeth bared, his lips pulling back. It was as if her struggle her push back against him seemed to energy him. His fingers pressed against her throat, his grip growing tighter and tighter as he forced the air from her lungs. The Sith pinned her to the ground, his voice a rasp. "Don't worry."

Vrak's voice was barely a whisper.

His fingers tightened again, bringing her to the edge of unconsciousness.

"I will not kill you." He tightened his grip once more. "I have much better plans."
